About Chopstick Brothers

Welcome to Chopstick Brothers, a Chinese restaurant located at 3135 Commercial St SE in Salem, Oregon. As a local establishment in the Chinese restaurant category, Chopstick Brothers aims to offer a diverse menu of Asian cuisine to the Salem community, including not only traditional Chinese dishes but also items like Pho. However, recent customer reviews present a starkly divided picture of the dining experience here, with some praising it highly while others express significant dissatisfaction.

One enthusiastic reviewer, who surprisingly admits to not being a big fan of Chinese food in general due to unfamiliar menu items and past negative experiences, had an overwhelmingly positive encounter at Chopstick Brothers. This customer was particularly impressed with the General Tso's chicken, describing it as incredibly crispy, juicy, and flavorful, served piping hot with perfectly cooked rice. The reviewer even humorously emphasized the importance of well-prepared rice, commending Chopstick Brothers for their understanding of this culinary art. This positive experience extended to the Pho, which was described as "super delicious" to the point of being irresistibly good. The service was also lauded for being immediate, polite, and exceptionally fast, with the food arriving in under five minutes. Despite initial concerns about the speed, the reviewer found the quality to be outstanding, attributing it to the chefs' exceptional skills. The atmosphere was described as clean and well-put-together with a great ambiance, leading to a high recommendation of Chopstick Brothers.

In stark contrast, another customer who visited Chopstick Brothers after hearing good things had a profoundly negative experience, ultimately concluding that the positive feedback they had received must have come from people unfamiliar with good Chinese food. This reviewer reported significant issues with the quality and preparation of multiple dishes. The Mongolian style shrimp was criticized for being predominantly vegetables (75%) with a small portion of shrimp (25%), which lacked a sear and flavor. The fried rice was described as bland, essentially slightly yellow-tinted white rice with no discernible taste. The spicy beef was deemed to be cold deli meat of poor quality, not worth the price. Furthermore, breaded chicken dishes like sweet and sour and General Tso chicken were reported to consist of very small, tough pieces with more breading than meat. This customer, who spent a considerable amount on a meal for their company, stated that most of the food was thrown away and that they believed better Asian food could be found in a grocery store's frozen section for a fraction of the cost. This overwhelmingly negative experience led to a strong sense of disappointment and a clear lack of recommendation for Chopstick Brothers.

The drastically different opinions presented in these two reviews make it challenging to form a definitive objective assessment of Chopstick Brothers. One customer experienced exceptional food, service, and atmosphere, while the other found the food to be of very poor quality and not worth the price. This inconsistency suggests that the dining experience at Chopstick Brothers may vary significantly.

Given the available information, it is not possible to definitively describe the typical environment, services, or features of Chopstick Brothers. The positive review highlights a clean and well-put-together atmosphere with fast and polite service, while the negative review focuses solely on the poor quality of the food. There is no mention of specific features such as dine-in options, takeout, or delivery, nor is there any information about promotional offers.

Potential customers should be aware of these highly contrasting experiences when considering Chopstick Brothers. The enthusiastic praise from one reviewer, particularly regarding the General Tso's chicken and Pho, might be enticing. However, the severe criticism from another regarding multiple dishes and overall value cannot be ignored. It is possible that the quality of food and service may be inconsistent, or that different dishes on the menu vary significantly in their quality and preparation.

Without further information or more consistent reviews, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive and objective introduction to Chopstick Brothers. The available feedback suggests a potential for both exceptional and very poor dining experiences. Local users may want to consider these contrasting viewpoints and perhaps try the restaurant themselves to form their own opinion, or seek out more consistent reviews from other sources before making a decision.

In conclusion, Chopstick Brothers in Salem, Oregon, is a Chinese restaurant that has received very different evaluations from recent customers. While one reviewer raved about the General Tso's chicken, Pho, service, and atmosphere, another reported extremely poor quality food across multiple dishes and a significant waste of money. Potential diners should approach Chopstick Brothers with caution, acknowledging the possibility of inconsistent experiences based on the available feedback. Further investigation or personal experience may be necessary to determine if this restaurant meets individual expectations for Chinese and Asian cuisine in Salem.

First off, I realize this could be sacrilege or heresy to some, but I've never been a big fan of Chinese food. I find myself looking at the menu and wondering wtf 99% of the food is. If I don't know what it is, Do I really want to take that risk? Thereafter I once again find myself contemplating life as I'm stuck on a toilet for hours wondering how I went so wrong in life to end up at that exact moment. Oh right...Chinese food. Everyone I know generally has the same issue. Can't imagine a household of 10 people sharing one Toilet after eating Chinese food....That's a horrifying thought. Chopstick Brothers however, Totally different story. Other Chinese restuarants, Please take note. General Tsos chicken: OMG!!!! Fn mind BLOWN! So damn crispy, So juicy, literally explodes with flavor as you bite into it. It comes out piping hot with a side of perfectly cooked rice. And yes I have to notate the rice. Many believe "Oh it's rice, how can you screw that up." Don't mind those people, They are simpletons, with no idea of the complexity that goes into creating the PERFECT RICE!!!! I can tell that this fine establishment understands the meaning and depth of the secret techniques behind Perfect rice. Pho: Mmmmmmmm super delicious!!!! You take one sip, Next thing you know the whole bowls empty and your reaching across the table strangling your best friend asking WHO DRANK ALL MY SOUP!!!!!! Later after losing your best friend....You realize, It was you who drank all the delicious soup. but you were lost in bliss, enjoying the perfectly balanced spices and aroma, So how could you possibly have known? It's basically your best friends fault. He should have just bought you another bowl of Pho. That's what best friends are for, right? Service: We were seated immediately and the server was very polite and helpful. After ordering im pretty sure we got our food in world record time. It was literally less than 5 minutes. Most places if I got it at that speed, I'd be a little concerned, But my fears were alleviated after trying it. It was simply just them being hyper super supreme chefs with unheard of and unparalleled speeds, serving God tier dishes at a local restuarant near you!!!! Atmosphere: Clean, Very well put together place, with a great ambiance. I highly recommened this place.

Went to chopstick brothers after hearing good things and quickly realized I'd heard from folks who've never had good Chinese food. My stomach was moaning and groaning after eating this stuff. Ordered the Mongolian style shrimp, it was 75% vegetables and 25% shrimp. Shrimp had no sear and tasted like nothing. Ordered fried rice, it was slightly yellow tinted white rice with zero flavor. Ordered spicy beef, it was cold deli meat that I wouldn't have been willing to pay 4 dollars for let alone 10. Any breaded chicken (sweet and sour, general tso, etc) that was ordered was very small tough pieces with what seemed like more breading than meat. We got 80 dollars worth of food for our company to have a nice meal for working hard on the holidays, and instead threw most of it away. I could geniunely find better Asian food in a Trader Joe's frozen section for a quarter of the price.

Delicious lunch from appetizers to pho. Warm environment which was nice for a quick visit. I am tired of cafeteria feel from so many such eateries. Everything was fresh tasting, good portions, reasonable prices. Four stars because I want you to go, not five because hey, I just don't give it up like that.

Came here for the end of lunch. Prices are excellent in my opinion for the amount of food you get and the quality. The food came out very fast and tasted very fresh except for my crab puff, which was actually cold on the inside. General Tsao chicken is what I always order from Chinese food places, and I must say that this is the best flavor I've had so far. I asked to have it extra spicy, which they did, but the spice was still underwhelming. The flavor though was excellent! The egg fried rice was also very good, light and fluffy. The place is very clean and still very new looking. I gave 4 stars on service because it took a while for our server to get around to us, and there were only a few tables seated. We were also forgot about when we asked for extra sweet and sour sauce. Other than those few nit picks, I can't complain. I will definitely come back to try some other food items. I would recommend this place to everyone to try.
