About Chinawok

Chinawok is a Chinese restaurant located at 2948 E Bell Rd in Phoenix, Arizona. They can be contacted at (602) 992-1697 or their mobile number +1 602-992-1697.

As a "Chinese Restaurant," Chinawok has received contrasting feedback from its customers. One reviewer had a significantly negative experience, describing the environment as dusty, with visible dust on decorations hanging over tables. They reported that their egg drop soup appeared to have been microwaved, tasted stale and reheated, and was barely warm even after a short two-minute drive home. This customer also raised concerns about the quality of condiments, suspecting the chili oil was rancid, and noted the absence of a spoon with their order.

Conversely, another customer had a very positive impression of Chinawok, referring to it as a "great little Chinese food place" and a "hidden gem." They acknowledged its small size, using the term "hole in the wall" respectfully, and praised the owner as very friendly and helpful. This reviewer found the food they ordered to be delicious and recommended it to family and friends.

The contrasting reviews suggest that experiences at Chinawok can vary. While one customer encountered issues with cleanliness, food quality (freshness and temperature), and potentially condiment quality, another found the food delicious and the owner to be a significant positive aspect of the dining experience. Local users considering Chinawok might want to weigh these differing perspectives.

Features of Chinawok mentioned in the reviews include its small size and the friendliness of the owner. No specific promotional information was available in the provided text.

When you walk into this place, it smells dusty. It is dusty. All of the decorations have years of dust on them, and they're hanging over the tables. I ordered egg drop soup, I saw the man put it in the microwave, it tasted stale, old, reheated, and then they gave it to me, and I got it home, and it was still hardly warm. I only live 2 minutes away. I asked for soy sauce and chili oil, and I'm pretty sure the chili oil is rancid, and no spoon.

What a great little Chinese food place! This little hole in the wall, (I mean that with the most respect), it’s small but the owner is very friendly and helpful! Don’t let it’s size fool you the food we ordered was delicious! This place is a hidden gem! Take your family and friends with you or and enjoy

$30 for 2 combos and cheese wantons. My teriyaki chicken looks and has the texture of spam that’s been cooked a few times, sauce was good. Rice tasted burnt and had no other flavor. The orange chicken tastes old and reheated. The pork rolls are average and not anything special… could’ve been frozen and heated up. The cheese wantons were the crown jewel of the entire experience. NEVER EVER GOING BACK! Save yourself the $30 just to have a turkey sandwich.

A HIDDEN GEM(for takeout)! The reviews on this place are decent but let me tellll you— you get WAY more bang for your buck here and the food was very fresh tasting and good quality. I ordered the Szechwan Shrimp and my husband ordered the general tso chicken and everything was delicious. The egg rolls were OK but the large size egg drop soup made up for it. I will most definitely be coming back next time.

Service was fast and decent, but the food is barely edible, it’s tasteless, except for the oil, I got the house special, and it barely had any meat just mostly lo mein noodles, I had to dump soy sauce on it just to give it taste, I’d rather go to Panda Express atleast I’d get more meat than noodles
