Customer reviews provide valuable insights into the dining experience at China Queen. One highly positive review enthusiastically describes the food as "freaking Amazing!!!" specifically praising the Black Pepper Chicken from the Luncheon Special. The customer highlighted the perfection of the cooking, the "divine" sauce, and the flavorful, crunchy peppers and onions. The rice was noted as "nice and fluffy cooked correctly," and the egg roll was described as "hot and crispy" with a "crunchy brown texture" that was "on point!" This customer's satisfaction was so high that they expressed willingness to drive 30 minutes for future orders and anticipated the same quality for their next meal, egg foo young. The friendly and chatty cashier also received positive mention, contributing to a pleasant service experience.

Conversely, another review, though brief, noted a negative change in management affecting the quality of the shrimp egg foo young, with the gravy smelling like soy sauce and the patty being "semi burned." This contrasting feedback suggests that while many customers have highly positive experiences with certain dishes and service aspects, there can be inconsistencies, potentially due to management changes or specific dish preparations. The overall sentiment leans towards positive experiences, particularly concerning the quality of the food when prepared to standard.

In summary, China Queen in St. Peters, MO, stands as a well-established Chinese restaurant offering a wide variety of dishes for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. While its environment is described as "no-frills," its strength appears to lie in the quality and taste of its food, as highlighted by numerous positive customer reviews, particularly for its Black Pepper Chicken and egg rolls. The restaurant provides convenient service options, including online ordering, and offers value through its Luncheon Specials and potential family meal deals. Prospective customers can expect a diverse menu and generally positive food quality, although some inconsistencies have been noted in specific instances.

The food is freaking Amazing!!!I ordered from the Luncheon Special. The black pepper chicken with an egg roll. My food is cooked to perfection ( literally). The sauce is divine, the peppers still have the flavor and crunch, the onion is crunchy and flavorful! I’ve never tasted such good Chinese food in my life until I stumbled across this fine place. The rice is nice and fluffy cooked correctly, The egg roll is hot and crispy. The crunchy brown texture is on point! It’s good! I ordered the egg foo young for lunch tomorrow. I’m sure it’s just as tasty. I will be driving 30 min to order . I wished they just add more peppers or dice them up to-add more crunchy stuff to the meal more of pepper chicken . Cashier was very chatty and friendly!

This place has changed and is terrible. Will not be going back anymore :( Good food but the egg rolls have gotten SUPER TINY. I guess it really cost a lot for them to add a little filling to them. They are the length of the sweet and sour sauce and the diameter of a nickel. Some photos for comparison. A 20oz soda bottle cap is about the same size. The pepper steak was grisly and tough. The chicken dishes are delicious and the rice is good. Crab Rangoon are good but there isn't much filling in them. I think the hot and sour soup is good but they give you a half a bag of crispy noodles for an entire quart. They charge for extra crispy noodles. Love most of the food but they should stop being so stingy with the things that barely cost anything.
