The platform category "Chinese Restaurant" encompasses a wide variety of dining establishments that specialize in serving dishes inspired by the diverse culinary traditions of China. These restaurants often offer a range of cooking styles, regional specialties, and dining experiences to cater to different tastes and preferences. China Wok operates within this category, offering its interpretation of Chinese cuisine to the residents and visitors of Thomasville, North Carolina.
Based on the limited customer feedback available, experiences at China Wok appear to be inconsistent and, in some cases, disappointing. One reviewer recounted a particularly negative experience with an order of pork fried rice with ribs. According to this review, the dish contained "absolutely no pork or anything else in the rice but BBQ sauce." This significant deviation from the expected ingredients led to great disappointment. Furthermore, when the customer contacted the restaurant to report this issue, they claimed that the staff only offered to prepare another order at an additional cost, without any apology or correction for the initial mistake. This negative experience led the reviewer to strongly recommend against patronizing China Wok.
Another customer shared a more nuanced experience. They ordered a small wonton soup on Christmas Day 2024. This reviewer identified themselves as a frequent traveler who had visited over a hundred different "China Woks," suggesting familiarity with a chain or a common restaurant name. They noted that the service at this particular location was "great." However, they also pointed out a significant drawback: the wontons in their soup were the "smallest wontons out of any China Wok I have been to." The price of the small wonton soup, after tax, was $3.52. This review indicates a discrepancy in portion size compared to other restaurants with a similar name, despite the positive service interaction.
Information regarding the environment of China Wok is not provided in the available reviews. Details about the restaurant's ambiance, cleanliness, decor, or overall atmosphere are not mentioned. Therefore, it is difficult to offer any insight into the dining environment based solely on this feedback. Potential customers seeking information about the dine-in experience may need to inquire directly or visit the location.
In terms of services, the reviews suggest that China Wok offers takeout, as both customers mentioned placing and receiving orders. The positive comment about "great service" in the context of a takeout order indicates that at least some aspects of their customer interaction are satisfactory. However, the negative experience involving the incorrect pork fried rice order and the subsequent lack of resolution suggests potential inconsistencies in their service approach when errors occur. Whether China Wok also offers dine-in or delivery services is not explicitly stated in the current information. Local users interested in these aspects may need to contact the restaurant directly for clarification.
The features of China Wok, based on the limited feedback, include a menu that offers dishes such as pork fried rice with ribs and wonton soup. The preparation and quality of these items appear to be inconsistent. The pork fried rice incident highlights a significant issue with ingredient accuracy, while the wonton soup review points to potentially smaller portion sizes compared to other establishments with a similar name. The service seems to be a mixed bag, with one reviewer praising it as "great" and another detailing a negative experience with a lack of apology and unwillingness to rectify an incorrect order without additional payment.
No promotional information for China Wok is included in the provided text. Chinese restaurants often utilize various promotional strategies to attract customers, such as lunch specials, combination deals, family discounts, or special offers on popular dishes. To find out if China Wok currently has any promotions, it would be best to contact them directly using the phone numbers provided.
In conclusion, the limited customer feedback for China Wok in Thomasville, NC, presents a mixed picture. While one reviewer praised the service, they noted smaller than expected portions. Another reviewer reported a significant error with their food order and expressed dissatisfaction with the restaurant's handling of the issue. Potential customers should consider these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to patronize China Wok. It may be prudent to inquire specifically about menu items and portion sizes when placing an order and to be aware of the potential for inconsistencies in food preparation and customer service based on the available reviews.

I ordered pork fried rice with ribs, there was absolutely no pork or anything else in the rice but BBQ sauce. Very disappointed with this mess. I called the store to report this and all they wanted to do was make me pay for another one with no correction or apologies of this order . I do not recommend this place.
I ordered a small wonton soup on Christmas day '24. I am a traveler and have been to over a hundred China Woks. This one had great service, but the smallest wontons out of any China Wok I have been to. Price came to 3.52 after tax.
I have had this place before and didn’t have any issues. However, this time was not the same. I ordered the tofu soup with vegetables. At first, I noticed that a couple of the pieces of tofu had greyish black spots on them so I checked through the others. I then noticed that almost all of the pieces had those same spots. This indicates that the tofu has started/has gone bad, yet they used it in the soup. I was able to pick the tofu out and just eat the vegetables with the soup. But, then I noticed that there was a bug on the spoon with my next bite. The only reason I noticed it was a bug was because I saw the legs floating in the broth. I’ve included photos of both of these. It’s just unfortunate and really grosses me out. I understand things happen but the combination of the two issues was unsettling.
The dumplings are terrible. It's what I order everywhere I do. And these are the worst I've ever had. I think they were frozen from the Walmart. Awful.
Hot and sour soup was good I would order again. BUT egg rolls were bad all wonton wrapper no filling, very unhappy no pork no veggies all wrapper
