About China Villa Restaurant
Welcome to China Villa Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant located at 891-A Island Dr, Alameda, CA 94502, USA. As a Chinese restaurant within the platform category, China Villa Restaurant provides local users with a diverse menu of Chinese cuisine, offering both the convenience of takeout and a potentially enjoyable dine-in experience. You can contact them at (510) 521-1911 or their mobile number +1 510-521-1911 for orders or reservations.
Based on customer feedback, China Villa Restaurant offers a notable dine-in environment. One customer who initially opted for takeout expressed regret at not dining in, describing the decor as "really nice" and contributing to a "great atmosphere." This suggests that China Villa Restaurant has invested in creating a pleasant and aesthetically appealing space for its dine-in guests, making it a potential choice for those seeking a more immersive dining experience. The restaurant also boasts a view of the water, adding another attractive element to its ambiance. However, it's worth noting that the location might be somewhat "hidden" and could initially appear closed upon approach, so local users should be aware of this when planning a visit.
In terms of services, China Villa Restaurant offers both takeout and dine-in options, catering to different customer preferences. The positive feedback on the takeout order, with mentions of freshly made pot stickers, indicates that they maintain quality even for off-site consumption. The customer's intention to dine in on their next visit further underscores the appeal of the restaurant's dine-in service. However, one concerning review detailed a negative experience with a takeout order of Szechuan beef, which was described as overly salty and sour, a significant departure from the dish's usual quality. The customer also reported unsatisfactory handling of the complaint, with a reluctant offer to rectify the order. This suggests a potential inconsistency in food preparation and customer service responsiveness in certain situations.
China Villa Restaurant's menu appears to be varied, as indicated by the range of dishes ordered by one satisfied customer. These included beef chow mein (described as delicious), sweet and sour chicken (well-received by children), pot stickers (noted as freshly made), orange chicken (good but a bit spicy for kids), crab rangoons (positive feedback), sesame balls (good), and the standard white rice. Additionally, one order unexpectedly included a soup that was also well-received, suggesting potential complimentary additions or a diverse menu with soup options. The mention of "standard Szechuan beef" in another review indicates that the restaurant offers Szechuan-style dishes, which are typically known for being flavorful and often spicy.
While specific promotional information is not provided in the reviews, it is common for restaurants to offer lunch specials, family deals, or seasonal promotions. Local users interested in such offers should consider contacting China Villa Restaurant directly at (510) 521-1911 or +1 510-521-1911 or checking if they have any online presence, such as a website or social media pages, where promotions might be advertised.
In summary, China Villa Restaurant in Alameda offers a Chinese dining experience with the convenience of takeout and the appeal of a nicely decorated dine-in area with a water view. While one customer lauded the delicious food and pleasant atmosphere, another reported a significant issue with the quality of a specific dish and the subsequent customer service. This suggests that while China Villa generally provides good food and a welcoming ambiance, there might be inconsistencies in food preparation and service handling that prospective customers should be aware of. For those looking for a Chinese restaurant with a pleasant dine-in setting and a varied menu, China Villa is worth considering, but it might be prudent to inquire about the consistency of their dishes and their customer service policies. To get the most up-to-date information on their menu and any potential promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

We got take out, but I wish we would have eaten there. The decor was really nice, creating a great atmosphere. We'll definitely dine in next time. Food was delicious, here's what we ordered: Beef chow meins- delicious Sweet and Sour chicken-👍kids liked this better than the Orange chicken. Pot stickers-👍 looked freshly made Orange chicken- a bit spicy for the kids, but still really good. Crab rangoons-👍 Sesame balls- good White rice - it is what it is. One of our plates came with a soup not sure what it was, but it was also good. I The place is pretty hidden, it even appears to look closed as you approach it. But it's not and has a view of the water. Give it a try.🙂
Ordered my standard Szechuan beef tonight. It's usually pretty good. Sweet and a bit spicy. It's been a goto for years. Whoever made it tonight ruined it. It was salty and sour. Chinese restaurants don't usually care if you're happy. When i called the woman barely offered to make it right. It cost 50 bucks so i want it remade and redelivered. I'm minutes away. While i wait I'm feeling nausea. My wife isn't feeling great either. You're always better off cooking at home. Save yourself the tums.
The first thing I liked about China Villa was the location. Right by the water it was just soothing. Next was their Chinese decoration. It brings out a calm earthy atmosphere. Then the food and the price. The food was delicious. The veggies were perfectly cooked not soggy or hard just firm and delicious perfectly seasoned. And for all that dining experience surprisingly they kept the price reasonable.
Ordered dine in dinner and I got the Beef Chow Fun and Mongolian Lamb and some sake for my husband. It was fantastic, super delicious and the mongolian lamb was so flavorful and a good amount of spicy. Dine in wasn't too busy since it was Mother's Day, but a lot of people were getting to-go orders. The workers were kind and there were great views from the dining room, even the decorations in the whole restaurant were beautiful. All around 10/10, so happy we tried this place out!
Stopped by for lunch with a friend. Got a couple lunch specials and a table by the water. Food is yummy and reasonably priced.
