About Chopsticks House
Welcome to Chopsticks House, a Chinese restaurant situated at 86 Society St in Charleston, SC (zip code 29401), USA. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Chopsticks House aims to serve the local community with a variety of Chinese-inspired dishes. Based on recent customer feedback, Chopsticks House offers a dine-in option for patrons who prefer to enjoy their meals on-site.
One customer expressed their satisfaction with the reopening of the dine-in area, stating that Chinese food "just hits so much better when eaten on the spot." This suggests that Chopsticks House provides an environment where customers can enjoy a freshly prepared meal in the restaurant itself. While this review doesn't offer specific details about the decor or ambiance, the emphasis on the enjoyment of on-site dining indicates that Chopsticks House aims to provide a suitable space for customers to eat and socialize.
In terms of services, the primary service highlighted in the reviews is the availability of dine-in. However, it is reasonable to assume that Chopsticks House also offers takeout options, as is common for many Chinese restaurants. The phone number provided, (843) 965-5866 or +1 843-965-5866, can be used to inquire about their services, including takeout and any potential delivery options.
The menu at Chopsticks House includes familiar Chinese-American dishes, with specific mentions of spare ribs and pork fried rice in one of the reviews. This customer reported ordering these two items. However, their experience took a severely negative turn due to a critical food safety issue. The reviewer stated that they found a roach in their food, leading to a highly unsatisfactory experience and a vow not to patronize the restaurant again, regardless of the refund they received. This is a significant concern that potential customers should be aware of.
The stark contrast between the two reviews provides a mixed perspective on Chopsticks House. While one customer appreciated the reopening of the dine-in option, the other reported a serious issue with food quality and hygiene. The negative review raises significant concerns about the restaurant's food safety practices and overall quality control. The severity of the issue described could understandably deter potential customers.
Given the limited number of reviews available, it is challenging to form a comprehensive and balanced view of Chopsticks House. The positive comment about the dine-in experience suggests that some customers may have had satisfactory meals there. However, the extremely negative experience reported by another customer regarding food contamination is a serious red flag that cannot be ignored. This incident indicates a potential risk to food safety and hygiene standards at the establishment.
Currently, there is no information available regarding any specific features that might distinguish Chopsticks House from other Chinese restaurants in the area, nor are there any mentions of promotional offers or specials. Potential customers would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their menu, prices, and any ongoing promotions.
In conclusion, Chopsticks House in Charleston, SC, offers a dine-in option for customers. While one reviewer expressed happiness about the reopening of the dine-in area, another customer reported a severe food safety issue involving contamination. This incident raises significant concerns about the restaurant's hygiene standards and food quality control. Potential customers should consider this feedback when deciding whether to patronize Chopsticks House. Given the limited and conflicting information, it would be prudent to exercise caution and perhaps seek more recent reviews or contact the restaurant directly with any concerns before placing an order or dining in.
Local residents considering Chopsticks House for their Chinese food needs should be aware of the drastically different experiences reported by the two available reviewers. The positive note about enjoying Chinese food in the dine-in setting is overshadowed by the serious allegation of food contamination. Until more reviews become available to provide a broader and more current perspective on the restaurant's standards, it is difficult to offer a definitive recommendation. Customers may want to proceed with caution and perhaps inquire about their food safety practices before dining in or ordering from Chopsticks House.
For those interested in learning more about Chopsticks House, they can contact them at (843) 965-5866 or +1 843-965-5866. It would be advisable to ask about their food preparation and hygiene protocols. The significant food safety concern raised in one of the reviews warrants careful consideration from potential patrons.

So happy they opened their dine in spot again. Chinese food just hits so much better when eaten on the spot.
I’ve gotten the spare ribs and pork fried rice and it was a roach in my food . I’m never buying anything from them again. A really bad experience I had today.. that refund didn’t matter !! For a restaurant you guys need to do better than this !!!!!
Chopsticks House is hands down the most amazing Chinese restaurant in the downtown Charleston area! Every dish I’ve tried has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and just hits the spot every time. Whether you're in the mood for something classic like General Tso’s Chicken or craving some crispy egg rolls, they nail it. What truly makes the experience even better is their delivery driver, Cui Lin. She always delivers with a warm smile and friendly energy—such a joy to see at my door! Her kindness and professionalism really go a long way and make the service feel personal. Trust me, you will not be disappointed by ordering from here. Chopsticks House is a hidden gem that deserves all the love.
Visited on a Thursday evening with 2 guests - they were doing some sort of indoor renovation and ordering took place outside / to-go. -Vegetable Stir Fry Noodles -Vegetable Spring Rolls Service wasn't necessarily friendly. Food was ready quickly - only gave us 1 fork for 2 people. Pricing was fairly typical for Chinese food (on the higher side but fairly large portions). Would recommend for a quick, easy Chinese take-out option.
So the delivery lady was demanding a tip after i paid for my food and i told her i didnt have it and she was trynna take it out the money i paid for with the food & as im eating it the fish is sliding out of the batter shrimp was bubbly and i was highly upset
