While the platform category is Chinese Restaurant, customer reviews offer insights into their service and food quality. One individual who was not even a dining customer recounted an exceptionally positive experience with the staff. Needing plasticware for a children's birthday party nearby, they approached China Pavilion for assistance. The staff not only provided the requested items but also refused any payment, including a tip, leading the reviewer to commend their "awesome" customer service and express intention to dine there in the future.

However, another review presents a different perspective, particularly concerning the suitability of the food for those accustomed to Indo-Chinese cuisine, stating that the taste is significantly different from regular Chinese food. This reviewer also found the staff unfriendly and unhelpful when asked questions. Furthermore, a specific vegetarian dish, vegetable tofu, was described as "really bad" with a chewy texture. This review concludes that China Pavilion is not recommended for vegetarians.

For local users in Orange, CT, China Pavilion is a Chinese restaurant that has received contrasting feedback. Their customer service has been praised in a non-dining context, while opinions on the food, especially vegetarian options, and the friendliness of the staff have been negative in at least one instance. Individuals with specific expectations regarding the style of Chinese cuisine or dietary preferences may want to consider these reviews.

First, I want to say that I haven't eaten at China Pavilion. I was however having a children's birthday party a couple of doors down. When it came time to cut the birthday cake and serve it to my guests I found that I did not have any forks. Without any other options I canvased the area and noticed that China Pavilion was close. I had to swallow my pride and walk in and ask if there was a way that I could purchase some plastic wear from them for my guests. I suggested even just leaving a tip. The gentleman at the front desk said that was unnecessary and asked me how many I needed. He would not take any money in return. I would say the service in this restaurant is awesome. And I definitely will be going to China Pavilion in the future for a meal. The customer service has to be amazing if they helped me out and I wasn't even a customer.

So many people recommended but Indian people will not like this place because we used to eat indo Chinese and the taste is totally different than the regular Chinese food. Moreover the staff was not friendly we asked few questions but they were not happy to answer the questions. We asked for vegetable tofu and it was really bad, tofu must be soft but it was soooo chewy. So overall Not a good recommended place if you are a vegetarian.

A gem in Orange. Great variety on the menu. HUGE portions, and very heavy on the proteins. They don't skimp! The restaurant has a bar, booths, and tables for seating. The atmosphere is a bit dated. The silverware is tarnished and worn. But the staff are pleasant and attentive! The menu has clearly labeled vegan options. The portions are huge, so the high prices of entrees is justified, especially where the ratio is like 80% proteins. It's a great restaurant. It could use some TLC but has a lot of potential.

I know this restaurant from many many years ago having grown up coming here. The staff were super friendly and the place was fairly busy. Our boneless spareribs were a combination of cold and lukewarm and not a lot of flavor. The Szechuan chicken and beef lacked the spice or heat, and the double lamb dish was very salty. The pork fried rice was awesome! Overall I do t think you will be disappointed at all and I would return.

SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED. We decided to splurge as China Pavilion’s pricing is close to double our regular place and their quality always exceeded expectations. Not at all this time. ☹️ our spring rolls ended up being shrimp rolls, the beef teriyaki was sliced so thin it was crispy & burnt, the generals chicken had no flavor and strange texture, barely any seafood in the hot & sour seafood soup, even the cookies were soft & stale. Our garbage can was happy. The only redeeming quality was the Fried Rice which maintained its consistent quality and taste. When we called to complain, they basically didn’t want to hear us. We won’t stray again from our regular place. Save yourself some time, aggregation and money - go elsewhere.
