About Chopstick Inn

For our users in Singapore seeking information about Chinese restaurants, we are providing an overview of Chopstick Inn, located at 13836 Sibley Rd, Riverview, MI 48193, USA. Please be aware that this restaurant is situated in the United States, and the following information is derived from recent online reviews by customers in that area.

Based on the available reviews, there is no description of the dine-in environment at Chopstick Inn as the experiences shared are related to carry-out orders. Therefore, we cannot provide information regarding its ambiance or setting.

The primary service discussed in the reviews is their carry-out option. However, the feedback regarding the service is overwhelmingly negative. One customer reported a significant issue with their order, receiving chow mein that was described as "slimy and clear," made with lo mein noodles instead of the expected type, and "loaded with bean sprouts" despite specifically requesting none. This customer's attempt to have the order remade was met with refusal, with the restaurant claiming the order was placed incorrectly, leading to extreme dissatisfaction.

Another customer shared a similarly negative experience involving an online order error. They received the wrong dish and, upon contacting the restaurant, were told that the incorrect item was what they had ordered. Instead of rectifying their mistake, the restaurant insisted the customer pay again for the originally intended order. This resulted in the customer expressing their intention not to return due to the "worst customer service" experienced for an error made by the staff.

Regarding the features and food quality, one reviewer found their chicken fried rice to be "perfect." However, this positive aspect was overshadowed by the severely negative experience with the chow mein. The description of the chow mein as "gross" and resembling "baby puke" due to its slimy texture and excessive bean sprouts raises significant concerns about food quality and preparation. The second reviewer did not comment on the quality of the sweet and sour chicken they received but was understandably upset about the incorrect hot beef and onions order and the subsequent handling of the error.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The focus of the recent feedback is entirely on negative experiences with order accuracy and customer service. For users in the Riverview, MI area, it would be prudent to consider these recent and serious complaints before placing an order at Chopstick Inn. For our Singaporean users, this case illustrates the critical importance of order accuracy and responsive customer service in the restaurant industry.

I am furious with how I was treated. For a family dinner, we each ordered a carry out dish to bring to a pot luck. I ordered Chicken fried rice and chicken chow mein, BOTH with no peanuts and no bean sprouts. The fried rice was perfect, but the chow mein??? IT WAS GROSS! It was slimy and clear and made from lo mein noodles. And LOADED with bean sprouts. More sprouts than noodles. It looked like baby puke. I called to see if I could have the order remade, but the lady said I ordered wrong. Well, I have been eating there for as long as have lived in Riverview, but no more. And it is my mission to have that lady fired or this resturant put out of business.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for as long as a I can remember and it’s always been pretty alright but today I was appalled by how they handled their mistake. Me and my husband placed our order online and he went in to pick it up. When he got home and pulled out the contents of his bag there was his sweet and sour chicken and what should have been my hot beef and onions was instead breaded beef with sweet and sour sauce. He promptly called them to in inform them of their mistake and they insisted that’s what was ordered. They instead made me pay again for what I had initially ordered in the first place. Call in if you’re going to order. I probably won’t be going back here again for a long while, if at all.. Worst customer service I’ve ever received for an error made by the staff themselves. Money down the drain.. unnecessary food waste..

We have been going to Chopstick Inn for 40 years, since Joe was there, he was great. They switched the gravy on the Almond Chicken a couple years ago and thankfully changed it back. There food has always been good, there has always been enough and we will continue to go there. I have raised all 3 of my children and 6 grandchildren on Chopstick Inn meals and will continue to do so. I am really glad you changed the gravy back, it definitely adds to the flavor.

The food is overall good, on the browner side and savory, but the setup to eat inside could be better. They gave me the food I ordered in a Styrofoam, that's only ok if you're in a take out oriented situation but maybe I would have wanted tea or soup to sit in like other places do it. This LOOKS like the kind of place that would. Parking is bad, I had to walk from the plaza.. would I be back? Maybe but not for a bit probably. I prefer the other ones nearby.

3rd worst Asian food I have ever had. MSG and vinegar are the not so secret ingredients. My order had to be messed up during the cooking examples: General Tao Chicken had no broccoli hardly any sauce and sauce was mostly vinegar which it shouldn't be, hot and sour soup was neither, egg rolls I paid extra for were old and dry. Was a bad experience
