About Chinese Express

Chinese Express is a Chinese restaurant situated at 4414 S Avalon Blvd in Los Angeles, California. Falling under the Chinese Restaurant category, Chinese Express caters to individuals looking for fast and convenient Asian cuisine, particularly as an alternative to typical fast-food options.

Customer reviews indicate that Chinese Express is a solid choice for quick Chinese food when time is limited. One reviewer, a fan of Asian cuisine, expressed satisfaction with the food, particularly the teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken wings ordered as a plate combination. They noted that while the surrounding area might not be the best, and there were homeless individuals outside, they were impressed with the food quality for a quick bite and would consider visiting at least once.

Another customer who ordered chow mein, BBQ pork, jalapeno chicken, and egg rolls found the food to be surprisingly delicious overall. However, they pointed out that the chicken in some dishes was chewy and tough, and the jalapeno chicken breading lacked crispiness and freshness. Regarding the environment, while the restaurant does have tables, it is not considered an ideal place for dining in. On a positive note, the staff were described as very friendly and nice, which positively influenced the overall rating despite the ambiance.

Chinese Express appears to focus on providing quick service and takeout options. While dine-in is available, the environment may not be the primary draw. The friendly staff is a notable feature, contributing to a positive customer interaction. The menu offers a variety of standard Chinese fast-food dishes, with some dishes receiving higher praise than others in terms of texture and preparation.

For those seeking a fast Chinese meal in the area, Chinese Express can be contacted at (323) 232-5788 or via mobile at +1 323-232-5788. Located at 4414 S Avalon Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90011, USA, it offers a convenient option for takeout with reports of friendly service and generally tasty food, albeit with some inconsistencies in texture and preparation.

Just had a quick bite as you know that Asian food is my favorite in the world. I’m always in a rush but I don’t like to eat McDonald’s or Burger King. I would rather eat here any day. I was actually impressed with the food. Not in the best area not going to lie and a bunch of homeless people camped outside the location. I would at least come here once wouldn’t be my top Asian food place though. But it’s solid for fast Chinese food when you don’t have the time to wait when sitting at a restaurant. I got teriyaki and a plate combination with 2 sides. Teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken wings.

I ordered the chow mein, BBQ pork, and jalapeno chicken with two egg rolls. The good was surprisingly delicious, but the chicken was chewy and tough. The breading on the jalapeno chicken was not as crispy or as fresh as I'd have liked. The store itself, although fit with tables, is not a place to really dine in. The staff were so friendly and nice, it's hard to rate the atmosphere low.

Some of the best vibes and Chinese food in Los angeles if you can get past the grotesque surroundings. Then homeless will hit you up if they see weakness be careful out there folks.

Never have I ever had a Chinese food spot COUNT how many pieces of beef they were giving out with beef broccoli. I literally had 10 broccoli pieces to 5 pieces of beef and they were small pieces of beef. Sign of the times I guess.

We love this place first because it's close to home but because the food is good and fresh. The employees are so nice and if you go frequently they do their best to get to know you unless they are busy but even then they are nice to everyone! Their shrimp fried rice is the best! You should try it! The other day I heard a customer say that they moved away but they still drive hear to get their Chinese food 😋
