We live in the area, but are a bit out of the delivery range. My mother doesn't eat pork and was interested, so she called this restaurant a few times in the past. The man who answered was always friendly, but confirmed that they couldn't deliver to our address, so after a doctor's appointment one day, we decided to stop by for a take out order. The place looked nice and was pretty empty outside of two diners and employees, but the vibe was off as soon as we walked in. There was no greeting, and the woman at the counter looked like she couldn't be bothered - almost like she was upset and/or distracted. I placed my order and waited while my mother sat at a table. A man, who I assumed was the chef brought our order out and greeted us with a smile, but there was another man walking around that started looking at my order and over my shoulder while I was talking to my mother. Super uncomfortable. That being said, the current political climate is uneasy, and this restaurant represents two communities that have had an uptick in being targeted. I can understand being a tad nervous with new customers, but I would hate to think that we were given the sentiment we were due to our race. The food is Glatt Kosher so expect to pay a bit more than usual. Overall, we were satisfied with the food, but I spent over $100 on food for three people, and was polite, so I was disappointed in the lack of customer service. We won't be returning.
The food was horrible. I had the General Tso chicken and the chicken tasted old. The sauce was okay. The fried rice was tasteless and was only saved by mixing it with the sauce. In the end I was out close to $30 (exorbitant price) for a horrible meal!
After so much fake promotions on Facebook drove half hours or more from upper East side ordered three Small dishes from Menu but charged for large asking for copy of take out menus there was none. Only a sit down menu . On line menus posted is not what you get charged for. Asked the girl sitting playing w her phone if chopstick and it paper plates are in package food she nodded . Could care more for her gesture. As far as the taste of food the chicken w / mixed vegetables and chicken with nuts were tasteless. Sesame chicken so sugary unbearable . Rice Under cook and very little. Still prefer the Chinese on 34 th street in NYC . Would I go back most probably no .
Absolutely loved it! Best kosher Chinese food hands down. The Hot and Sour soup was amazing. I suggest you to try something other than the chicken/beef w/ broccoli. Just because there are things on that menu exploding with flavor. Next time I'm around I'm gonna try the Singapore style Mei Fun. These guys steam their veggies as oppose to boiling and making a soggy mess. Awesome food. Can't wait to come back
Really good sesame chicken. Stay away from Szechuan beef dish. Meat has no flavor and they put like no beef, it’s all veggies. $17 for veggies? Seems kinda steep. The fried rice is below average. Like they gotta step it up big time.
