Not the best Chinese food, but they are cheap and quick, and the portion is rather large. The lunch specials is especially a good deal, less than $8, and that comes with either fried rice or steamed white rice. No dine-in available so takeout only, but there are public benches right across the street.
I would have given it a 5 star. Have you ever ordered the shrimp with rice. Then they only give you two small cocktail containers for 15 shrimps.....I have added pictures. I think the container with the cold slaw should use the shrimp cocktail....Tell me what you think. I have asked about this several times, and all she says it come like that already.
if I could give negative stars I would. i am a new to dc and was VERY excited to try this “carry out” would not go again. food was terrible, it tasted old. fries were very soggy. the “mumbo” sauce and all the other sauces come in a plastic bag! not a container not a package but she squirts the sauce into a plastic bag!!! the lady also has terrible customer service.last but not least the establishment was overall dirty. I believe I saw bugs running across the counter. idk what i expected but it was not this! smh stay away you guys they are terrible!!!!
To be honest I was skeptical of the high recommended reviews this restaurant was receiving based on buying into the hype before with high recommendations google reviews on other carryouts restaurants in the area an was let down with the food sadly so I decided to give this restaurant a try as well an boy o boy was i totally surprised I ordered two lunch specials of szechuan beef & beef with broccoli which only came up to $15 an some change which was a bargain of a price for both meals the portions were plentiful for a lunch special where most other carryouts lunch specials are usually smaller and more expensive the food itself was very delicious the beef was cooked very well not undercooked or tough to chew the vegetables & fried rice were also flavorful and made fresh I was very pleased I wasn't bamboozled again by Google reviews the high recommendations were spot on this time I will definitely be back again to order from this restaurant
This is some seriously good Ameri-Chinese food. Fresh, flavorful, great portions—all for a respectable price. Yes, it’s carry-out only. Assuming that’s why they’re able to keep the prices so low. But I loved swinging by here on my way home because the family who owns the place are so, so sweet.
