About Chopstix
Chopstix is a Chinese Restaurant located at 31230 TX-100 in Los Fresnos, Texas, serving the local community with a variety of Chinese dishes. Based on the limited recent customer reviews available, the experiences at Chopstix appear to be somewhat varied, with strong positive feedback in some areas contrasted by significant concerns in others. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview for local users considering dining at or ordering from this establishment.
One customer expressed a highly positive sentiment, stating, "Love the food best Chinese food I’ve ever tried! Employees were great! Never have any problems." This glowing review suggests that for some patrons, Chopstix offers exceptional Chinese cuisine that surpasses other experiences. The reviewer also praised the employees, indicating that the staff provides excellent service and contributes to a problem-free dining experience. This feedback highlights the potential for a very satisfying meal and positive interactions at Chopstix.
However, another customer who had their first experience at Chopstix shared a more critical perspective. They ordered takeout and noted that while the "friendly staff at the window" provided a positive initial impression, they observed that the "restaurant needs a good cleaning or remodel." This raises concerns about the environment and cleanliness of the establishment, which can significantly impact a customer's overall perception and comfort level.
Regarding the food, this second reviewer had a mixed experience. They found the "cabbage soup was very good," indicating that at least one menu item was enjoyable. However, their feedback on the other dishes ordered was less favorable. The "orange chicken" was described as "dry" and having "chicken pieces are to big." Similarly, the "Kung Pao chicken" also had "chicken to big" and, more critically, "it didn't have and of the ingredients it suppose to have." This suggests significant issues with the preparation and quality of these two popular Chinese dishes, potentially lacking proper moisture, having an unappetizing texture, and not adhering to standard recipes.
The second reviewer concluded with a hope that the restaurant would "pay more attention on the food," indicating a desire for improvement in the culinary aspects of their offering. This suggests that while the staff might be friendly, the quality and preparation of some dishes may need to be addressed to ensure a consistently positive dining experience.
Considering these two contrasting reviews, the experience at Chopstix in Los Fresnos appears to be inconsistent. One customer found the food to be the best they've ever had and praised the staff, while another noted cleanliness issues and significant problems with the preparation of key dishes like orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken, despite acknowledging the friendliness of the takeout window staff. The positive feedback on the cabbage soup suggests that some menu items might be well-executed.
The reviews provide limited information about the overall environment of Chopstix beyond the second reviewer's observation about the need for cleaning or remodeling. There are no details about the dining area for dine-in customers, the ambiance, or any specific features that might characterize the restaurant's setting. The mention of a takeout window implies that this service is available and perhaps frequently used.
In terms of services, Chopstix offers both dine-in (implied by the need for cleaning/remodel) and takeout options (explicitly mentioned by the second reviewer). The staff is described as "great" and "friendly," suggesting a positive aspect of their customer service, at least in some interactions. However, there is no information about other potential services such as delivery, online ordering, or catering.
The features of Chopstix are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews. The menu includes standard American Chinese dishes like orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken, as well as potentially less common items like cabbage soup. The contrasting feedback on these dishes suggests that the quality and execution might be a key area where Chopstix could improve to ensure greater customer satisfaction. There is no information available regarding any unique features or specialties of the restaurant.
Finally, there is no promotional information mentioned in either of the reviews. Local users would need to contact Chopstix directly or check local listings to find out about any special offers, discounts, or featured menu items that might be currently available.
In conclusion, Chopstix in Los Fresnos, TX, presents a mixed picture based on the limited available reviews. While some customers have had exceptional experiences with the food and staff, others have raised concerns about cleanliness and the quality of certain dishes. Local users considering Chopstix might want to take these varied experiences into account. The positive review suggests the potential for a great meal, but the negative feedback highlights areas where the restaurant may need to improve consistency and quality, particularly in the preparation of popular items and the overall maintenance of the premises. For those interested in trying Chopstix, it might be prudent to inquire about the preparation of specific dishes or perhaps start with items that have received positive mentions, like the cabbage soup. Love the food best Chinese food I’ve ever tried! Employees were great! Never have any problems
Was my first time here, I order to go, frienly staff at the window, but restaurant needs a good cleaning or remodel, cabbage soup was very good, but the rest not so good, I order orange chicken and it was dry and chicken pices are to big also order Kung Pao chicken and chicken to big it didn't have and of the ingredients it suppose to have. Hope they can pay more attention on the food
Service was good and great variety of dishes. The Mongolian Beef was too sweet for my taste. As you can see the excess oil from the crab wonton. The cabbage soup was awesome.
CLOSED for 18 months after a fire. They could have built a new restaurant in less time. Incompetent management and ownership,
The staff always treat you very nicely. As a regular because I work in the area, they always remember me too. So it's nice to feel seen! They also have a drive-thru to make it easy to pick up. The dine-in experience is also nice when the staff make you feel comfortable. The food is also great for the cheap prices.
