About Chinese Buffet

Welcome to Chinese Buffet, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 2610 Homer M Adams Pkwy, Alton, IL 62002, USA. As a prominent establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Chinese Buffet aims to provide a diverse dining experience for the local community. You can reach them at (618) 463-4163 or their mobile number +1 618-463-4163 for inquiries or reservations.

Based on available customer feedback, the environment and service at Chinese Buffet appear to have both positive and negative aspects. One reviewer describes the restaurant as "very clean" with "plenty of seating and parking," suggesting a spacious and accessible location for diners. This positive aspect contributes to a comfortable dining atmosphere. Furthermore, this reviewer noted that the staff keeps the buffet well-stocked with fresh food on a regular basis, indicating an effort to maintain the quality and availability of their offerings.

However, other reviews present a contrasting perspective on the environment and service. One customer reported issues with cleanliness, specifically mentioning "sticky" tables. Additionally, this reviewer described an unsettling experience with a staff member vacuuming under their table while "coughing/ hawking loogies," which raises concerns about hygiene practices within the dining area. Such observations can significantly impact the overall dining experience and perception of the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness.

In terms of features and food quality, Chinese Buffet offers a buffet-style dining experience with a variety of options. One positive review highlights "a lot of good options," indicating a potentially extensive selection of dishes to cater to different tastes. The inclusion of drinks with the dinner is also mentioned as a positive feature, offering added value to the meal.

Conversely, another customer expressed dissatisfaction with the meat options available, stating that there were "basically no options for meat compared to other Chinese buffets" they had visited. This suggests that individuals seeking a wide variety of meat-centric dishes might find the selection limited. Moreover, this reviewer reported a significant issue with the quality of a specific item, the crab rangoon, which they claimed contained "no crab" and was "just cream cheese." This discrepancy between the expected ingredients and the actual contents can be disappointing for customers. The most alarming feedback from this review was the discovery of "plastic" in their husband's lo-mein, raising serious concerns about food safety and preparation practices.

Considering the mixed feedback, it appears that Chinese Buffet offers the convenience of a buffet with a potentially broad selection of dishes and ample seating. The cleanliness of the establishment seems to be a point of contention, with one customer praising it and another raising significant concerns. Similarly, the service experience varies, with positive remarks about the attentiveness in stocking fresh food contrasted by disturbing accounts of unhygienic behavior. The variety and quality of the food also receive mixed reviews, with praise for the overall selection but criticism regarding the meat options and the composition of specific items like the crab rangoon. The reported incident of finding plastic in a dish is a serious concern that potential customers should be aware of.

Currently, specific promotional information for Chinese Buffet is not available in the provided data. This is the best Chinese buffet in the metro-east imo. Always a lot of good options, they keep stocking fresh food regularly, the place is very clean, and there is plenty of seating and parking. Love it.

There are basically no options for meat compared to other chinese buffets i have been to. The crab rangoon has no crab, it’s just cream cheese. The worker was vacuuming under our table and coughing/ hawking loogies while doing it, quite gross. and all the tables were sticky. The only nice thing is drinks are included in the dinner. also: my husband found plastic in his lo-mein. 🤢🤢

This was the best Chinese Buffet that I've been to in a very long time. There were plenty of options available, the food was flavorful and delicious, and I didn't try anything that I didn't like. My BFF brought me here because it was her favorite and both my parents said it was also theirs. I will make the trip again and again.

Sundays here are ok at best. They should have a discount for those who come In around 8pm since they don’t close for another hour and half. Seems like they stopped cooking at 7pm. Food was Not Hot or Fresh like others have claimed. And I saw two couples that even choose the takeout option but wasn’t much to choose from. Hope they fix this for Sunday nights.
