About China Wok Restaurant

China Wok Restaurant is a Chinese Restaurant located at 6819 Parker Rd, Florissant, MO 63033, USA. They can be contacted at (314) 355-2627 or +1 314-355-2627. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, China Wok offers a variety of Chinese dishes to the Florissant community. Based on the limited customer reviews available, there appear to be contrasting opinions regarding the quality and value offered by this restaurant.

One customer review presents a positive experience, describing China Wok as "one of the best spots for Chinese out here!" This reviewer specifically praises the fried rice, noting that it is "actually fried" and "really well cooked." They also mention having been a customer for several years, indicating a level of consistent satisfaction over time. Two dishes are highlighted as favorites: the Duck fried rice and the Hunan Chicken, both enthusiastically recommended with fire emojis, suggesting they are particularly flavorful and enjoyable. This positive review concludes with a strong recommendation for China Wok.

In contrast, another customer review expresses significant dissatisfaction with their experience at China Wok, labeling it as "probably one of the worse places in the Lou to get Chinese food." This reviewer criticizes the value of the combination plates, stating that they cost $10 but include only a small portion of what they describe as "orange looking nasty dry rice" and "nasty crab ragoons," along with a small portion of the chosen entree. This customer reports that their children also disliked the food, and they personally felt it was "not worth the money, or time going here." The strong negative sentiment is further emphasized by the reviewer stating they would never seek recommendations from anyone who enjoys eating at China Wok.

A significant piece of practical information mentioned in the positive review is that China Wok operates on a "Cash Only" basis. This is an important detail for potential customers to be aware of before visiting the restaurant, as they will need to ensure they have sufficient cash on hand to pay for their meal.

Given the limited number of reviews and the stark contrast in opinions, it is challenging to provide a definitive description of the environment, services, and features of China Wok Restaurant. However, we can attempt to infer some aspects based on the comments provided.

The positive review, focusing primarily on the food quality of specific dishes like the fried rice and Hunan Chicken, does not offer any insights into the restaurant's ambiance or décor. Similarly, the negative review concentrates on the perceived poor quality and value of the combination plates, without mentioning the physical environment of the establishment.

In terms of services, it is evident that China Wok offers both dine-in and carry-out options, as customers have ordered and presumably eaten the food. The mention of combination plates suggests a menu structure with pre-set meal options. The "Cash Only" policy dictates a specific payment method that customers must adhere to.

Features of China Wok, based on the positive review, could include well-prepared fried rice and flavorful dishes like the Hunan Chicken and Duck fried rice. The negative review, however, suggests features such as combination plates that are perceived as overpriced and of poor quality, with small portions. The "Cash Only" payment policy is another notable feature.

There is no promotional information available for China Wok Restaurant in the provided data. It is unknown if they offer any discounts, special deals, or loyalty programs.

In conclusion, the customer reviews for China Wok Restaurant in Florissant, MO, present a divided picture. One customer highly recommends it, praising the quality of specific dishes and the preparation of the fried rice, while also noting the "Cash Only" policy. Conversely, another customer expresses strong dissatisfaction with the combination plates, citing poor quality, small portions, and a lack of value. This stark contrast in feedback makes it difficult for potential local users to form a definitive opinion based solely on this limited information.

Local users considering dining at China Wok may want to weigh these contrasting experiences. The positive review, highlighting specific popular dishes and consistent quality over several years, suggests that there may be menu items that are particularly well-regarded. However, the negative review raises concerns about the value and quality of at least some of the offerings, specifically the combination plates. The "Cash Only" policy is a practical consideration for all potential customers.

Without more information or a greater number of reviews, it is not possible to provide a more comprehensive or balanced introduction to China Wok Restaurant. Potential customers may wish to seek additional reviews or try the restaurant themselves to form their own opinion. Given the conflicting feedback, experiences may vary.

Probably one of the worse places in the Lou to get Chinese food. Their combination plates are $10. And there’s only 1 scoop of orange looking nasty dry rice with nasty crab ragoons and your choice of whatever that will be small in portion. My kids hated the food and so did I. It’s not worth the money, or time going here. And if you do like eating here I will never ask you for recommendations on where to eat!!! 💯

Update: I've been buying food from here off and on for years. On my last two visits, the food was horrible. The first time, I thought they just had a bad night. The last time was worse than the first. The shrimp smelled fishy. That's a sign of bad seafood. There were a lot of broken noodles in the Lo-mein dish, and the sauce tasted like it had a ton of sugar in it. I actually started feeling sick, like I got food poisoning. I will not return . I've learned my lesson.

Haven’t eaten there since they re-opened until today. They’re hot braised chicken and fried rice is the best I’ve ever had from a take out restaurant both before the shut down and again today. I have only had great experiences there. The staff has always been friendly and the food has always been delicious.
