About Chopsticks
Chopsticks is a Chinese Restaurant located at 884 Remsen Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Chopsticks aims to serve the community with a variety of Chinese dishes. This introduction is based on recent feedback from customers who have shared their experiences with the restaurant, highlighting both positive and negative aspects.
One customer recounted a significantly negative experience involving a takeout order. According to this review, after a very short time returning to the restaurant, the customer discovered that the chicken in their order had a "tainted taste" and, alarmingly, contained garbage mixed in with the food. Upon immediately returning to the restaurant to show the owner, the customer reported that the owner refused to acknowledge the issue. Despite being polite and only requesting a fresh order rather than a refund, the customer alleged that the owner became belligerent and refused to accommodate them, citing potential financial loss. This reviewer strongly advised others to avoid the establishment, further claiming that the restaurant showed a lack of respect for people of color and responded with insolent replies despite the customer's respectful demeanor. This review also mentioned finding a piece of foil and what appeared to be part of a price tag in the food, emphasizing the unbelievable nature of the discovery and reiterating that none of the food had been eaten.
In contrast to this highly critical review, another customer offered a positive perspective, identifying Chopsticks as "one of the few Chinese restaurants that can provide good food." This reviewer mentioned knowing about this Brooklyn location as a second branch of a restaurant whose first location is in Ozone Park, Queens. They stated that they enjoy Chopsticks due to the "quality of the food" and expressed satisfaction about having a location nearby, particularly during the winter months, indicating an intention to frequent the restaurant. This review presents a starkly different view of the food quality at Chopsticks.
Given the conflicting nature of these two recent reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the typical environment or ambiance of Chopsticks. One review focuses entirely on a negative experience with a takeout order and the subsequent interaction with the owner, without mentioning the physical space of the restaurant. The other positive review concentrates on the food quality and the convenience of the location, also without describing the restaurant's atmosphere.
Regarding services, Chopsticks clearly offers takeout, as indicated by the negative experience shared by one customer who made a "take away" purchase. The positive review also implies that takeout is an option, given the customer's satisfaction with having a location nearby for their winter meals. It is highly probable that Chopsticks also provides dine-in services at their location on Remsen Avenue. The availability of phone numbers ((718) 629-3555 and +1 718-629-3555) suggests that customers can place orders or make inquiries via telephone. Whether Chopsticks offers delivery services is not mentioned in the provided reviews. Local residents interested in food delivery may need to contact the restaurant directly or check with third-party food delivery platforms to ascertain if this service is available.
In terms of features, the positive review highlights "the quality of the food" as a reason for their enjoyment of Chopsticks, suggesting that consistent food quality might be a feature for some customers. However, the negative review directly contradicts this, citing tainted food and foreign objects mixed in. This discrepancy makes it difficult to identify reliable features based solely on these two accounts. The fact that Chopsticks has a second location in Ozone Park, Queens, might suggest an established presence and perhaps a consistent menu across both locations, but this is speculative based on the limited information provided about the Brooklyn branch.
Currently, there is no promotional information included in the provided customer reviews. Chinese restaurants often offer various promotions to attract customers. To find out if Chopsticks is currently running any special offers or discounts, interested customers would need to contact the restaurant directly or look for any advertisements in local media or online platforms.
In conclusion, the recent customer feedback for Chopsticks Chinese Restaurant in Brooklyn, NY, presents a concerning contradiction. One customer reported a severe issue with food quality and hygiene, coupled with a negative interaction with the owner, leading to a strong recommendation to avoid the establishment. Conversely, another customer praised the restaurant for providing "good food" and expressed satisfaction with its quality and convenient location. This divergence in experiences makes it challenging for potential customers to form a definitive opinion based solely on these two reviews. Local users considering Chopsticks may want to weigh these contrasting accounts and perhaps seek additional, more recent reviews from other sources to gain a broader understanding of the current food quality, service, and overall experience offered by the restaurant.

I made a purchase at the restaurant today. Take away. After 4 minutes I return to the restaurant. After opening the food found the chicken had a tainted taste and to find garbage mixed in. I returned to show the owner immediately and she refused to acknowledge the error. I was very polite. I didn't ask for a refund I just asked for a fresh order. The woman became belligerent and refused to accommodate me siting she would be losing money. Please by all means avoid this place. They have no respect for ppl of color. No matter how respectful I was toward her I was countered with insolent replies. Take heed. Why support a business that has no respect for us? A piece of foil and what else looks like a piece of a price Tag. Unbelievable. As you can see all the food is there. Nothing was eaten. Not as if I had eaten all of it and asked for a refund
Chopsticks is one of the few Chinese restaurants that can provide good food. I've know about this second location for some time now. The first is in Ozone Park, Queens. I enjoy chopsticks because of the quality of the food. It's winter and I plan to eat my fill. I'm glad there a store close by.
I had veggies with bean curd - this was the best bean curd I've ever had. While the veggies were a bit too salty, together with the rice it was quite excellent. Definitely the place when you want to eat good food with no fuss.
Absolute trash! I live close by and my cousin has been trying to get me to stop going here since the food is exceptionally questionable. I finally settled on wonton soup, which they can’t mess up, and would get some every once in a while whenever I passed by. They don’t take credit cards. Today, they refused to take my $10 bill, which had a very small tear in the corner. While a fellow client (a total stranger) argued on my behalf that the bill was absolutely fine , I placed the bill back in my wallet, and took this as a sign to never visit this establishment again.
Ordered through uber eats and all of a sudden it stated store personnel would be delivering. Called store 6x”s they kept transferring me to on line manager. Phone went straight to voicemail no one could validate either uber eats driver or store personnel delivering. Ultimately store personnel did deliver. If that’s the case why are they charging customers uber eats prices ? Think about that
