About China Wok

China Wok is a Chinese restaurant conveniently situated at 2002 Annapolis Mall Rd #1055, Annapolis, MD 21401, USA. As a Chinese restaurant located within a shopping mall, China Wok likely caters to shoppers and local residents looking for a quick and convenient meal of Chinese-American cuisine. While no phone number is provided in the available information, it can be assumed that they operate during the mall's business hours and likely offer takeout services, common for such establishments.

Based on recent customer reviews, there are a few key aspects to note about the current offerings at China Wok. One reviewer, writing on an unspecified date, mentioned that the restaurant provides a generous amount of food per order. However, they also pointed out a significant change in their meat selection, stating that currently, only chicken options are available, with other meats no longer being offered. This is a crucial piece of information for regular patrons or those seeking specific meat dishes in their Chinese cuisine.

The same reviewer described the chicken as "not bad" but noted that it tends to be quite sweet. This suggests that the flavor profile of their chicken dishes leans towards the sweeter side, which might appeal to some palates while being less desirable for others who prefer savory or spicy options. The reviewer also indicated a change in pricing, mentioning that a "2-meat plate" now costs $12, and explicitly stating that the restaurant is "no longer cheap." This suggests a potential increase in prices over time, which local users should be aware of.

Another customer shared a more nuanced perspective, stating that their personal experience with China Wok has generally been positive. They initially found negative reviews confusing, attributing this to the fact that they consistently order the same dish: the Singapore Chicken. This dish is described as "always delicious and tasty," suggesting it is a standout item on their menu and a reliable choice for this particular customer.

Interestingly, this second reviewer also recalled sampling other chicken dishes, specifically mentioning the Bourbon Chicken and Orange Chicken. Their experience with these was less favorable, describing them as "pretty bland," which aligns with the negative feedback found in some unspecified reviews they had previously encountered. This highlights a potential inconsistency in the quality or flavor profiles of different dishes offered at China Wok.

Beyond the chicken options, this reviewer also mentioned that the "Steak and buttered Shrimp" are generally "good and usually spot on." This indicates that while their current meat selection might be limited to chicken, they have historically offered and potentially still offer (though perhaps less consistently) steak and shrimp dishes that have been well-received. This could be a point of interest for customers looking for alternatives to chicken, though it's important to note the first reviewer's comment about only chicken being available "now." It is unclear if the availability of steak and shrimp is temporary, subject to specific days, or if the first reviewer's information supersedes this.

As a Chinese restaurant located within a mall food court, the environment of China Wok is likely functional and geared towards quick service and casual dining. Mall food courts typically offer shared seating areas, so the ambiance might be less about a unique restaurant atmosphere and more about convenience while shopping. Specific details about China Wok's stall appearance, cleanliness, or any unique features of their setup are not provided in the reviews.

In terms of services, China Wok likely focuses on order preparation and takeout, given its location within a mall. It is probable that customers order at the counter and either eat in the food court's common seating area or take their food to go. Delivery services might be less common for mall-based restaurants unless they partner with third-party delivery platforms, which is not mentioned in the provided information. Details about catering services are also absent.

Features of China Wok, based on the reviews, include potentially large portion sizes for the price, although the value proposition has reportedly decreased due to recent price increases. A specific feature appears to be their Singapore Chicken dish, which has garnered positive feedback for its taste. However, the current limitation to only chicken as a meat option is a significant feature that distinguishes their current menu from what might have been offered in the past. The inconsistency in flavor between different chicken dishes (sweet vs. bland) is another notable characteristic.

No specific promotional information, such as discounts, special offers, or meal deals, is mentioned in the provided reviews. Customers interested in potential promotions might need to visit their location at Annapolis Mall or check the mall's website or any listed online presence for China Wok to see if any deals are currently available. Given the comment about the price increase, it might be less likely that significant discounts are being offered at this time.

In conclusion, China Wok, situated in the Annapolis Mall in Annapolis, MD, currently appears to specialize in chicken dishes, with a sweet flavor profile noted by one reviewer. While they are known for providing large portions, their prices have reportedly increased. The Singapore Chicken seems to be a popular and well-regarded dish, contrasting with other chicken options that have been described as bland. Historically, they may have offered steak and shrimp as well. Local users should be aware of the limited meat selection and the reported price increase when considering dining at China Wok. For more information on their current menu, services, and any potential promotions, visiting their location or checking the Annapolis Mall's directory might be necessary.

They do give you a lot of food. They only have chicken now, no other meat. The chicken is not bad it is really sweet. No longer cheap though. $12 for 2-meat plate.

This place has always been good to me so I didn't understand the negative reviews at first. But I think it's because I always order the same thing, the Singapore Chicken and it's always delicious and tasty. I remember now sampling the Bourbon Chicken or Orange Chicken they were pretty bland as some of the reviews have said. But the Singapore Chicken, the Steak and buttered Shrimp are all good and usually spot on.

DO NOT APPRECIATE HAIR IN MY FOOD AND REFUSAL OF A REFUND. I had to drive there to tell them because there was no number to call and then they tried to say I was lying about the jet black hair I DO NOT have.

It's pretty pathetic if the Atmosphere is better than the food and the service! The counter girl was so stinking Rude! She was texting on her phone the whole time trying to get our order and fighting with someone on the other end. So I asked the gentleman to help us and he clearly said NO. So we had to deal with this kook. Really unbelievable. I thought I was on Candid Camera she was so Rude. And the food you ask? Ugh No taste. Nothing special. The smallest egg rolls I've ever seen. Even my fortune 🥠 cookies weren't good. And she was skimpy on them. Just not worth the ride , the trouble, the money , my sanity or a hole in my tummy. I'll pay more for better service and delicious food. Don't bother!
