About Chong chin 2

Welcome to Chong chin 2, a Chinese restaurant located at 11118 Renaissance Dr, Davidson, NC 28036, USA. As a local Chinese Restaurant, Chong chin 2 offers a range of Chinese dishes for the Davidson community, primarily focusing on takeout service. Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the area, Chong chin 2 aims to provide a convenient option for those seeking Chinese cuisine.

Based on available online feedback, the environment of Chong chin 2 appears to be a point of contention among customers. One reviewer described the restaurant as "tiny with beat up booths, not a place you’d want to sit and eat." This suggests that the ambiance may not be conducive to a comfortable dine-in experience. Therefore, it seems that Chong chin 2 primarily caters to customers seeking takeout options to enjoy their meals elsewhere.

The primary service offered by Chong chin 2 is takeout. Customers can place orders by calling (704) 439-4780 or +1 704-439-4780. This allows local residents to conveniently enjoy Chinese food from the comfort of their homes. While dine-in service might be available, the limited and somewhat negative description of the seating area suggests that takeout is the more popular and recommended option.

Customer reviews present a mixed picture regarding the features of Chong chin 2. On the positive side, one customer enthusiastically stated that it is "easily among my favorite Chinese restaurants in the country." This highlights the potential for highly satisfying dishes that can appeal to even discerning palates. This positive reviewer also specifically praised the counter service, describing the woman as "so sweet," indicating a friendly and welcoming interaction when placing or picking up orders.

Furthermore, this positive review offered specific dish recommendations, suggesting that certain items on the menu are particularly noteworthy. The recommended dishes include "Saa Shaa shrimp," "chicken broccoli on lo mein," and "the boneless pork spare rib on fried rice." These recommendations can be valuable for first-time customers looking for popular and well-regarded options.

However, not all feedback is positive. One customer expressed significant dissatisfaction, stating, "Not a place we will visit again. Everything was over-breaded and over-fried, not very flavorful. Some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had." This contrasting review indicates a potential inconsistency in food preparation or a difference in individual preferences. The criticism of being "over-breaded and over-fried" and "not very flavorful" are important points for potential customers to consider.

Given the limited information available online, there is no specific mention of current promotional offers or specials at Chong chin 2. Customers interested in any potential promotions are advised to inquire directly when placing their orders via phone.

In conclusion, Chong chin 2 in Davidson, NC, is a Chinese restaurant primarily offering takeout service. Customer reviews are varied, with some praising the delicious food and sweet counter service, recommending specific dishes like Saa Shaa shrimp and chicken broccoli on lo mein. Conversely, other reviews express disappointment with the food quality, describing it as over-breaded, over-fried, and lacking flavor. The restaurant environment is described as small and worn, suggesting that takeout is the preferred way to enjoy their offerings. Potential customers are encouraged to consider these differing opinions and perhaps try Chong chin 2 for themselves to form their own judgment, especially if looking for convenient takeout Chinese food in the Davidson area.

Easily among my favorite Chinese restaurants in the country. The woman the counter is so sweet, and the food is consistently delicious! I recommend Saa Shaa shrimp, chicken broccoli on lo mein, and the boneless pork spare rib on fried rice!

This has been my go-to Chinese Restaurant since I have moved to NC and honestly this has got to be the best place ever! The food is great and the employees/family are wonderful. I have also eaten inside and the environment was comfortable and friendly and I have taken a bunch of friends here after performances and the employees/family were so nice! The If you're looking for a Chinese Restaurant this one is top!

This is the MOST DISGUSTING restaurant I've seen in a long time!! It is EXTREMELY dirty!! The booth tables have duct tape all over them, the seats are old and they look like they're covered in dirty, old curtains that are 'almost' tucked into the booth seats. The walls, floors, and basically every inch of this place looks like it has NEVER been cleaned!! The food is equally horrible!! The crab rangoon, sesame chicken, AND eggroll were ALL overcooked and tasted burnt!! The sesame chicken was also very tough and chewy!! How this restaurant hasn't been shut down by the health department yet, I have no idea!! I wish I could upload pictures!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! 🤢

Got take out for the first time from here. Unfortunately the food is not great. I have had worse but the chicken in the noodle dish was rubbery, I ended up picking it all out. The fried chicken in the Sweet and Sour chicken was so oily it hurt my stomach after two pieces. Probably won’t order from here again. Prices are also high for the low quality food.
