About China8
China8 is a Chinese restaurant located at 340 E Martintown Rd, North Augusta, SC 29841, USA. As a local Chinese eatery, China8 offers a variety of dishes for both dine-in and takeout. They can be contacted at (803) 441-0017 or +1 803-441-0017 for orders and inquiries.
Recent customer reviews provide some insights into the dining experience at China8. One customer shared a mixed experience, noting that while the food was generally "good," the preparation time was longer than stated, resulting in a ten-minute wait upon arrival for their order. However, they did commend the cashiers for being "nice," indicating a positive interaction with the front-of-house staff. Regarding the food itself, this reviewer found the wonton soup to be "a bit salty" and their chicken and broccoli dish to need "more chicken." Despite these issues, they expressed a willingness to return for a second chance, suggesting that the overall experience was not entirely negative and that there might be potential for improvement or for other dishes to be more satisfying.
Another customer reported that their plate, consisting of General Tso's chicken and a pork egg roll, "tasted good." They also mentioned that their early arrival around 11:30 am likely contributed to the food being hot. However, this reviewer was less impressed with the pork egg roll, describing its taste as "weird" and different from the usual egg rolls found at other Chinese restaurants. On the other hand, their fiancé's meal, which included tilapia and shrimp, received a more lukewarm response. While the rice was deemed "good," the fish was described as "eh," indicating a lack of strong positive or negative impression. This suggests that the quality and appeal of different dishes on the menu may vary.
Based on these limited reviews, it appears that China8 offers a somewhat inconsistent experience. While some dishes, like the General Tso's chicken and possibly the rice, have been positively received, others, such as the wonton soup, the proportion of chicken in the chicken and broccoli dish, the pork egg roll, and the tilapia and shrimp, have garnered less favorable or mixed feedback. The service at the cashier level seems to be a positive aspect, with staff described as nice, although the food preparation time may not always be accurate.
Information regarding the environment or ambiance of China8 is not provided in the available reviews. There are no comments about the restaurant's decor, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere. Similarly, details about the services offered are limited to takeout, as indicated by one reviewer collecting their order. Whether dine-in service is also available is not explicitly stated, but it is a reasonable assumption for a Chinese restaurant. Other potential services, such as delivery, are not mentioned.
In terms of features, the menu likely includes a standard array of popular Chinese-American dishes, as suggested by the mention of General Tso's chicken, chicken and broccoli, wonton soup, pork egg rolls, tilapia, and shrimp. The "weird taste" of the egg roll might indicate a unique preparation or ingredients that differ from the norm. The willingness of one customer to give China8 a second chance suggests that there might be other aspects or dishes worth exploring.
No promotional information, such as special offers, lunch specials, or discounts, is mentioned in the provided reviews. To learn about any current promotions or to get a better understanding of their full menu and services, it would be best to contact China8 directly at (803) 441-0017.
In conclusion, China8 in North Augusta, SC, appears to be a Chinese restaurant with some positive aspects, such as friendly cashiers and potentially tasty dishes like the General Tso's chicken. However, there are also areas for potential improvement, including food preparation time and the consistency and quality of certain dishes like the wonton soup, chicken and broccoli, pork egg roll, and tilapia and shrimp. The willingness of one customer to return suggests that China8 might have more to offer, and individual experiences can vary. Local users interested in trying China8 may want to consider these mixed reviews and perhaps focus on dishes that have received positive feedback. For more information on their menu, services, and any promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

It was good. Not very fast (food wasn’t ready at stated time so I had to wait ten extra minutes). However the cashiers were nice. Wonton soup was a bit salty and my chicken and broccoli dish needed more chicken but I would come back to give them a second chance
In my opinion my plate tasted good. I had the general tso and a pork egg roll. We got there around 1130 am so the food was hot. The egg roll didn’t taste very good. It had a weird taste from your usual egg rolls you get at Chinese places. On the other hand my fiancé wasn’t too impressed with his meal he got the tilapia and shrimp. He said the rice tasted good but the fish was eh
The service was great, friendly staff...the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was laid back..but the food - HORRIBLE. I got the sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice and my husband got the almond chicken with shrimp fried rice and we got an order of wings. The wings and sweet tea were the only good things out of the entire meal, and the wings were just ok. The sesame chicken tasted like it was reheated from the day before (if you know what tyson nuggets taste like when they're microwaved, that's the flavor I compare it to). The rice had a sour-ish taste to it, soy sauce won't even cover the taste..and you get only about 5-6 shrimp which had no flavor. It was roughly $29 and some change for 2 meals at lunch time. I wish I had spent that money at Monterrey instead. I won't be going back to this restaurant.
I love going to this place however tonight I was very disappointed 😞 I ordered one of the trays and it comes with 25 wings and some shrimp fried rice the chicken was extra small and the rice didn't taste like it usually does. Please get it together or you will keep losing customers... This wasn't worth $33
This is the best food I’ve eaten since I’ve moved here simply the best Chinese food the rice is very tasty and the chicken is seasoned to well I can’t complain
