Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at China Star appear to be mixed. One customer described their meal as "absolutely delicious," highlighting the freshness and steaminess of the food. However, another customer reported a very negative experience, stating they would "never go back there again." This reviewer described the sesame seed chicken as old with little to no sauce that tasted of refrigerator burn. They also found the rice to be overcooked and hard, suggesting a mix of old and new rice. Additionally, the Loma noodles were described as overcooked and mushy. This customer also noted a discrepancy in the quoted and actual wait time for their order.

I will never go back there again. The food was terrible. My sesame seed chicken. You can tell it was old, no sauce or what was on it was from a old batch,it tasted refrigerator burnet and my rice was overcooked and also hard at the same time, like they added new and old together. The Loma noodles I got from my daughter were overcooked and mushed. I was told 20-30 minutes and turn out 45 minutes.

I am not a picky eater whatsoever. I eat EVERYTHING without bi****ng, just as I’ve finished all the variety of food out of the take out boxes from this place that my girlfriend picked up for us for dinner, but I’m sorry (not). The only reason I’m even ranking this place with 2 ⭐️s is because I have enjoyed having dinner with my girlfriend and her company after a tough day at work. 👎

As I sit here by the lake eating my leftovers from last night, the deliciousness prompted me to leave this review. First of all- let me say that myself and entire family LOVE eating here. Never have a i ever had bad food or bad service. I almost ALWAYS get beef n broccoli 🥦. Yesterday my son and myself got 2 large beef and broccoli and it costed $31. We had full plates last night for dinner and still had enough for two medium sized plates leftover for lunch today. I just ate one and still have a decent sized amount left for later. They have NEVER messed my food up- They've never sold me anything bad- It's always delicious- 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Id give it 100 stars if I could ❤️ Thank you to the staff- they could NEVER make me hate you 😊

First of all, shame on Google for forcing reviewers to assign a star. This place deserved a negative star rating. My wife and I were tired after a long day at work. We just wanted to go some place and dine in with a fast meal. We saw on Google this place closed at 10pm so we went there. This was our second attempt to eat there, we went the previous evening arriving a 9:40pm to be told they were closed, even though their open sign was on and the door was unlocked. We accepted we were "Sort of" late getting there and left. On this visit we arrived at 9:05pm and were greeted by a guy standing behind plexiglass. I get it with Covid and all. He asked what we wanted and we ordered and had a seat. About 10-minutes later he said from behind the plexiglass our order was ready, in a paper bag!!!! (We stupidly thought he would bring our food to us). My wife asked for forks, chopsticks and plates and was told they were closing and we would have to leave! At 9:15pm. 9:15pm when everything said 10pm close. So we took our paper bag and went home. My wife and I ordered two completely different dishes with her ordering shrimp and rice and me ordering pork lo mien. Both meals tasted alike, I mean no difference in taste at all. On top of that, both meals were a dark orange color, the rice and the noodles. It took us less than 10-minutes to get home so both meals should have been hot. NOPE! Both meals were lukewarm and the wonton soup was room temperature at best. This has to be the absolute worst place to eat in Crestview, hands down. Please do the good folks of Crestview a favor and close for good!
