About China Town

Welcome to China Town Restaurant, a Chinese eatery located at 1909 N Main St, Rushville, IN 46173, USA. Operating under the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant," China Town primarily serves the local community with a focus on takeout orders, although limited dine-in seating is available. They can be contacted at (765) 932-3001 or +1 765-932-3001 for placing orders and inquiries.

Based on the available customer reviews, China Town Restaurant presents a somewhat mixed picture. One recent customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their order, describing it as "garbage." This reviewer specifically criticized the General Tso's chicken for tasting like ketchup, suggesting a potential issue with the sauce preparation or ingredients. They also noted that the Mongolian beef and broccoli lacked broccoli and was unexpectedly spicy. Furthermore, they found the peas in their pork fried rice to be hard and the overall dish to be bland and old, considering the apparent lack of business at the time of their order. This feedback raises concerns about the freshness and quality of some of the dishes.

In contrast, another customer had a more positive experience, highlighting that while there are "a couple of tables," the restaurant is "really set up mostly for to-go orders." This suggests that the primary service model of China Town is indeed takeout. This reviewer found the food to be "quite good" and noted that it took "a little while" to prepare because it was made while they waited, implying a commitment to preparing food fresh upon order. They also praised the service as "fast and accurate" and mentioned that the portions were "quite large," which could be a significant advantage for customers looking for value.

The second reviewer's only complaint was about the "stale" fortune cookies, but they also acknowledged that "most people don't eat them anyway." Despite this minor issue, they concluded by stating, "I will definitely order from there again," indicating an overall positive impression of the food and service.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, it appears that the experience at China Town Restaurant can vary. While one customer reported significant issues with food quality and preparation, another found the food to be good, freshly prepared, and served in large portions. The emphasis on takeout service is evident in both reviews, with limited dine-in options available.

The environment of China Town Restaurant, based on the reviews, seems to be primarily geared towards efficient takeout service, with only a few tables available for dine-in customers. This suggests that the ambiance might be more functional than decorative, catering mainly to those picking up their orders. Customers looking for a more elaborate dine-in experience might find the setup less suitable.

The services offered by China Town Restaurant include primarily takeout, with the possibility of limited dine-in. The positive review mentioned "fast and accurate" service, suggesting efficiency in processing and fulfilling orders. The fact that food is prepared while the customer waits could be seen as a feature indicating a focus on freshness, although the negative review contradicts this to some extent. Customers can place orders by phone at the provided numbers.

Features of China Town Restaurant appear to include potentially freshly prepared food (as suggested by one review), large portion sizes, and a focus on takeout service. The menu likely includes standard Chinese-American fare, as indicated by the mention of General Tso's chicken, Mongolian beef, and pork fried rice. However, the inconsistency in the quality of these dishes, as highlighted by the negative review, is a point to consider.

Promotional information is not provided in the given text. Local users interested in any special offers, discounts, or new menu items at China Town Restaurant are advised to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers. It is also possible that they have a physical menu available at the restaurant or online through a third-party delivery platform if they utilize such services. Inquiring about daily specials or any ongoing promotions might be beneficial for potential customers.

In conclusion, China Town Restaurant in Rushville, Indiana, is a Chinese establishment that primarily focuses on takeout service, with limited dine-in options. Reviews suggest a potential inconsistency in food quality, with one customer reporting significant issues with freshness and taste, while another praised the food as good, freshly prepared, and served in large portions. The service for takeout was described as fast and accurate. Local users considering China Town should be aware of these differing experiences and might want to inquire about the preparation of specific dishes when placing their orders. For any promotional information or a detailed menu, direct contact with the restaurant is recommended.

As a "Chinese Restaurant" primarily serving the takeout market, China Town caters to individuals and families looking for convenient Chinese cuisine to enjoy at home. The mention of large portion sizes in a positive review suggests good value in terms of quantity. However, the concerns raised about the quality and freshness of certain dishes in another review indicate a potential risk. Local users might want to consider ordering dishes that have received positive mentions or inquire about the preparation methods to ensure satisfaction.

For local residents of Rushville, Indiana, seeking a Chinese takeout option, China Town presents itself as a possibility. The convenience of phone ordering and the potential for freshly prepared, large-portion meals are attractive aspects. However, the reported issues with the taste and freshness of some dishes should also be taken into account. It might be prudent for first-time customers to try a smaller order or inquire about the preparation of their chosen items based on the recent feedback.

In summary, China Town Restaurant offers Chinese cuisine with a strong emphasis on takeout in Rushville, Indiana. While one customer praised the food and service, another reported significant quality issues. Local users should consider these contrasting experiences and perhaps contact the restaurant directly for more information about their current menu and preparation practices. Any promotional offers would also need to be obtained directly from the establishment.

Since when does General Tso's chicken taste like ketchup I honestly think if they would freshen up their food and make it fresh I spent $40 on garbage that I will never eat Mongolian beef and broccoli I didn't even get no broccoli since when is it spicy and the peas in my pork fried rice was hard it shouldn't have been so Bland and old with the business that they had

There are a couple of tables, but they're really set up mostly for to-go orders. The food was quite good and took a little while because they prepared it while I waited. The service was fast and accurate. The portions were quite large. My only complaint was that the fortune cookies were stale, but most people don't eat them anyway, I guess. I will definitely order from there again.
