About Chinese Kitchen

Welcome to Chinese Kitchen, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 982 Bethel St in Clover, South Carolina (29710), USA. Operating within the Chinese Restaurant category, Chinese Kitchen focuses on providing fresh and flavorful Chinese cuisine exclusively through takeout service. You can reach them at (803) 222-8888 or their mobile number +1 803-222-8888 to place your order.

As a Chinese Restaurant specializing in carry-out, Chinese Kitchen caters to individuals and families in the Clover area looking for quality Chinese food to enjoy at home or elsewhere. Based on recent customer reviews, this establishment has garnered a reputation for the freshness of its food and the generous portion sizes offered. For those in the local area who may have limited options for Chinese cuisine or are seeking a reliable alternative, Chinese Kitchen appears to be a noteworthy choice.

One of the standout features of Chinese Kitchen, according to multiple reviewers, is the exceptional quality of their fried rice. One customer even declared it "AMAZING—hands down the best I’ve ever had!" This strong endorsement suggests that their fried rice is a must-try item and a significant draw for many patrons. The positive feedback extends to the freshness of the food in general, with one reviewer noting that the food on both their visits within a two-week period had been consistently fresh.

In addition to the quality, the portion sizes at Chinese Kitchen are consistently described as great. This combination of fresh, delicious food in ample servings contributes to a positive perception of value, even if some items might be considered "a little more expensive" compared to other local options. The large portions ensure a satisfying meal and potentially leftovers to enjoy later.

The customer service at Chinese Kitchen also receives positive mentions. The "lady at the front" is described as "very polite and patient," indicating a friendly and helpful interaction when placing and picking up orders. This personal touch can significantly enhance the overall customer experience, making patrons feel welcomed and valued.

Another highlight mentioned in the reviews is the size and quality of specific menu items. The chicken wings are described as "huge" and "crunchy and FRESH!" This suggests that they are a substantial and well-prepared appetizer option. The egg rolls are also noted for being "pretty large and good," although the reviewer clarifies that they are "not store made, but good nonetheless," indicating a satisfactory, if not exceptional, quality.

The bourbon chicken is another dish that received feedback. While one customer found it "good," they noted a preference for strip chicken over the chicken chunks that were used in the dish at Chinese Kitchen. This provides insight into the preparation style of this particular item and may help customers with specific preferences make informed choices.

Despite the many positives, there are a few drawbacks mentioned by customers. One notable limitation is the inflexibility regarding substitutions for their plain combo fried rice. Customers wishing to have chicken, pork, shrimp, or other variations of fried rice with their combo meals are required to purchase a separate order of the desired specialty fried rice, either in a small or large size. While the reviewer acknowledges that the fried rice is so good that wanting extra is likely, this policy might be inconvenient for some customers.

Another significant point of feedback is the lack of an online menu. In today's digital age, the absence of a readily accessible online menu can be a considerable inconvenience for potential customers who prefer to browse options and plan their orders in advance. This also means that information about specials might not be easily available unless one visits the physical location.

Furthermore, Chinese Kitchen operates strictly as a takeout establishment, with no dine-in facilities available. Customers wishing to enjoy their meal immediately after pickup will need to do so in their vehicles or elsewhere, as there are "no tables set up for eating inside." This is an important consideration for those who prefer to dine at the restaurant.

Despite the lack of dine-in and online menu, and the limitations on fried rice substitutions, Chinese Kitchen does run specials. However, information about these specials is not readily apparent and requires customers to "look over the whole front area" to see what is being offered. This suggests that promotional information is available in-store but not proactively communicated through other channels.

In conclusion, Chinese Kitchen at 982 Bethel St in Clover, SC, is a Chinese restaurant that has garnered positive reviews for its fresh and delicious takeout food, particularly the fried rice, which is highly praised. The restaurant is also known for its large portion sizes, friendly service, and standout items like the huge chicken wings and good-sized egg rolls. However, potential customers should be aware that it is a takeout-only establishment with no dine-in option and that substitutions for the plain combo fried rice are not accommodated. Additionally, there is no online menu available, and information about specials needs to be sought in-store. For local users in Clover seeking a reliable and tasty Chinese takeout experience with generous portions, Chinese Kitchen appears to be a strong contender and a "new favorite" for some, despite its limitations.

Not much to choose from when it comes to this area. Burnout on the other choices here, I decided to drive to this location and though a little more expensive, it didnt disappoint. I've eaten here twice now in a 2 weeks span. The negatives are that they don't substitute their plain combo fried rice for chicken, pork, shrimp, etc. fried rice - They require you to buy a separate order of a small or large order. The good side is that it's so good, you're going to want to have extra. My next complaint is it's 2024 and they don't have a menu available online. Lastly, if you're one that likes dine in, you'll have to eat in your vehicle or outside as there are no tables set up for eating inside. The positives: The food on both my visits have been fresh. The portion sizes are great. The lady at the front is very polite and patient. They run specials, but you have to look over the whole front area to see what is what. Definitely my new favorite. The chicken wings are huge. The bourbon chicken was good, but I'm use to strip chicken instead of chicken chunks (picture). The egg rolls are also pretty large and good. Not store made, but good nonetheless.

The fried rice is AMAZING—hands down the best I’ve ever had! I’ve tried many places, but this one is my all-time favorite. The staff were also incredibly kind and even gave me extra food, which made the experience even better. The chicken wings were crunchy and FRESH!

Visited this location and haven't been there in so long decided to get five wings and 10 fried biscuits had to wait 30 minutes to receive my order everyone that came in after me that did not have a call in order was served their food way before mine. And on top of that the chicken itself made me my fiance and my daughter sick we were vomiting and had diarrhea ever since we ate that chicken. I would suggest not visiting this location because of the service and because the food will make you sick.

As I had never been here before it was with great trepidation that I ordered takeout for my family of 5. We all had something different but it only took about 15 minutes to get our orders. When we got home the portions were quite large, enough for the next day, and even reheated in the microwave the food was pretty dang good. We shall return.

I only order a couple of things from there, but they are good. The inside is tiny and in need of updating and repairs. There is no tables to dine in, but there are a few tables outside that you can use. You deal with teenagers that have teenager attitudes. They charge an additional fee to use a card. They are very tight with the condiments. It isstrictly a take out place.
