About Ching Tao Restaurant

Ching Tao Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 268 W Main Rd in Middletown, Rhode Island (RI 02842), USA. As a part of the local Chinese Restaurant category, Ching Tao Restaurant offers Chinese cuisine for sale, likely providing services such as takeout and potentially dine-in options, given the mention of ample parking which often suggests a physical location for customers. The provided contact information includes a local phone number, (401) 849-2112, and a mobile phone number, +1 401-849-2112, which customers can use to place orders or make inquiries.

The available customer reviews for Ching Tao Restaurant present a somewhat mixed perspective, with positive feedback in some areas contrasted by significant negative comments in others. This suggests that the experience at Ching Tao Restaurant can vary depending on individual preferences and the specific dishes ordered.

One positive review highlighted the vegetarian food options, describing them as "tasty, hot and good value for money." The customer also noted that the "Portions were good size" and appreciated the "Very friendly staff" and the availability of "ample parking." Additionally, they mentioned the helpful tip to "Just let them know spicy level," indicating that the restaurant is accommodating to customers' spice preferences. This review suggests that Ching Tao Restaurant can provide a satisfying experience, particularly for those seeking vegetarian dishes, offering good value, friendly service, and convenience in terms of parking.

In contrast, another customer who ordered takeout had a significantly negative experience, describing the food as "some of the most tasteless food I've ever had." This strong criticism indicates a potential inconsistency in the flavor profiles of their dishes or perhaps a negative experience with specific items ordered for takeout. The reviewer expressed relief at not spending much money due to the "unappetizing" nature of the meal. Furthermore, they specifically criticized the crab rangoons, stating, "Also I'm pretty sure they dumped a whole pound of sugar into the crab ragoons," suggesting an imbalance in flavor with excessive sweetness.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive description of the environment of Ching Tao Restaurant. The mention of "ample parking" implies a physical location that customers can drive to, which could suggest a dine-in facility in addition to takeout services. However, neither review provides any details about the interior ambiance, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Therefore, local users have no direct insight into the dining environment based on the available feedback.

In terms of services, Ching Tao Restaurant clearly offers takeout, as mentioned by one of the reviewers. The positive review, with its mention of friendly staff and ample parking, suggests the possibility of dine-in service as well, as these are typically more relevant for on-site dining. The willingness of the staff to adjust the spice level of dishes, as noted by one customer, indicates a degree of customer service orientation and customization.

As for features, the positive review highlights tasty and good value vegetarian options with good portion sizes. The friendly staff and ample parking could also be considered positive features contributing to a pleasant experience, especially for those dining in or picking up orders. However, the negative review points to a significant potential drawback: the possibility of tasteless food in some dishes and an imbalance of flavors, such as excessive sweetness in the crab rangoons. The ability to customize spice levels might be a feature for those who enjoy spicy food.

There is no information available in the provided text regarding any promotional offers, discounts, or special deals at Ching Tao Restaurant. The customer reviews focus solely on their experiences with the food and service.

In conclusion, Ching Tao Restaurant in Middletown, RI, appears to be an establishment with both strengths and weaknesses based on the limited customer feedback. On the positive side, it seems to offer tasty and good value vegetarian options with generous portions, complemented by friendly staff and ample parking, potentially indicating a comfortable environment for dine-in customers. The willingness to adjust spice levels is also a plus. However, there are significant concerns raised by a customer who found the takeout food to be tasteless and the crab rangoons excessively sweet, suggesting potential inconsistencies in food quality or flavor profiles across different dishes or service types.

For local users in Middletown, RI, considering Ching Tao Restaurant, it would be wise to weigh these contrasting experiences. If you are primarily interested in vegetarian Chinese cuisine and value friendly service and convenient parking, Ching Tao might be worth trying, especially if you communicate your spice preferences. However, if you are ordering other dishes for takeout, be aware of the potential for blandness or flavor imbalances, as reported by one customer. Given the limited number of reviews, it might be beneficial to seek additional feedback from other local diners to get a more comprehensive understanding of the overall quality and consistency of Ching Tao Restaurant.

Ordered take out and this is some of the most tasteless food I've ever had. I'm so glad that I didn't spend much money because it was unappetizing. Also I'm pretty sure they dumped a whole pound of sugar into the crab ragoons.

Let me start by saying this is absolutely some of the best Chinese food you will ever eat. But the highlight of this review is how easy it was to work with Wanda on catering food for 35 people for a work event. Absolutely flawless delivery of goods at a great cost and the team loved it.

The restaurant had a run-down appearance. I opted for a basic meal of pork fried rice and chicken wings, but it was incredibly disappointing. I ended up throwing the entire dish away.
