About China Super Buffet

China Super Buffet, located at 12057 Beach Blvd in Stanton, California, operates as a Chinese Restaurant offering a buffet-style dining experience. With a reported price of around $15 per person (and potentially cheaper rates for elderly customers and children), it positions itself as an affordable option for those seeking a large quantity of food.

However, customer reviews present a mixed picture, with significant concerns raised about food quality and cleanliness. One long-term customer of over 10 years suggests that the best days to visit are weekends, noting that weekday food can often be cold and stale, with instances of unpleasant odors in dishes like spicy chicken and fried rice. This reviewer also mentioned a lack of attentiveness from waitresses regarding refills and a perceived focus on tips.

Another detailed review describes China Super Buffet as the "McDonald's of buffets," advising those seeking good food and cleanliness to look elsewhere. While acknowledging the low price point for a large amount of "edible food," this reviewer still hesitates to recommend it due to cleanliness issues, including mold on some tables and a dead baby cockroach found on the food countertops. They also advise checking plates for cleanliness before use.

In terms of food, the buffet offers limited options. Some positive mentions include fried green beans, sriracha chicken, dumplings (compared to a frozen grocery store brand), clams, and broccoli stir fry. On the negative side, customers are advised to avoid the sushi due to potential stomach issues. Other concerns include mushy fruit, fried rice described as basic, lukewarm chow mein, and poorly prepared fish. Desserts are noted for being dry, and many items are described as soggy, overly salty, oily, or potentially contaminated.

While one reviewer admits a sentimental bias towards the restaurant due to its longevity, the overall consensus suggests that China Super Buffet prioritizes affordability and quantity over high food quality and cleanliness. Local users considering this Chinese Restaurant should weigh the low cost against the reported issues with the dining experience.

I been going here for more than 10 years, best days to go is weekends!! During the week food is cold and stale! Spicy chicken had bad odor and fried rice as well! I Told the one in charged but didnt understand me and didnt care. Waitresses dont pay attention to you and wont give you refills and if you ask they get mad, seems all they care about is about tips. Overall like i said weekends are best to go!!

TLDR: I have been here for 10 years. This is like the McDonald's of buffets. If you're looking for good food and cleanliness, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a good deal for a bunch of edible food and you don't care about anything else, I still wouldn't suggest this place, but maybe it'll suit your tastes. PRICE: $15 per person, but can be cheaper for elderly and kids below a certain age SERVICE: They are all very sweet people. Polite and endearing to me. The only thing I will say that was questionable is that they once gave me a lollipop some time ago and, once in the car, found out that it had already expired. CLEANLINESS: Some tables have mold. You can see it growing and festering there for months. Oh, and the food countertops had a dead baby cockroach just laying there. I tried to discreetly take pictures of them. Either way, I don't think many people care about that here, considering how cheap the food is. Some 'clean' plates are dirty and blatantly, so (it will be obvious), so just check the plate before you take it. FOOD (POSITIVES): I mean, I enjoyed it, especially for the price. Very limited options, though. I recommend: fried green beans, siracha chicken, dumplings (tastes like the ones from Walmart frozen aisle but properly melted), clams, and broccoli stir fry. FOOD (NEGATIVES): First off, don't eat the sushi here. You'll get a stomach ache. Fruits can be mushy some days, others not. Fried rice is just rice mixed with melted frozen veggie bits, and chow mein is just lukewarm, boiled noodles with some bits of boiled cabbage. The white fish they serve is just a baked fish, and the other fried fish they serve is okay, just pan-fried but salty with little fish meat and more bone. Deserts taste dry, like battered cake powder. Everything else is either soggy, contaminated with some dead bug, ridiculously salty, really oily, or all of the above. OVERALL: I admittedly am biased for this place because of its sentimental value. If you're looking for a good meal, not a good place here. But if you're just looking to stuff yourself with more food at a cheap price and you don't mind the sometimes less than subpar food and dead bugs and mold littering the nooks and crannies (or even in plain sight), then go for it.

Came here to eat for lunch and it was very disappointing. The food is very poor quality seems like the food been out for a while. There was flies which messed up my appetite. The restroom smelt so disgusting and unsanitary the whole place in general. The carpets are dirty. My kids didn’t eat their food all they ate were wings. The price is very high for the quality of food, I regret coming here. My kids were so mad I took them here. The workers are rude one pass by me and said a bunch of things in her language to me no one was around to think otherwise. Wish I could give 0 ZERO STARS

Maybe they’ve changes the chef , the flavors not good like the foods used to be. Sunday 11/12 we have the dinner okay. Saturday 11/26 we have lunch soup different, sushi flavors old, salads no good. Only fry chicken the best. 1 & 2 pictures we have dinner before. 3&4 the pictures we have lunch 11/26.

The food was delicious, but it likely wasn't prepared in the most sanitary conditions. The service was extremely rude; we were pressured to pay the bill even though we hadn't finished eating. We waited for 30 minutes to ask for a refill and eventually had to get it ourselves. The server seemed upset that we didn’t tip her, despite not having done anything to serve us. When we went to pay at the front desk, she brought us the bill (a small sheet of paper) that we had left on the table then she rolled her eyes and angrily said, 'For them.' And At 9 PM, all the staff rushed out of the kitchen to quickly load the food onto a push cart
