About China One Restaurant

China One Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 508 Rauhut St in Burlington, North Carolina (NC 27217). As a Chinese restaurant, China One aims to provide the Burlington community with a variety of Chinese culinary options. Customers can contact the restaurant at (336) 226-5288 or via their mobile number at +1 336-226-5288 to place orders or inquire about their services. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance and dine-in experience are not extensively detailed online, Chinese restaurants typically offer a casual setting for enjoying meals, with takeout often being a significant part of their service.

Based on the limited customer reviews available, experiences at China One Restaurant appear to be polarized, with one review expressing significant dissatisfaction and another offering high praise. One critical review highlighted several concerns. Firstly, they noted a change in the way chicken wings are served, stating that they are now separated, which this customer perceived as a cost-saving measure unique among Chinese restaurants and detrimental to the value. Secondly, they criticized the fried rice, describing it as resembling "Spanish yellow rice with random meats" rather than traditional fried rice. Lastly, this reviewer pointed out an additional charge of $0.95 for hot oil, interpreting these changes as "cutting corners" that would ultimately harm the business.

In stark contrast, another customer expressed a highly positive opinion, describing the food as "good for the soul" and stating they have been a loyal customer for years without ever being disappointed. This reviewer acknowledged that the wait times could be long but consistently found the food to be worth the price and the amount received. This suggests that while some customers may experience issues, others have had consistently positive experiences with the food and value offered at China One Restaurant.

These contrasting reviews indicate a potential variability in the quality of certain dishes or perhaps differing customer expectations. The criticism regarding the fried rice and the additional charge for hot oil are specific points that potential customers might want to consider. On the other hand, the long-term satisfied customer suggests that China One may have established a reputation for providing enjoyable and value-for-money meals for some members of the community.

As a Chinese restaurant in Burlington, China One likely offers a menu featuring a range of classic Chinese-American dishes. These typically include various preparations of chicken, beef, pork, and seafood, along with different types of fried rice and noodle dishes, and a selection of appetizers. To get a clear understanding of their current menu, preparation methods, pricing (including any extra charges for items like hot oil), and the availability of dine-in or takeout services, it is recommended to contact the restaurant directly at the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about the ingredients and preparation of specific dishes, such as the fried rice and chicken wings, might also be beneficial for potential customers based on the feedback received.

Given the mixed feedback, individuals considering China One Restaurant may want to weigh the negative comments about changes in food preparation and extra charges against the positive long-term experience of another customer who praises the food and value. It is always helpful to look for more recent reviews on various online platforms to get a more comprehensive and up-to-date perspective on the restaurant's current offerings and customer satisfaction levels. Keep in mind that individual preferences and experiences can vary significantly.

In conclusion, China One Restaurant in Burlington, NC, offers Chinese cuisine with takeout and potentially dine-in services. While one recent review expressed concerns about changes in food preparation, additional charges, and perceived cost-cutting measures, another long-term customer praised the food and value. Potential customers are advised to consider these differing opinions and contact the restaurant directly for the most current information on their menu, pricing, and services to make an informed decision.

If I could do zero stars I would. 1. The chicken wings are now separated this is the 1st and only Chinese restaurant I know to separate the wings it’s a money grab. 2. The fried rice is NOT Fried rice is more like Spanish yellow rice with random meats. 3. Hot oil is an extra $.95. It seems like they’re cutting corners to find ways to save money but it will just end up hurting the business overall.

Good food for the soul, been going here for years and never been disappointed. The wait can be long but always worth it for what you’re paying and getting handed.

Great food, good service. Definitely recommend calling in and picking up at the drive through window, or running inside if you are in a hurry.

Fraud. This restaurant will over charge your card, and try to get you to pay more afterwards. MY ORDER WAS WRONG, mind you i ordered 2 small Sesame seed chicken plates, & chicken with a side of fried rice. I ended up spending $37, when the original price was $34, the lady printed out the recipe and showed me i owed her $4, and when i tried to show her my bank statements saying it charged me $37 she kept telling me i owed her $4, after that the lady then starts to remove the fried rice and the chicken i ordered, mind you she removed what i rightfully ordered and gives me the WRONG order, which is 3 sesame seed chicken plates ..it tasted like they just poured maple syrup all over it, the sesame seeds chicken does not look like chicken what so ever! in my opinion this place needs to be shut down, highly wouldn’t recommend.
