About China Wok

China Wok is a Chinese restaurant located at 2010 Maryland Ave, Baltimore, MD 21218, USA. They can be contacted at phone number (410) 332-0668 or mobile phone +1 410-332-0668.

As a local Chinese Restaurant, China Wok has received mixed feedback from recent customers. One review described the orange chicken and fried rice as poorly made, with the chicken being soggy and tasting reheated rather than fresh. The food was also reported to be cold.

Conversely, another customer who had not ordered Chinese food in years but was craving it after moving to Baltimore from New York reported a positive experience with China Wok. They enjoyed their meal of shrimp and broccoli with steamed white rice, a steak and cheese egg roll, and cheese wontons. The cheese wontons were noted for being perfectly crisp with flavorful, melty cheese. This customer found the portion size for the shrimp and broccoli to be good for the price and indicated they would likely order again for a "feast night." However, they did mention that the price of the homemade teas at $3.50 was higher than what they were used to in New York.

Local users considering China Wok should take into account these varying recent experiences. While one customer reported issues with food quality and freshness, another found their meal enjoyable, particularly highlighting the cheese wontons and the portion size of the shrimp and broccoli. The price of beverages was noted as a potential drawback by one reviewer.

I ordered Orange Chicken and fried rice. The chicken was very soggy like it was sitting for a while and then reheated. Did not taste fresh, Cold, and poorly made.

So I haven’t ordered Chinese in years but for a Baltimore location I definitely enjoyed my meal. I am used to fresh tasting NY Chinese but I’ve been living in Baltimore for 3 years and really craving their food. I ordered from China Wok: Shrimp/Broccoli with a side of steamed white rice & a steak & cheese egg roll with a few other menu items. (Cheese wontons) were a perfect crisp with the flavorful melty cheese. Few other menu items for a great night with a taste of Chinese cuisine. Definitely would buy again for a feast night with my spouse. I don’t like that the homemade teas were $3.50 used to $1.25 in NYC didn’t even drink it yet but I do like the portion size for the price on the shrimp and broccoli.

Favorite Chinese takeout in Baltimore. I usually get the chicken and broccoli, and the donuts are really good too. Pick up is always super quick. Lunch/dinner for less than $10–whats not to like?

Service was fast food wast nasty. I ordered cheese steak egg roll and shrimp fried rice with spare ribs. Rice was tasteless. And the egg roll was just cabbage literally. I hate trying new places then let down. Spend at your own risk that's all

Mediocre at best. This place had good reviews so I wanted to try it. What a mistake. I ordered a combo meal: sweet and sour chicken, lo mein (paid $2 extra), and a pork egg roll. I also got an order of crab Rangoon. The egg roll was good and crispy. I wish I got a dozen of those! The lo mein was plain noodles with soy sauce. Very dry! Not worth the extra $2. The sweet and sour chicken was just okay. Some parts were tough and over fried while others were stuck together and the batter still kind of raw. The crab Rangoon was overly fishy and tasted like it was mixed with flour and water, and nothing else. Yuck! The sweet and sour sauce was incredibly watery. Will never order from here again!!
