About Chinese Fried Chicken

Located at 985 E 174th St in the Bronx, New York, NY 10460, Chinese Fried Chicken operates as a restaurant that specializes in both Chinese cuisine and, as its name suggests, fried chicken. This dual offering might suggest a menu that caters to a broad range of tastes, combining familiar American comfort food with traditional Chinese dishes. While the provided reviews do not describe the restaurant's environment, it is likely that Chinese Fried Chicken has a standard setup with a dining area for customers who wish to eat on-site, in addition to facilitating takeout and possibly delivery services.

The services offered by Chinese Fried Chicken can be inferred to include takeout, given the context of customers ordering food. Delivery service is also a strong possibility, as many restaurants in urban areas provide this convenience. While not explicitly stated, dine-in service is also a likely option for customers who prefer to eat at the restaurant. To confirm the full range of services, including dine-in availability and the delivery area, it is recommended to contact Chinese Fried Chicken directly at (718) 378-5293 or +1 718-378-5293.

The features of Chinese Fried Chicken's menu are implied by its name, suggesting a focus on both Chinese-style dishes and fried chicken. One review mentions that the "never mess fried rice" was previously a reliable dish, indicating that fried rice is a significant part of their Chinese offerings. The same review also notes changes in the egg drop soup, stating that it is now "tasteless and darker in color" and missing scallions, which were a customary addition under previous management. This suggests that the quality and preparation of their Chinese dishes may have changed. Another customer mentioned ordering "Shrimp meh fun" and finding a piece of hair in it, raising concerns about food safety and hygiene practices in the kitchen. This incident overshadowed any potential positive aspects of the food for that reviewer. To understand the full scope of their current menu, including any specialty items or changes under the new management, it would be best to inquire directly with the restaurant.

The limited customer feedback available paints a concerning picture of Chinese Fried Chicken, particularly under its new management. One reviewer explicitly states, "NEW MANAGEMENT. FOOD IS NO GOOD ANYMORE," indicating a significant decline in quality since the change in ownership. This customer details specific issues with the fried rice, which they now find "tasteless and EXTREMELY DRY," a stark contrast to their previous positive experiences. They also note a deterioration in the quality of the egg drop soup and a lack of attention to detail, such as omitting scallions. Furthermore, they mention a decline in the courtesy of the management compared to the previous owners. Another customer's experience was severely impacted by finding hair in their Shrimp meh fun, leading to an immediate loss of appetite and disappointment in the restaurant's hygiene practices. This incident, if it had not occurred, might have resulted in a much higher rating, suggesting that the underlying food quality could have been acceptable to this customer, barring the hygiene issue. These reviews collectively highlight significant concerns regarding food quality, consistency, and hygiene under the new management at Chinese Fried Chicken.

Promotional information for Chinese Fried Chicken is not mentioned in the provided customer reviews. Restaurants often use promotions to attract and retain customers, such as discounts on specific menu items, combination deals, or special offers for new customers. To find out if Chinese Fried Chicken currently has any promotions, it would be advisable to contact the restaurant directly via phone. Given the recent negative feedback regarding food quality and service, inquiring about any special offers might be a secondary concern to ensuring the quality and hygiene of the food being ordered.

In conclusion, Chinese Fried Chicken, located at 985 E 174th St in the Bronx, NY, is a restaurant offering a combination of Chinese cuisine and fried chicken. Recent customer reviews indicate significant concerns about the quality and consistency of their Chinese dishes, particularly under new management, as well as serious hygiene issues. While fried rice was previously a reliable item, current feedback describes it as tasteless and dry, and the egg drop soup has reportedly declined in quality. A concerning incident involving hair found in a noodle dish also raises questions about food safety practices. Potential customers should consider these recent experiences when deciding to order from or dine at Chinese Fried Chicken. To obtain the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any potential promotions, it is recommended to contact the restaurant directly at (718) 378-5293 or +1 718-378-5293, but with caution given the recent negative feedback.

NEW MANAGEMENT. FOOD IS NO GOOD ANYMORE. The never mess fried rice but this is the worst tasteless and EXTREMELY DRY fried rice I've eaten. Initially I gave them 4 stars but this is bad. It used to be my fav place. egg drop soups aren't coming out as before. Now they're tasteless and darker in color. They forgot to add scallions which is always put on my soup. Previous management was even courteous.

Food was good until I seen a piece of Black hair in my Shrimp meh fun. You can tell it was the hair from the cooks who don't protect their hair when cooking.. I was disappointed because I couldn't throw up my food I immediately loss my appetite. If I didn't see hair I would of gave it 4 or 5 stars.

Update 5 months later: I ordered my usual vegetable dish. I had to lower the score for my review. I found what looked like a short dark curly hair on mushroom. Disgusting. Photo below. Past review: Very nice, tasty food. My favorite Chinese take out in the neighborhood for those kind of nights.

Very cheap service. Gives you one soy sauce and one duck sauce, and to get an extra, it will cost you. Some orders your supposed to get sauces added to your food, aka BBQ Boneless spare ribs. No they charge you to put the sauce on it. Never again.

I love their food! They make Roast Pork Egg Foo Young just the way I like it! The bone-in spare ribs are also delicious! The only problem I have is that they have not hooked up to Seamless or GrubHub; THEY DON'T DELIVER! I would order from them on a regular basis if they would just come into the 21st century!
