About China Wok (next to neighborhood Walmart)

Welcome to China Wok, a Chinese restaurant conveniently located at 2150 Tamiami Trail #11 in Port Charlotte, Florida, situated next to a neighborhood Walmart. As a local establishment in the Chinese restaurant category, China Wok aims to serve a variety of Chinese dishes to the Port Charlotte community. This introduction is based on recent online customer reviews to provide local users with an objective overview of potential experiences at this restaurant.

China Wok can be contacted directly at (941) 629-8099 or via their mobile phone number, +1 941-629-8099. These contact details can be used to inquire about their menu, place orders for takeout or delivery (if available), confirm their operating hours, or address any specific questions.

The recent customer feedback for China Wok raises significant concerns regarding food safety and consistency. One alarming review reports a severe incident of potential food poisoning, stating that the reviewer, along with two of their children and spouse, all experienced severe vomiting within one to two hours after eating food from China Wok. The reviewer expressed disappointment, noting that they had eaten at the restaurant in the past without any issues. This serious accusation of food poisoning should be a significant consideration for potential customers.

Another review highlights issues with inconsistent food quality and portion sizes between different orders. The first time this customer ordered, they found the spring rolls to be of normal size and the wonton soup satisfactory. However, on a subsequent order, the spring rolls were described as being "each the size of a child's finger," indicating a drastic reduction in size. Additionally, the wonton soup was reported to have "zero flavor." Due to this negative experience of inconsistency, the reviewer stated they "will not go back" to China Wok.

Regarding the environment of China Wok, neither of the provided reviews offers any information about the restaurant's ambiance or decor. Customers focused solely on their experiences with the food itself. Therefore, based on the available information, we cannot provide a description of the dining environment.

In terms of services, the reviews imply that China Wok offers takeout, as customers placed orders to eat. There is no explicit mention of dine-in or delivery services in the provided feedback. The service experience itself is not directly addressed, with the focus being entirely on the quality and safety of the food.

The features of China Wok would typically include its menu of Chinese cuisine. While specific dishes are not praised in the recent reviews, the first reviewer mentioned having eaten there in the past without issues, suggesting that they likely offer a standard range of Chinese food options. However, the severe food poisoning accusation and the report of inconsistent quality and portion sizes overshadow any potential positive features. The fact that the restaurant is located "next to neighborhood Walmart" is a geographical descriptor but not a feature related to the food or service itself.

Based on the limited and concerning information, there is no mention of any promotional offers or discounts currently being advertised by China Wok. Local users would likely prioritize food safety and quality over any potential promotions, given the serious allegations made in the reviews.

In conclusion, the recent online reviews for China Wok (next to neighborhood Walmart) in Port Charlotte, FL, raise significant red flags for potential customers. The serious accusation of food poisoning affecting an entire family is a major concern. Additionally, a report of inconsistent food quality and drastically reduced portion sizes on subsequent orders further detracts from a positive image. While past experiences might have been better for some, the recent feedback suggests a potential decline in standards. Local users should exercise extreme caution and carefully consider these recent negative experiences before choosing to order from China Wok.

As a local resident of Port Charlotte, if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant, the recent feedback for China Wok is deeply concerning. The allegation of food poisoning affecting multiple family members is a serious matter that should not be taken lightly. The report of inconsistent food quality and portion sizes also indicates a lack of reliability. Given this negative recent feedback, it would be highly advisable to thoroughly research other Chinese dining options in the Port Charlotte area that have received more positive and consistent reviews regarding food safety and quality. Prioritizing the health and well-being of yourself and your family should be paramount when choosing where to eat. It would be prudent to avoid China Wok based on the serious issues raised in these recent customer experiences.

Food poisoning! Don’t do it! Me, two of my children and wife all began severally vomiting within one to two hours of eating from here. Shame to because we have eaten here in the past and had no issues.

First time I ordered was ok, normal sized spring rolls and won ton soup. The next time the spring rolls were each the size of child's finger and the soup had zero flavor. Will not go back.

Very quick , close to home. Loved their Lomein , orange chicken was great. Bourbon chicken tasted good too, but still not the bourbon sauce I’m used to.

The egg rolls are pretty good and wonton soup is good. I purchased two dinners. The pork egg foo was ok but fried rice with dinner bland. The Szechuan pork was not spicy at all and the pork was rancid. Totally nasty. One of the worst meals I have got from there.

I had the Lg House Special with Lo Mein Noodles, the portion was large, and the food was hot and fresh.
