About CHONG GARDEN

Welcome to CHONG GARDEN, a Chinese restaurant situated at 6445 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40291, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, CHONG GARDEN offers a range of Chinese cuisine, primarily focusing on takeaway services based on customer feedback. You can contact CHONG GARDEN at (502) 231-0393 or via their mobile number at +1 502-231-0393 for placing orders or inquiries.

Recent customer reviews present a somewhat divided perspective on CHONG GARDEN. One customer shared a highly positive experience, stating that it is "some of the best Chinese takeaway restaurants I've had." This reviewer specifically praised the Orange Chicken, noting that it is made with real orange peel and tastes fresh rather than frozen. They also found the rice to be consistently tasty. Additionally, this customer highlighted a promotional aspect, mentioning that a free soda is included with their order. The portion size was also deemed generous, sufficient for two meals, and the overall price was considered reasonable. This positive experience led the customer to express their intention to order from CHONG GARDEN regularly.

Conversely, another customer reported a significantly negative experience. This reviewer found the food to be "extra oily." They ordered the Beef and Broccoli, and the beef was described as inedible, being chewy and rubbery, and not resembling real beef. This negative experience led to a strong caution against eating at the restaurant. Furthermore, this customer was highly critical of the service, describing it as "crap." They specifically mentioned the impatience of the person who took their order over the phone, indicating a poor customer service experience overall. Consequently, this reviewer stated that they would not order from CHONG GARDEN again.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is evident that customer experiences at CHONG GARDEN can vary significantly. The positive review highlights the freshness and quality of the Orange Chicken, the tasty rice, the generous portions, the inclusion of a free soda, and the reasonable pricing, suggesting that for some customers, CHONG GARDEN offers a satisfying takeaway experience.

However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the quality of other dishes, specifically the Beef and Broccoli, which was deemed inedible due to the poor quality of the beef and the excessive oiliness. The criticism of the service, particularly the impatience displayed during phone ordering, also points to potential issues with customer relations.

Given this mixed feedback, local users considering CHONG GARDEN might want to weigh these experiences. If Orange Chicken is a preferred dish, the positive review suggests it could be a worthwhile option, especially considering the fresh ingredients and the added value of a free soda and a large portion. However, those considering other menu items, such as Beef and Broccoli, should be aware of the negative feedback regarding the quality and preparation of these dishes.

The positive reviewer's mention of CHONG GARDEN being primarily a "takeaway restaurant" suggests that its main service is geared towards off-premises dining. The lack of any description of the interior or ambiance in either review implies that the environment for dine-in customers (if available) is not a significant aspect highlighted by these experiences. Therefore, local users are likely considering CHONG GARDEN primarily for its takeaway options.

The feature of including a free soda with orders, as mentioned by one customer, could be considered a minor promotional aspect that adds value to the meal. However, there is no information about other potential promotions, such as discounts on specific dishes, loyalty programs, or special offers for first-time customers. To obtain a comprehensive understanding of any current promotions, it would be advisable to contact CHONG GARDEN directly.

In conclusion, CHONG GARDEN in Louisville, KY, presents a mixed bag of customer experiences. While some patrons have found their takeaway food to be of high quality, with fresh ingredients and generous portions, others have reported significant issues with food quality, such as excessive oiliness and inedible ingredients, as well as poor customer service. Local users should consider these contrasting viewpoints when deciding whether to order from CHONG GARDEN. If specific dishes like the Orange Chicken are of interest, the positive feedback is encouraging. However, awareness of the negative experiences with other dishes and the service is also crucial. As there is limited information about the environment (likely focused on takeaway operations) and a single mention of a free soda as a potential promotion, further inquiry might be necessary to get a complete picture of what CHONG GARDEN offers.

I don't usually leave reviews but I just want to say this is some of the best Chinese takeaway restaurants I've had. The orange chicken is made with real orange peel and tastes fresh not frozen and the rice is always tasty as well. They give a free soda with your order and the portion is great enough for 2 meals. I'll be ordering from here from now on. Not too expensive either.

The food was extra oily. I ordered Beef and Broccoli and the meat wasn't edible. The beef was chewy and rubbery. It didn't seem like real beef. Please be cautious when eating at this restaurant. The service is crap!!!! The man that took my order over the phone was so impatient. It was bad service all around. I wouldn't order from them again.

I love the ease of ordering it online. You have the option to pay at the store. The food is always ready by the time I get there. It is a large portion of food. Usually 2 meals for me. If you get a combination meal you get an entree, fried rice, an eggroll, and a canned drink all for the one price. It is definitely a take out place. No seating to speak of really. The food is very good. My favorite is the chicken with mixed vegetable combo.

Absolutely delicious. Steamed dumplings were the best very tender and flavorful. Beef and vegetables had a delicious sauce that adhered to the tender meat and veggies. Will definitely order again
