A significant feature of Chopsticks is its diverse menu, specializing in authentic Szechuan, Hunan, and Cantonese dishes. This regional focus allows diners to experience a broader spectrum of Chinese culinary traditions, each known for its distinct flavors and cooking techniques. Szechuan cuisine is famous for its bold, spicy, and numbing sensations, often derived from Sichuan peppercorns. Hunan cuisine, also known as Xiang cuisine, is characterized by its hot and sour flavors, as well as the liberal use of chili peppers, garlic, and shallots. Cantonese cuisine, originating from Guangdong province, is known for its fresh, natural flavors, often achieved through steaming, stir-frying, and the use of delicate sauces.

This positive feedback on standard takeout fare indicates that Chopsticks also excels in preparing classic American Chinese dishes with attention to detail and taste. First time ordering from here and very happy with my choice! I ordered online and had a few questions. The service was fantastic, with no rush answering questions and making changes for me. Our large family order was done quickly and super fresh! Everything tasted wonderful! Pricing is typical for Chinese takeout, and I feel the price was appropriate for the quality. Will be our regular spot for Chinese take-out nights! (Pictured is Boneless spare ribs, Singapore chow Mei fun, roasted pork lo mein, human Shrimp, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork)
New to the neighborhood is Chopsticks serving authentic Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese dishes. Conveniently located near Lowe’s Food on South Common Drive in Mrytle Beach. One can do pickup, delivery and/or dining with counter ordering and a simple layout of padded chairs and tables. Our order of sweet and sour chicken, fried rice and egg roll came piping hot with a side of sweet and sour sauce. Thick chunks of chicken lightly breaded and fried, flavorful rice with a blend of onions and vegetables and crispy egg rolls. Large portion and an extra egg roll served the needs of two. Good food, friendly service and reasonable prices will have us returning.
Arriving in Myrtle Beach hungry we tried this place. The server was friendly and there were quite a few people dining and in there for take out orders. I ordered orange chicken and upgraded my rice to fried as opposed to the white rice that originally came with the meal. My wife ordered sesame chicken and upgraded her rice as well. The portions were big and the plate looked quite delicious but that's where the appeal stopped. The sauce on both dishes were pasty and bland in flavor. The breaded chicken was hard as though it was either reheated by cooking it again or just over cooked. My feeling was it was reheated by cooking. The broccoli on the plate was cold and I couldn't understand why since the meal was warm. We definitely wouldn't go back again. My stomach was okay but my wife spent the evening with a upset stomach in the bathroom!
I had high hopes for this place since it is just around the corner from our new home in Queens Harbor. We ordered General Tso's chicken and the house special fried rice. The to go order was ready on time and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately both the chicken and rice where tasteless. Nether my wife or I liked it. I have eaten at several of the other Asian take out restaurants in Murrells Inlet and on 707 and those have been consistently good. For $30 I expected better, I guess I will be driving to one of those in the future. One and done for me.
The food was really good. The fried rice was flavorful with huge portions of meat, and the staff were friendly, and service was quick. Highly recommend!
