About CHINA SEA

Welcome to CHINA SEA, a Chinese restaurant located at 909 3rd Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066, USA. As a Chinese restaurant serving the New Brighton area, CHINA SEA offers a variety of dishes for local customers. Based on recent online reviews, customer experiences appear to be mixed, with some highlighting positive aspects while others express significant concerns.

One customer reported receiving food that was undercooked and greasy. This individual found it necessary to further cook the food in an air fryer for approximately 15 minutes before it was palatable. This reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with having to take this extra step, suggesting a lack of attention to proper cooking by the restaurant and a lack of respect for customers. The absence of utensils with food meant to be eaten with them was also noted as an inconvenience, with the customer humorously stating a preference for utensils over a fortune cookie.

Adding to this negative experience, the same customer reported a suspicious upcharge on their credit card days after the order. While they speculated it might have been related to a tip, the delayed nature of the charge raised concerns about potential discrepancies in billing practices. This is a serious issue that can significantly impact customer trust and satisfaction.

In contrast, another reviewer offered a more positive, albeit nuanced, perspective. They stated that the "Food is good" and specifically praised the "homemade tea" as being "great." This suggests that CHINA SEA has some menu items that are well-received by customers.

However, this second reviewer also noted a potential issue with the egg rolls, stating that they are "getting smaller" and "almost aren't worth the money." This indicates a possible decline in the size or value of a popular appetizer, which could be disappointing for regular patrons. On a more positive note, this reviewer mentioned that "You get a decent amount of food for the money" overall, suggesting that the portion sizes for other dishes are satisfactory. Despite the concerns about the egg rolls, this customer concluded by saying, "I do recommend here," indicating a generally positive overall impression.

The environment of CHINA SEA is not explicitly described in the provided reviews. As a local Chinese restaurant, it likely offers a casual dining setting for those who choose to eat in, alongside its takeout services. Without further information, it is difficult to assess the ambiance or décor of the establishment.

The services offered by CHINA SEA include both dine-in and takeout, as implied by the customer who took their food home and used an air fryer. The availability of a homemade tea suggests a unique beverage offering. However, the negative review regarding the lack of utensils indicates a potential oversight in their takeout service. The reported upcharge on a credit card also raises questions about their billing and payment processing services.

In terms of features, CHINA SEA offers a menu of Chinese cuisine, with some dishes being praised for their taste, such as the homemade tea. The portion sizes are generally considered decent for the price, although there is concern about the shrinking size and value of the egg rolls. The inconsistency in food preparation, as highlighted by the undercooked and greasy food report, is a significant concern. The alleged upcharging on a credit card is another serious issue that could deter potential customers.

Undercooked greasy but after it came out of the air fryer for about 15 minutes it was good but I shouldn't have to do that you should have more respect for your customers. There's no way you looked at that food and was like that's done. Can I please get a utensil with food that's meant to be eaten with utensils honestly I would take that over the fortune cookie. And for an update I woke up this morning to an alert on my credit card that they up charged my order. I'm thinking it was the tip but why would they do it days later making me suspicious

We ordered general tso chicken, fried rice and egg roll. The fried rice was awful. It had zero flavor or other ingredients. It was rice dyed yellow. No idea what happened to this place as it used to be a go to of ours. For over $55 dollars it was okay but that rice ☹️. Thankfully everything else was edible but I'll be tossing that rice because it has ZERO flavor.
