About China Palace Restaurant
China Palace Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 9211 N Tryon St #11, Charlotte, NC 28262, USA, serving the local community within the Chinese Restaurant category. For those in the University City area of Charlotte seeking Chinese cuisine, China Palace Restaurant offers a menu that includes popular dishes such as chicken and broccoli, chicken wings, and General Tso's chicken. However, recent online reviews present a stark contrast in customer experiences, with one praising the food while another reports a severe case of food poisoning after dining at the establishment.
Information regarding the dine-in environment of China Palace Restaurant is not detailed in the provided reviews. The focus of the customer feedback is solely on the food quality and the impact it had on the reviewers. Therefore, local users interested in dining at the restaurant itself would need to contact China Palace Restaurant directly or visit their location to gather information about the ambiance and seating arrangements. The reviews available offer insights into the food quality as experienced through either takeout or delivery (implied in the context of the visitor being "in the area").
The services at China Palace Restaurant, based on the limited reviews, show a dichotomy. One reviewer, who was visiting the area and found it difficult to locate a well-reviewed Chinese restaurant, described the food from China Palace as "delicious" and noted a "good amount of food" received. This positive experience suggests that, at least on some occasions, China Palace provides satisfactory food quality and portion sizes. The order for this reviewer included a chicken and broccoli lunch special and chicken wings, both of which were apparently well-received.
However, the second review presents a very serious and concerning account. This customer claims to have experienced food poisoning after eating food from China Palace on a Monday. Their symptoms included diarrhea and vomiting, leading to a lack of energy and weakness that prevented them from working as a mechanic for a week. The reviewer also reported a loss of appetite for over 24 hours following the incident. The food items they ordered were General Tso's chicken and chicken wings, which they stated was the last thing they had eaten since the Monday they fell ill. This is a severe accusation that raises significant concerns about the restaurant's food safety and handling practices.
The features of China Palace Restaurant, based on these two contrasting reviews, are difficult to definitively assess. While they offer standard Chinese dishes like chicken and broccoli, chicken wings, and General Tso's chicken, the quality and safety of these items appear to be inconsistent. The positive review suggests that the food can be flavorful and provided in good portions. However, the serious allegation of food poisoning casts a long shadow over these positive aspects. It is impossible to reconcile these two vastly different experiences without further information or more reviews.
Neither of the provided reviews mentions any specific promotional information, such as discounts or special offers, at China Palace Restaurant. Local users would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about any current promotions or deals they might be offering.
In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for China Palace Restaurant in Charlotte, NC, offer a mixed and concerning picture. One reviewer found the food to be "delicious" with good portions, while another reported a severe case of food poisoning after consuming their food. This stark contrast highlights a potential inconsistency in food quality and safety standards at the establishment. Local users considering dining at China Palace Restaurant should be aware of these recent experiences. The serious claim of food poisoning, in particular, warrants significant caution. While one positive review exists, the potential health risks suggested by the other review cannot be ignored. It would be advisable for potential customers to seek more recent and a greater number of reviews to get a more comprehensive understanding of the current food quality and safety practices at China Palace Restaurant before making a decision to dine there.

In the area visiting and was hard to find a good Chinese restaurant based on reviews but the food here was delicious, good amount of food, had the chicken and broccoli lunch special and chicken wings
This shop gave me food poisoning Monday. I have been have diarrhea, vomiting. As well as not having energy and feeling weak. I’m a mechanic and for me not to be able to work hurts I enjoy my job. Now I’m out of work a week. I haven’t been able to eat it’s been over 24hrs and no appetite. I ordered a general tso and chicken wings. That was the last thing I’ve eat since monday
Ordered orange chicken and fried rice this time. The flavor of the chicken was good. You can taste the orange and the spice. The young lady working was nicer than other places I've been to and it was clean inside. The only con is that they like to feed you mostly rice. All 3 spaces on the to-go tray are filled with rice. Also, only one vegetable was found on my tray and that was broccoli. Maybe this is a Charlotte thing?
I ordered the General Tso's chicken. Portions were big, food was fresh and it was piping hot. This is also the first time I have ordered the General Tso's chicken that actually has some spiciness, all other places I've ordered it from has 0 spice. So I really enjoyed it. I dined in and was the only person in here. Not sure if this is normal as this is my first time eating here but it was nice to eat lunch in a quiet atmosphere. The price point is good also.
I ordered the "Orange Chicken" meal, and it was huge! I was amazed when they placed it on my table. For the price, there was quite a lot of food. At $15, it was a great value for my dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant; the atmosphere and service were incredible!
