About China Pagoda Restaurant

China Pagoda Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 323 N Chestnut St in Chaska, Minnesota. Currently operating as a takeout-only establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, it serves the local community with a variety of Chinese dishes. For orders or inquiries, China Pagoda Restaurant can be contacted at (952) 368-4882 or via their mobile number +1 952-368-4882.

Recent customer reviews present a somewhat varied perspective on China Pagoda Restaurant. One very positive review came from a pair of truckers who were passing through the area. They expressed high satisfaction with their experience, praising the lady who took their order as "awesome" and the food as "even better." They were so impressed that they vowed to return whenever they were in the vicinity and even humorously suggested the place deserved a 10-star rating, noting that they "devoured" their takeout in under five minutes due to its deliciousness.

In contrast, another reviewer expressed significant disappointment, primarily due to the restaurant remaining takeout-only since the COVID-19 pandemic. This customer speculated that the decision to remain takeout-only might be financially motivated. They also noted several changes, including the removal of the lunch special, an increase in prices, and a perceived decrease in food quality. This reviewer detailed their recent order, which included chicken chow mein with fried rice and sweet and sour pork. They found the pork to be "hard to chew," although they did acknowledge that the batter and sauce were good. The chicken chow mein was described as "really disappointing" with a watery sauce and tasteless chicken. The fried rice was simply labeled as "boring."

Despite their dissatisfaction with the food and the takeout-only status, this second reviewer did commend the staff, stating that they are "nice, and always has been." However, they expressed a desire for the restaurant to reconsider its pricing and reopen for dine-in service. They also mentioned that the recent decline in food quality might be an isolated incident, as their previous experiences had been generally better, though never exceptionally impressive. The consistent takeout-only service and fluctuating prices were cited as particularly off-putting factors for this customer, who also mentioned uploading pictures of recent menus to provide transparency on current pricing.

Considering these reviews, China Pagoda Restaurant presents a mixed image. On one hand, there are customers who have had highly positive experiences, particularly with the taste of the food and the friendliness of the service. On the other hand, there are concerns about the food quality in recent times, the decision to remain takeout-only, and changes in pricing and menu offerings (such as the removal of the lunch special). The consistent praise for the staff's niceness is a notable positive aspect that seems to be a constant across different customer experiences.

For local users in Chaska, MN, China Pagoda Restaurant currently operates solely as a takeout establishment. This means that there is no dine-in environment to consider. The service is reported to be friendly, which can enhance the takeout experience. However, potential customers should be aware of the recent concerns raised about the food quality of certain dishes, such as the chicken chow mein and sweet and sour pork, as well as the reported increase in prices and the absence of a lunch special.

The fact that one reviewer found the food so delicious that they "devoured" it quickly suggests that the restaurant is still capable of producing well-received dishes. However, the contrasting experience of another customer indicates a potential lack of consistency in food quality. The decision to remain takeout-only might be a significant factor for those who prefer to dine in at a Chinese restaurant.

The uploaded menu pictures, as mentioned by one reviewer, could be a valuable resource for local users to see the current pricing and available dishes. This proactive step by a customer highlights the need for potential patrons to be aware of the recent changes in the restaurant's offerings and prices.

In summary, China Pagoda Restaurant in Chaska, MN, is currently a takeout-only Chinese restaurant. While some customers have had very positive experiences with the food and service, recent feedback also indicates concerns about declining food quality in certain dishes, increased prices, and the removal of the lunch special. The staff is consistently described as nice. For local users, the decision to order from China Pagoda might depend on their preference for takeout versus dine-in, their sensitivity to price changes, and their willingness to try the food based on the mixed recent reviews. It would be advisable to consult the most recent menu (potentially the pictures uploaded by a reviewer) to understand the current offerings and pricing.

Given the conflicting recent experiences, it is difficult to definitively assess the current state of China Pagoda Restaurant. The strong positive feedback from one customer suggests that good food is still possible, while the detailed negative feedback from another indicates potential issues with consistency and overall quality. The friendly staff seems to be a reliable aspect of the service. As there is no dine-in option currently, the environment is not a factor for consideration. Without any specific promotional information, local users will need to rely on the menu and recent reviews to make an informed decision.

Came in there today and we were satisfied! The lady that took our order was awesome and the food was even better. Next time we come out this way since we’re truckers we are definitely coming back. Food was so good we devoured our take out in less than 5 minutes! This place need 10 ⭐️’s

I'm honestly really disappointed this place has remained take out only since covid. The only reason I can think for them to do so is that they make more money this way. They also removed their lunch special, have raised their prices, and quality is decreasing. I got the chicken chow mein with fried rice and sweet and sour pork. The pork was hard to chew, though the bater and sauce were good. The chow mein though was really disappointing. The sauce was basically water and the chicken was tasteless. The fried rice was simply boring, unfortunately. I will say though, the staff is nice, and always has been. I just wish they'd figure out their prices and actually open the restaurant part back up. The food being kind of gross could be a fluke, I've eaten here before and it's usually not this bad, though it's also not usually something impressive either, but the take out only and the prices changing all the time are really off putting for me. I've uploaded pictures of the most recent menu's for everyone so people can see the accurate prices.

The food looked amazing but unfortunately it didn’t taste the best. I’m a bit disappointed the chicken is way too crunchy and the rice doesn’t taste good.

Food tastes good and I spent over $75. I ordered a large container of wonton soup and ask for the wontons on the side so it wouldn’t be soggy on the ride home and it literally only came with 4 small wontons. Pretty disappointed as I spent so much on one order.

This was the worst chicken fried rice I have every had. The rice was very very brown, and very salty. They used way too much soy sauce. The peas were very hard and could not be eaten. There was next to no chicken and very little other vegetables. We ordered egg rolls, which were over done, to the point of being unable to bite into them because of overfrying. I paid way too much for a meal we couldn't eat. We will NEVER order food from this establishment again.
