According to customer reviews, ChongQing House offers food that is generally fresh and tasty. One visitor enjoyed the Chicken in Garlic Sauce, Shrimp with Vegetables, and A-Choy. While some of the wait staff had limited English proficiency, others were able to assist with ordering, and the people working there were described as nice.
However, another customer had a mixed experience. They enjoyed specific dishes like the pigs snout, Dan Dan noodles, and jelly dessert. However, an order of pork kidney was deemed too smelly and had to be returned. While the restaurant accommodated the request, the customer felt they seemed bothered. The replacement dish, orange chicken, was not to their liking. This reviewer also noted that the inside of the restaurant felt a bit humid and that the customer service was "barely there," observing staff eating at the same time as customers.
Overall, ChongQing House seems to offer some flavorful Sichuan dishes that are worth trying. However, potential customers should be aware of the varying levels of English proficiency among the staff and the mixed feedback regarding the ambiance and customer service.

Customer Reviews
We visited for dinner and ordered Chicken in Garlic Sauce, a Shrimp with Vegetables dish, and A-Choy. The food was fresh and tasty. Some of the wait staff didn't speak English well, but others do so we were still able to order. Nice people here. Worth checking out!
We enjoyed the pigs snout, Dan Dan noodle and jelly dessert, but kidney we ordered was so smelly that I had to send it back. I have had pork kidney before and understand it has a certain smell but not to this extent. They seem bothered by my request but accommodated anyways which I appreciated. It was subbed by orange chicken, not to our liking unfortunately. Inside the restaurant feels a bit humid and the customer service was barely there, they were eating the same time we were eating there.
Flavorful Sichuan style Chinese food. Quantity was appropriate for the price, although the beef dish was the most expensive and for this I would've expected more. Got: Thinly sliced beef with pepper, pork with bamboo shoots, combination fried rice, and fish with salt & pepper. Also got fried rice cake with brown sugar syrup. My favorite dish was the fish with salt & pepper, it was perfectly crispy and seasoned. The pork and beef were too salty for my liking, and are best eaten with white rice which I unfortunately didn't have since it cost $1 for and I didn't want to spend extra money on rice if I was gonna have fried rice. Fried Rice was a huge quantity but it correlated well with the asking price so I can't be upset with it but I did wish for a little more meat, but overall flavor was fine. The service was good and the workers were attentive. The fried rice cake wasn't as great as I was expecting. I would've wanted a crisper exterior with the mushy, soft interior, inside the outside was still pretty soft. The brown sugar syrup was too sweet for my liking and I wanted to have it watered down. Overall, a nice place to try.
Food: Well I have combination fried rice. Wasn’t what I expected. No season whatsoever. Beef dumplings were on good with the chili sauce. I wouldn’t go back. Service was ok could of been better Atmosphere was kool nice sitting
Can't comment on service or atmosphere, carry out order. But if someone you know is allergic to shellfish, do not even order the chicken fried rice. This went from opening the food, first bite, to throwing up very quickly and finding multiple shrimp in the chicken fried rice shortly thereafter. Can not recommend. Food allergies can be a dangerous game to play. I picked up the order less than 10 minutes ago. Normally I'd take my time to review properly but this is not acceptable. At this point I would assume they have a chicken and shrimp combination that they tried to pull the shrimp out of. I do not know what happened, but I personally will never return.
