Recent customer reviews for China Wok in Princeton indicate significant concerns regarding food quality. One recurring issue mentioned is the excessive breading on the sesame chicken with an insufficient amount of chicken inside. Customers have also described the sesame chicken as oily and tasting of old grease. Similarly, fried shrimp was noted to be too oily and lacking in flavor, with one reviewer suspecting the oil was old due to a bitter aftertaste.

The rice has also been criticized, with one customer describing a strange, almost old taste. The hot and sour soup was described as rancid by one reviewer, and another found a large soup to be bland and oily, needing more salt. An egg roll was also reported to taste old and foul, leading the customer to spit it out.

In terms of pricing, one customer noted that the cost of one entree, a side of rice, and a large soup was over $18. Another customer's meal of an entree and fried shrimp cost $13.41.

Regarding service, one reviewer did commend the kindness of the woman behind the counter, noting she seemed to be doing most of the work and appeared to have difficulty walking. However, this positive note was overshadowed by the negative feedback on the food quality, which one customer reported as being consistently poor over a two-year period.

Overall, the recent reviews suggest potential issues with the food quality at China Wok, including excessive oiliness, too much breading, and questionable freshness of some items. Customers have expressed disappointment with the taste and quality of several dishes. No information regarding the restaurant's environment or any current promotions was provided in these reviews.

Update: It's been two years since I went to this establishment. Honestly I completely forgot about my rating and I was just looking for something to eat. Non coincidentally I ordered pretty much the same thing minus the soup. I did get the fried shrimp though. It was alright. A little too oily for my taste, and the flavor just wasn't there. The oil was probably old as I could taste a bitterness in the back of my throat. It's really unfortunate that the food is still pretty bad 2 years later. I had to give three stars instead of two however, because the kind woman behind the counter was really sweet and it seemed like she was doing most of the work. She did seem to have a hard time walking so I kind of felt bad. I do wish establishments could just read reviews and try to make it a little better for the sake of getting better reviews. Unfortunately that's just not the case. The rice had a really strange taste to it almost like it was old and had been sitting for a while. And the sesame chicken was again oily with too much breading, and I could also taste the old grease in that as well. The price for this meal was $13.41. I will say the food was super hot so there's that. Overall the experience was pretty much the same as 2 years ago. I'm going to remember that I didn't exactly like it, and hope that they do a little better next time. _____________________________________ One entree, a side of rice, and a large soup cost over 18 dollars. The soup was bland, yet oily. Needed more salt. The sesame chicken had way too much breading and not enough chicken. Seemed like they triple breaded it. The broccoli was almost uncooked. Won't be going back.

We got pick up tonight around 6pm. The hot and sour soup tasted rancid. The egg roll tasted old and foul. I took one bite and spit it out. The sesame chicken had SO much breading and the sauce was flavorless. It was my first time eating here and will be my last. I have a sour after taste in my mouth. Hoping I don’t get sick tomorrow.

The food was edible, but it was bland. The sesame chicken and general tso's chicken tasted almost the same, as the sauce seemed watery and the flavor came mostly fromm the heavily breaded chicken. The fried rice didn't taste seasoned either. Egg rolls were good at least.

I don't leave reviews but 3.9 is far too low. Chicken on a stick with a side of hot oil (great hot oil). The chicken is perfectly cooked and not dry at all. Wife got crawfish and is very picky about her seafood but it was cooked perfectly (far better than Razoos). She also got crab ragoon and loved it. This is the first time in a long time I've had chicken not dried out. Also its a ton of chicken for meat on a stick. I ordered three of them, expecting small portions, and was happily surprised. As for the restaurant the outside looks a little old/worn (i.e rougher parking lot) but inside looked very well taken care of but most of all was very clean. I've been desperate for good Chinese food and I'm thrilled to have this close by.

Got delivery - orange chicken sauce has 0 flavor and taste like oil. School lunches were better. Wife’s chicken was “super rubbery and weird”. No one finished anything and prices from mailer differ from online. Will not return.
