About Chinese Lucky Dragon
Located at 13551 SE 145th Ave in Happy Valley, Oregon, Chinese Lucky Dragon operates within the Chinese Restaurant category and appears to function as a food truck, based on a customer's surprising remark about its ability to surpass traditional restaurant quality. This establishment offers a range of Chinese dishes, garnering both positive and mixed reviews regarding specific menu items and overall dining experience. For local users in Happy Valley, Chinese Lucky Dragon presents a convenient option for those seeking fast and potentially high-quality Chinese food.
One customer shared their experience ordering orange chicken with fried rice and sesame balls for their daughter. They found the owner to be "super nice," which contributes positively to the overall customer interaction. The orange chicken itself was described as "tasty and fresh," with a notable characteristic of tasting like it was made with fresh oranges, suggesting a focus on using quality ingredients. The fried rice was also deemed tasty by this reviewer, although it was noted to lack vegetables. The sesame balls, however, received a less favorable review, being described as the "saddest" ever had – cute and tiny but not cooked properly. Despite this issue with the sesame balls, the reviewer indicated a willingness to try Chinese Lucky Dragon again, suggesting that the positive aspects of other dishes and the service were compelling enough for a second visit, with the caveat of avoiding the sesame balls.
Another customer had an overwhelmingly positive experience, proclaiming Chinese Lucky Dragon as the "Best & Freshest Chinese Food I've EVER Had." This enthusiastic review highlighted several dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp with steamed rice, pork fried potstickers, and a side of crab puffs. The reviewer expressed complete satisfaction with every item, emphasizing the exceptional flavor and quality of the food. They were particularly surprised that a food truck could not only match but exceed the quality of traditional restaurant food. This strongly suggests that Chinese Lucky Dragon prioritizes the freshness and taste of its ingredients and preparations.
The cashier also received praise from this reviewer for being polite and informative. The cashier's knowledge about the ingredients, specifically mentioning that the potstickers contained pork and the crab puffs were made with imitation crab (a benefit for a customer with a crab allergy), demonstrates transparency and helpfulness. The speed of service was also remarkable, with the food being ready before the customer had finished looking at other food trucks in the area. This efficiency is a significant advantage for a food truck setting, catering to those looking for a quick yet high-quality meal. The reviewer was so impressed that they wished they could give a 10-star rating and expressed a definite intention to return.

The services offered include order taking and food preparation, with an emphasis on speed and efficiency, as noted by one reviewer. The friendly interaction with the owner and cashier suggests a customer-oriented approach to service. The willingness of the staff to provide information about ingredients is also a notable service feature.
Key features of Chinese Lucky Dragon appear to be the freshness and taste of their food, particularly highlighted in the positive review. The orange chicken made with fresh oranges and the high-quality honey walnut shrimp are standout examples. The speed of service is also a significant feature, catering to those who need a quick meal. The transparency regarding ingredients, such as the imitation crab in the crab puffs, is another commendable feature.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews. As a food truck, Chinese Lucky Dragon might rely more on word-of-mouth and repeat customers. Local users might discover any specials or promotions by visiting the truck or inquiring via phone.
In conclusion, Chinese Lucky Dragon in Happy Valley, Oregon, offers a unique Chinese food experience from a food truck setting. Customers have praised the freshness and taste of dishes like orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp, as well as the fast and friendly service. While one reviewer had a mixed experience with the sesame balls and a lack of vegetables in the fried rice, the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the quality of other dishes suggests that Chinese Lucky Dragon is worth trying for local users seeking a delicious and quick Chinese meal. The transparency about ingredients and the welcoming demeanor of the owner and cashier further enhance its appeal.

Customer Reviews
We got orange chicken for my daughter, with fried rice and some sesame balls. The owner is super nice. I thought the orange chicken was tasty and fresh... Tasted like it was made with fresh oranges. The fried rice was tasty, but lacked veggies! The sesame balls were the saddest I'd ever had... They were cute and tiny, but not quite cooked properly. So, I think we'd try them again, but would skip the sesame balls. Food was very hot and was served very fast.
Best & Freshest Chinese Food I've EVER Had. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp with steamed rice, pork fried potstickers and a side of crab puffs. I wasn't disappointed with a single item. Quite the contrary, I was spectacularly amazed by the flavor and quality of the food. I did not expect a food truck to not only match, but surpass restaurant quality food. The cashier was polite and informative, she knew the meat used in the potstickers is pork and that the crab puffs were imitation crab (which benefits me, as I'm allergic to crab, but love the taste)! The food was ready before I finished rounding the other trucks, to see what else was offered in this area. Would recommend. Would give 10 ⭐'s if I could. Will most definitely be back again!
Fried rice was great! Cashew chicken was awful. Basically $18 thrown in the garbage. There were maybe 7 tiny pieces of chicken and then possibly an entire chopped up onion. A few cashews scattered in and no sauce or anything to add flavor. Not sure if the sauce was forgotten?
Fried shrimp and fried rice definitely my favorite here in lucky dragon. My perfect pickup spot to head to the mountain
I got orange chicken and fried rice, what I didn't know was my fried rice was nothing like the menu. Instead it was rice drizzled in sauce with a bit of tiny (and I mean tiny) pieces of egg...no veggies, really disappointed with that. The orange chicken smelt great and I was happy until I ate a few and realized it was bland and a bit tougher than expected, I also ended up feeling sick afterwards. I will say that the lady working was nice and straightforward, and cooked really fast too. Overall good service but never ordering that again.
