About China Wok

China Wok is a Chinese restaurant located at 1109 Del Prado Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33990, USA. They can be contacted at (239) 242-0921 or +1 239-242-0921. As a Chinese restaurant in Cape Coral, China Wok offers both dine-in and takeout options for local customers.

Based on online reviews, China Wok provides a casual dining environment with basic laminate tables and benches. Customers can help themselves to plastic silverware, napkins, and condiment packets at the front counter. One reviewer noted that finding good Chinese food in Cape Coral can be challenging and was pleased to discover China Wok, which was not mentioned by friends or neighbors who primarily suggested buffet places.

A significant feature highlighted is their attractively priced lunch menu at $7.75. This special includes a choice of Egg Drop or Wonton Soup, or an Egg Roll, or a Soda, along with an entree that comes with Pork Fried Rice. The brisk lunch takeout business observed by one customer suggests the food is generally well-received.

Specific dishes mentioned in the positive review include the Shrimp and Chinese Vegetables (which the reviewer found lacked spiciness but was flavorful with added hot mustard), Hot N Sour Soup (noted for its very hot temperature and unique flavor blend), and Chicken and Mixed Vegetables (described as excellent). The Pork Fried Rice accompanying the entrees was also mentioned. However, the Egg Roll was described as just okay, being vegetable-based and somewhat lacking in flavor without added sauce.

On the other hand, a more recent review expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the food, describing it as inedible, dry, and stuck together. This negative feedback contrasts sharply with the positive lunch experience shared by another customer.

In summary, China Wok offers a value-oriented lunch special and appears to have some popular dishes. The restaurant provides a casual dine-in setting and has a strong takeout service. However, recent feedback indicates potential inconsistencies in food quality. Local users looking for a Chinese restaurant with an affordable lunch option in Cape Coral may want to consider China Wok, while also being aware of the mixed reviews regarding food quality.

We Like This Place - And You Can Eat In For some reason, it's hard to find good Chinese food in the Cape Coral area. We moved down to this area recently and asked friends and neighbors and we always here about two large buffet places. Nobody ever mentioned China Wok. We were in the area and wanted a lunch so we stopped in and we're glad we did. Just as many small Chinese restaurants, they offer anything off of their regular menu and also have a lunch menu attractively priced at $7.75 which includes your choice of Egg Drop or Wonton Soup, or and Egg Roll, or a Soda in addition to your entree which also comes with Pork Fried Rice. This is not a fancy place. Plastic silverware, napkins, packets of sweet n sour sauce and hot mustard are at one end of the front counter for you to self serve. Basic laminate covered tables and benches are there if you want to eat in. I ordered the Shrimp and Chinese Vegetables, which was supposed to have some spiciness, and a Soda for us to share. As I enjoy Hot N Sour Soup, I ordered a Small for an additional $3.95. My wife ordered the Chicken and Mixed Vegetables with an Egg Roll. As we waited, we noticed a brisk lunch take-out business which always indicates that the food must be good. We could here the clanging of the woks in the kitchen and our dishes were brought out to us quickly. The soup could not have been any hotter temperature wise. It had to be just below boiling point and I prefer it that way. The flavor was enjoyable and as I have found, every Chinese place has a little different flavor when it comes to Hot N Sour soup. This had a nice blend of spice from chilies, vinegar, vegetables and tofu in probably a chicken based broth. This container was actually enough for me for lunch, but I had to try my Shrimp and Vegetable. I didn't really notice any heat from spice so I added a few drizzles of the infamous Chinese hot mustard and that did the trick. Six medium shrimp with a variety of Chinese veggies in a tasty sauce accompanied by pork fried rice. I had a few tastes and took the rest home for lunch the next day. My wife's Egg Roll was just ok. Veggie based, not a lot of flavor. Sweet and Sour sauce and mustard added some flavor. Her Chicken and Vegetables was excellent. Plenty of chicken and veggies in a sauce similar to mine and the same fried rice. She brought home about half. When you can get good tasting Chinese food and get it at a lunch special price, it's even better! We have gone back several times and will visit again. Try it!

The fact that they get to walk away with my hard earned money, makes me sick! The fact that they even let food leave their restaurant looking like this baffles me! This is the second time I’ve ordered from there. The first time was for my kids with the babysitter so I didn’t eat. It never would’ve gotten my business again whole heartedly believe I deserve my money back as this food was not edible.!!!! If I could post my video I would y’all would laugh I couldn’t even break it and it was so dry it stuck together 😂🤦‍♀️

I read the reviews some great some bad so I have it the benefit of the doubt . Some of the Food taste like it could have been good but I'm very disappointed. I got sweet and sour chicken orange chicken and both chicken have a taste I can't pin point . It's in the chicken honestly unsure if it's chicken on top of the texture pork fried rice is good egg roll taste is unediable. Pepper steak is edible although I've already lost my appetite. Service was excellent

We wanted to try a new Chinese place, which is kinda scary because there aren't many good ones in the area. I read the other reviews and decided to give this place a try. I've got to say this is the best we've had in a very long time. I ordered online for pickup. The ordering process was simple and I loved the fact that you had tons of options listed to modify your combo. My husband always wants shrimp lo mein and it's always a pain when I order online trying to swap the fried rice out. Our food was ready as soon as I got there. The staff was pleasant. My husband got the general tsos and I got the szechuan beef. Wow. Both meals were delicious. His lo mein came with lots of good size shrimp and he said they were cooked perfectly. I think we've found our new go to Chinese place. Oh and you can't beat their prices, very reasonable.

The best Mongolian beef I’ve had in 30 plus years. Glad to have found China wok. Deducted a start because when I ordered fried rice w no egg no peas, they had literally rice and shrimp in the box which was gross. Wish they would have tied to make something without those 2 ingredients. Haven’t order fried rice since. But dam that Mongolian beef❤️
