Customer reviews for Chop Chop Restaurant present a somewhat contrasting view of the dining experience. One recent customer expressed significant dissatisfaction, stating it was the "worst chineese food ever." This reviewer cited issues with excessive saltiness in multiple dishes, including chicken chow mein, chicken stir fry, and teriyaki chicken. They also mentioned an overabundance of vegetables, describing "almost a plate full of vegetables," and found the prices to be "way to expensive," leading to a firm decision to "never will i go back." This feedback highlights potential inconsistencies in food preparation and pricing perceptions.

In stark contrast, another customer who visited during their lunch break shared a highly positive experience. This first-time visitor, who was actively seeking a good Chinese food spot, ordered the Mongolian beef and fried rice and described it as "so good! The best I've ever had!" They also noted the generous portion sizes, mentioning that they "only ate half of the portion I was given and ate the rest for dinner that night." Impressed by their initial experience, they returned with their wife two days later, who "absolutely loved it also!" This positive feedback underscores the potential for Chop Chop Restaurant to deliver excellent dishes that resonate strongly with some customers.

A significant piece of information from the positive review is the concerning news that Chop Chop Restaurant is "going to be closing the doors in less than 2 months." This development is described as "so sad" by the reviewer, who lamented the impending loss of a place with "extremely decent" prices and "abundantly large" portions. The reviewer also praised the potential for "great service to the community" and referred to Chop Chop Restaurant as "a gem that is definitely going to be missed." This information suggests that while some customers have had negative experiences, others highly value the restaurant for its food quality, portion sizes, and prices, and are saddened by its upcoming closure.

Regarding the environment and ambiance of Chop Chop Restaurant, neither of the provided reviews offers any specific details. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an objective description of the restaurant's decor, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere based solely on this information. Similarly, there is no mention of specific services beyond the preparation and serving of food, such as delivery options or the general attentiveness of the staff (with the exception of the negative comment about the food and price).

Furthermore, the provided text does not contain any information about current or upcoming promotional offers or special deals at Chop Chop Restaurant. Given the reported impending closure, it is unclear whether any such promotions would be in place. In summary, Chop Chop Restaurant in Antioch, CA, appears to offer a somewhat inconsistent dining experience based on the provided customer reviews. While one customer reported significant dissatisfaction with the food's saltiness, excessive vegetables, and high prices, another customer had a highly positive experience, particularly with the Mongolian beef and fried rice, and praised the generous portions and decent prices. A critical piece of information is the reported upcoming closure of the restaurant in less than two months, which has been met with sadness by at least one satisfied customer who viewed it as a "gem" providing good food and service to the community. Information regarding the restaurant's environment, additional services, and any promotional offers is not available in the provided reviews. Local users may wish to consider the contrasting feedback and the impending closure when deciding whether to visit Chop Chop Restaurant in its remaining time of operation.

I came here on my lunch break with a coworker last week. I didn't even know the place existed and I feel really bad because I'm always looking for a good Chinese food spot. I ordered the Mongolian beef and fried rice. It was so good! The best I've ever had! I only ate half of the portion I was given and ate the rest for dinner that night. It was so good that I brought my wife back two days later and she absolutely loved it also! It's so sad that they're going to be closing the doors in less than 2 months. The prices are extremely decent and the portions are abundantly large. I wish they could continue to carry on the tradition of providing great service to the community. This is a gem that is definitely going to be missed.

Update: The place is closing for good in three months. My family were so sad to hear about it from the owner as this place is our favorite Chinese go to in the area. We are going to support the restaurant until it close. If you love them, I suggest to do the same thing. I'm sure we are going to miss their food. Past: Some people are complaining about their fried rice but for me its one of my favorite (beef). The smoky flavor gives me the nostalgic vibe plus its loaded with beef. They give big portion so I think the price hike is still worth it.

Our favorite place in Oakley shut down so I thought I would give this a shot. I was pleasantly surprised, first off the prices are as cheap as you are going to find for pretty much any food in the area and the portions are absurd……like you will have lunch, dinner and lunch again. We had the Mongolian beef and the eggplant beef with hot and sour soup. All were great. Now listen, the ambience is lacking a bit and it is in old Antioch but honestly if you picked up and set this place in China Town, SF….quadrupled the price, cut the portions down by 3/4 you would have Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsey raving and hosting an annoying cooking show from their kitchen.
