About China Wok

China Wok is a Chinese Restaurant located at 4496 John Tyler Hwy in Williamsburg, Virginia. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, it aims to provide Chinese cuisine to the community through its services. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance and environment are not provided in the limited available information, Chinese restaurants typically offer a casual setting for individuals and families to enjoy a variety of dishes.

China Wok likely offers standard services expected from a Chinese restaurant, which usually include dine-in and takeout options. Additionally, one customer review mentions ordering through DoorDash, indicating that China Wok also provides delivery services through third-party platforms. To inquire about their services, place an order, or get more information, you can contact China Wok directly at (757) 220-1001 or their mobile number +1 757-220-1001. It is advisable to call ahead for takeout or delivery orders, especially during peak dining hours, to ensure timely preparation and delivery.

The menu at China Wok likely features a range of classic Chinese dishes, including various chicken, beef, pork, and seafood entrees, along with rice and noodle dishes. However, the provided customer reviews offer some insights into the perceived quality of certain food items. One reviewer found the food to be "mediocre at best," specifically mentioning that while the rice was "pretty good," the chicken was "not good at all." They also expressed unfamiliarity and dissatisfaction with the taste of the sesame chicken, stating, "Never had sesame chicken that tasted this way. Not impressed!" This feedback suggests potential issues with the preparation and taste of at least some of China Wok's dishes.

Another customer had an even more negative experience when ordering through DoorDash. Their review stated, "Food was disgusting ordered through door dash NOTHING LIKE THE OTHER CHINA WOK!!!!! WHAT A COMPLETE DIFFERENCE." This review is particularly concerning as it not only describes the food as "disgusting" but also implies a significant discrepancy in quality compared to another establishment with the same name. This suggests potential issues with food preparation consistency or perhaps confusion with a different restaurant altogether. Regardless, this feedback strongly advises against ordering from this particular China Wok, at least via DoorDash, based on one customer's experience.

Based on the limited but strongly negative feedback available, potential customers should approach China Wok with considerable caution. Both reviews express significant dissatisfaction with the food quality, with one customer finding the sesame chicken unpalatable and the other describing their entire order as "disgusting." The comparison to another "China Wok" further complicates the picture and raises questions about the consistency and quality control of this specific location, especially for delivery orders placed through third-party services like DoorDash.

Given the nature of the feedback, it is difficult to ascertain any positive features or promotional information about China Wok from the provided data. The focus of the reviews is overwhelmingly negative, centered on issues with poor food quality. Therefore, any introduction must objectively reflect these concerns as they are the only insights available from the provided source.

For individuals seeking a Chinese restaurant in the Williamsburg, VA area, it would be prudent to consider these recent customer experiences when making a decision. The strong negative sentiments expressed in both reviews regarding the taste and overall quality of the food suggest that exploring alternative Chinese dining options in the vicinity might be advisable. Potential customers may want to look for restaurants with more consistently positive feedback regarding their food quality and service.

In conclusion, China Wok is a Chinese Restaurant located in Williamsburg, VA, offering dine-in, takeout, and potentially delivery services through platforms like DoorDash. However, recent customer reviews indicate significant concerns about the quality of the food, with one reviewer describing the sesame chicken as uncharacteristic and unappetizing, and another labeling their delivery order as "disgusting" and vastly different from another restaurant with the same name. Potential customers are strongly advised to consider this negative feedback when choosing a Chinese restaurant in the area.

The food has been good, we been charge different price at different times because we get fried rice instead of white rice. Still a little on pricy side for dinner for what your really getting. We continue to order from here at times.

Poorly executed Chinese/American dishes. Even the Egg Rolls had no taste. White rice was about the only edible part of three meals. Avoid at all costs!
