About China Star Chinese restaurant

Welcome to China Star Chinese restaurant, a local establishment serving Chinese cuisine at 196 N Martin Luther King Blvd, Lexington, KY 40507, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category in Lexington, China Star aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to its customers. They can be contacted at (859) 258-9040 or their mobile number +1 859-258-9040 for inquiries or to place an order for dine-in, takeout, or potentially delivery.

Based on the limited recent customer reviews available, there appears to be a stark contrast in the experiences reported by diners. One review offers high praise for the food quality, while another details a significantly negative encounter with their delivery service. It is important for potential customers to consider both perspectives when evaluating China Star Chinese restaurant.

One customer described the physical location of the restaurant as being in a "dinky little building" but strongly recommended trying it, stating that they serve "excellent food." This suggests that despite potentially modest surroundings, the quality of the cuisine itself may be a significant draw for patrons who choose to dine in or perhaps order takeout. This positive feedback indicates that China Star might offer well-prepared and flavorful dishes that are appreciated by some customers.

However, another customer reported a very negative experience specifically with the delivery service. According to their review, the delivery took an excessively long time. Upon arrival, the order was incorrect, necessitating a second trip to bring the right food. Unfortunately, the replacement food received was described as having "burnt rice" to the point of being inedible. This customer stated that their lunch cost $40, which they considered expensive for food that ultimately could not be eaten. They also mentioned returning all the food because it was not edible. This experience highlights significant issues with the delivery service, including order accuracy, delivery time, and food preparation quality, at least on one occasion.

The contrasting nature of these two reviews makes it challenging to form a definitive overall assessment of China Star Chinese restaurant. The positive review suggests that the food itself can be of excellent quality, potentially indicating a strength in their kitchen. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the reliability and quality of their delivery service, as well as the potential for significant errors in order fulfillment and food preparation.

There is no information provided in these reviews about the environment of the restaurant itself. The positive review only mentions the building being "dinky little," which doesn't offer much detail about the interior ambiance or cleanliness. Potential dine-in customers would need to visit the location or perhaps inquire over the phone to get a better understanding of the dining environment.

Regarding services, it is clear that China Star Chinese restaurant offers both dine-in and delivery options, and likely takeout as well, given the nature of Chinese restaurants. However, the reliability of their delivery service seems to be a point of concern based on the negative review. The positive review does not mention the service aspect, focusing solely on the food quality.

There are no specific features of China Star Chinese restaurant highlighted in these reviews, beyond the potential for "excellent food" as mentioned by one customer. No signature dishes, unique preparation styles, or special ingredients are described. Similarly, there is no information provided about any promotional offers or specials that China Star might be currently running.

In conclusion, China Star Chinese restaurant in Lexington, KY, presents a mixed picture based on the limited recent customer feedback. One customer praised the "excellent food," suggesting a potential strength in their cuisine. However, another customer reported a very negative experience with their delivery service, citing long wait times, an incorrect order, and ultimately inedible burnt rice. Potential local users should weigh these contrasting experiences when considering China Star. If you are planning to dine in or order takeout, the positive review might be more relevant, suggesting the possibility of enjoying high-quality food. However, if you are considering delivery, the negative review serves as a cautionary tale about potential issues with the service and food preparation for delivered orders. Without more information or a greater number of reviews, it is difficult to provide a more comprehensive and balanced introduction. It may be wise for prospective customers to consider these points and perhaps try the restaurant themselves, starting with a dine-in or takeout order, to form their own opinion.

I didn't go to the restaurant but I got delivery and it took forever and they finally made it here with the wrong food and they had to bring me the right food but it was burnt rice you could not eat it it was the worst lunch ever for 40$ and that was expensive for burnt food and they took back the food so I give it all back because it was not edible.

I live very close so I've eaten here many times out of pure convenience. You can taste the mildew in their broccoli. If you ask for spicy or super spicy it will be zero spicy. Any dish other than general tso chicken is really really bad, like completely unseasoned. Their "crispy noodles" are not noodles. Their szechuan sauce tastes like plain corn starch. Crab rangoons are ok sometimes but often empty. Their chow mein is not chow mein, it's purely just vegetables and slimy bland chicken. The lady is rude. Hope they go out of business soon.

If you want Chinese don't go here. Spent $14 on fries just because I didn't have any at home. Ice cold and I just live right up the street. Wouldn't bring fresh ones back. Oh it was $16 including tip.
