About China Pavilion (Chifa Lung Wha)

China Pavilion (Chifa Lung Wha), located at 10041 Pines Blvd Suite F, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024, USA, is a Chinese Restaurant that offers both Chinese food and dim sum. According to one long-time customer, while it might be among the better options in South Florida, those seeking truly authentic flavors may be disappointed. This reviewer noted that the service can be hit-or-miss and often slow, though the restaurant itself is clean and bright. They also found the dim sum to be below average and, with recent price increases, not worth the cost. Despite these drawbacks, their family continues to visit, largely out of tradition. They also mentioned that the restaurant is great for large groups but found some dishes to be too oily and salty. Parking can also be problematic, especially during busy times. However, they did specifically recommend the steamed oysters as consistently fresh and flavorful.

In contrast, another customer expressed love for the "real, no-frills, family-friendly vibe" of the place. They found the servers to be fast, polite, and efficient. This reviewer highlighted the crispy shrimp wraps and short ribs as particularly delicious, even mentioning the pineapple buns. While they gave the restaurant a 9/10 rating, the deduction was due to excessive corn starch in the beef with noodles and the pale color of the chicken. Overall, they found it worth the wait and expressed a strong desire to return.

Based on these reviews, China Pavilion (Chifa Lung Wha) presents a mixed experience. While some customers appreciate its family-friendly atmosphere and certain flavorful dishes, others have concerns about the authenticity, quality of dim sum, service speed, and potential issues with oily and salty food. The steamed oysters and crispy shrimp wraps appear to be popular choices. Potential customers should also be aware of possible parking difficulties during peak hours and recent price increases.

The Chinese food and dim sum at this restaurant are subpar—likely the best you’ll find in South Florida, but don’t expect authentic flavors if that’s what you’re craving. The service is hit-or-miss and often slow, though the restaurant is clean and bright. Dim sum is below average, and with recent price increases, it’s hard to justify the cost for what you get. My family has been coming here for years, but we mainly visit out of tradition, not for the food. It’s great for large groups, but overall, the dishes are a bit too oily and salty for my taste. Parking can also be a hassle, especially during peak hours. The one thing I love, though, is their steamed oysters—they're always fresh and flavorful.

I love this place—it’s got that real, no-frills, family-friendly vibe. The servers? Fast, polite, and on point. It’s simple, it’s chill, and yes, it’s worth the wait. But let’s talk about those crispy shrimp wrap thingies—so good, I’d consider writing them a love letter. And the short ribs? Let’s just say I left feeling like a well-fed piglet at a feast. 9/10 would waddle back again! It would be a 10/10, but I didn't like the heavy heapings of corn starch on the beef with noodles, and the chicken is too pale for this Afro-Jamaican lady‐-- I like my food with more color. Ooooh, and I almost forgot about the pineapple buns... sheesh! Let me stop writing before I want to drive back.

$6.50 for Tsing Tao beer, $5 for a wonton soup, $18.95 for a chicken curry. $32.58 for one dinner before tip. $38.44 for a bland meal. The best part was that the beer was ice cold. Congratulations you have a working fridge. The water in the tea tasted dirty.

Best dim sum place in the area by far. If you want to experience real Chinese food, this is the place to go. Come in the morning for Dim Sum but beware it's packed on the weekends so expect a wait. The dinner is great too. Prices are fair and good value for what you get. You'll know this place is legit because lots of Asians dine here. Been a regular here for years and expect to continue as long as they're in business. P.S. Expect the pineapple buns to be sold out unless you arrive at opening time which is 11am. If they're sold out, the golden lava bun is a good substitute.
