About China Town

China Town is a Chinese restaurant located at 306 North Main Street in Barre, Vermont. As a local Chinese Restaurant, China Town serves the community with a variety of Chinese culinary offerings, providing both takeout and likely dine-in options. They can be contacted at (802) 479-1999 or their mobile number +1 802-479-1999.

Based on the available customer reviews, China Town appears to be a popular choice for local Chinese food, with a reputation for good food and efficient service, particularly for takeout. One customer who ordered takeout in the afternoon noted that their food was prepared and ready "fairly quickly," indicating prompt service for those looking to grab a meal on the go. While this reviewer felt that the food "could have used a little bit more flavor," they also highlighted the value of a specific item, mentioning getting "10 rangoons for 7 bucks," which they considered a good deal, leading them to not complain "too much" about the flavor. This suggests that China Town offers some dishes at competitive prices, which might be a significant draw for budget-conscious customers.

The same reviewer also commented on a specific dish, a beef dish labeled as spicy, which they found to be "absolutely was not" spicy. Despite this discrepancy in the spice level, they still considered the dish to be "not bad," but expressed a preference for "a little kick." This indicates that while the flavor profile might not always align with expectations based on the menu description, the overall quality is still acceptable to some customers.

Another reviewer offered a more straightforward and highly positive assessment, stating, "The food is really good. I go there all the time." This simple yet powerful testimonial from a regular customer speaks volumes about the consistent quality and satisfaction that China Town provides to its loyal patrons. The fact that someone "goes there all the time" suggests a reliable and enjoyable dining experience.

Adding a unique aspect to China Town's appeal, another reviewer mentioned, "Out of all the chinese restaurants that I have visited in Vermont , this is the only one that makes the dish that I like the most." This is a significant statement, implying that China Town offers a particular dish, or perhaps a unique preparation of a common dish, that sets it apart from other Chinese restaurants in the state and caters to specific customer preferences that are not met elsewhere. This could be a major draw for individuals seeking that particular culinary item.

The reviews provide limited information about the environment of China Town. The focus is primarily on the food quality, value, and service speed for takeout. The mention of regular customers implies that dine-in service is likely available, and the fact that someone has visited multiple Chinese restaurants in Vermont suggests that China Town is a physical establishment where one can dine. However, there are no specific descriptions of the restaurant's decor, ambiance, or seating arrangements available in these reviews.

In terms of services, China Town clearly offers takeout, with at least one reviewer utilizing this option and noting the quick preparation time. The presence of regular customers strongly suggests that dine-in service is also a significant part of their business. It is reasonable to assume that standard Chinese restaurant services are provided, such as a menu with a variety of dishes, ordering at a counter or table, and payment options. However, specific details about additional services like delivery, online ordering, or catering are not mentioned in the provided reviews.

The reviews do not contain any information about current promotional offers or special features of China Town, aside from the potential uniqueness of a specific dish that attracts a particular customer. The value of the crab rangoons mentioned by one reviewer could be considered a point of value, but it is not explicitly presented as a promotion. The primary features highlighted are the good food, quick takeout service, and the possibility of finding unique dishes not offered at other Chinese restaurants in Vermont.

In summary, China Town in Barre, VT, appears to be a well-regarded local Chinese restaurant known for its good food and efficient takeout service. It offers some dishes at competitive prices, such as the crab rangoons mentioned in one review. While some customers might find the flavor profiles of certain dishes could be more intense or align better with menu descriptions regarding spice levels, the overall quality is generally considered good, with one reviewer being a loyal, frequent customer. A significant feature is the possibility of China Town offering a unique dish that is a favorite among at least one customer and not found elsewhere in Vermont. For local users in Barre seeking a reliable Chinese restaurant with quick takeout and potentially unique culinary offerings, China Town is worth considering.

I ordered take out in the afternoon, got my food fairly quickly. The food could have used a little bit more flavor, but I got 10 rangoons for 7 bucks so I'm not really complaining too much. The beef dish that I ordered was labeled spicy, but absolutely was not. Still not bad, but I would have liked a little kick

People working there are very rude. They have a bathroom in a public area, but have a sign on it. It will not share with paying customers. The food taste horrible, nothing Authentic No variety of drinks. Old tasting food. Could not believe how they treat their guests. Would not recommend at all. HORRIBLE

I had a long day of work and picked up food to bring home 40min drive. The food was $63 and I gave a generous tip. When I got home my dinner was not in the bag, even though it was on the receipt, and the white rice that was supposed to accomopny it was in the bag. I called and told them, and that I live too far away to drive back so asked for a refund on that portion of the bill. The young woman acted clueless and then got the owner who screamed at me in Chinese. I repeated myself slowly multiple times but she continued to scream at me unintelligibly and then hung up. We tried calling back multiple times and they wouldn't answer. We called from my boyfriends phone and they picked up, but realizing it was us, hung up again. If you order food from here CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE LEAVING. They will treat you horribly if there is an issue like you are lying. So disrespectful. Also, you should not be in business if you are unwilling to have customer service to correct a mistake you make. That's stealing.

The food is an upper good Asian restaurant. Definitely would return. They were not busy at all during my order. Eggrolls were very good, not greasy. The sauces were not over Americanized and saucy/sweet. I have to recommend this restaurant. As always, please smash the "Like" button if you enjoyed this review. Thank you.
