They can be contacted at (336) 769-9168 or +1 336-769-9168 for orders and inquiries.
Based on the limited online reviews available, China One appears to be a serviceable option for those craving Chinese food in the area. One reviewer described the fare as "not particularly amazing" but highlighted the extensive menu with "plenty of items on the menu to try." This suggests that China One offers a broad range of classic Chinese dishes, providing customers with numerous choices to satisfy their preferences. The reviewer specifically mentioned having tried several popular dishes, including beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, orange chicken, and lo mein, noting that all of them came out "fine." This indicates a consistent level of quality across different menu items, even if not exceptionally outstanding.
A significant positive aspect mentioned in the reviews is the portion sizes offered at China One. The same reviewer noted that the portions are "fairly big" and are "crammed into those containers." This is often a key consideration for customers, and the generous portions at China One are seen as a factor that "does make up for the prices somewhat," suggesting a reasonable value proposition where customers receive a substantial amount of food for what they pay.
The overall impression from this reviewer is that China One is a reliable "hole in the wall" establishment that is "perfectly serviceable when you want your Chinese fix." This suggests that while it might not be a high-end dining experience, it effectively meets the need for satisfying Chinese cuisine when the craving arises. The term "hole in the wall" often implies a no-frills establishment focused on delivering familiar flavors without an emphasis on elaborate ambiance.
Another customer expressed a strong positive sentiment towards China One, stating, "Love China one !! Food delicious n service great!!" This enthusiastic review directly contradicts the more moderate assessment of the first reviewer regarding the food quality, using the term "delicious." Furthermore, this reviewer praised the service as "great" and specifically mentioned the "lady" as being "very nice n very friendly." This highlights a potentially significant strength of China One: its customer service. The personal touch and friendliness of the staff can greatly enhance the overall dining experience, fostering customer loyalty.
The repeated affirmation, "Love , love , love China . My favorite ❤️," underscores a highly positive personal experience, indicating that for some customers, China One is more than just a serviceable option; it is a preferred and enjoyable place to get Chinese food. This suggests that while some may find the food to be simply "fine," others experience it as genuinely delicious, possibly depending on individual tastes and dish selections.
Considering these two reviews, China One appears to be a Chinese restaurant that offers a wide variety of dishes with generous portion sizes at a reasonable value. While one reviewer found the food to be of decent but not exceptional quality, another described it as delicious, indicating a potential for satisfying different palates. A notable strength seems to be the customer service, with at least one reviewer highlighting the friendliness and niceness of the staff.
Information regarding the environment or atmosphere of China One is limited. The term "hole in the wall" suggests a casual and unpretentious setting, likely prioritizing functionality and food quality over elaborate decor. Customers looking for a more upscale dining ambiance might find China One less appealing in terms of atmosphere, but those focused on good food and service at a reasonable price may find it satisfactory.
There is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in knowing about any specials, discounts, or new menu items at China One would need to contact the restaurant directly at (336) 769-9168 or +1 336-769-9168. It is common for Chinese restaurants to offer lunch specials or combination deals, so inquiring about these might be beneficial for those looking for value.
In summary, China One in Winston-Salem seems to be a local Chinese restaurant that offers a broad menu with substantial portions at prices that are considered reasonable given the quantity of food. While opinions on the food quality vary from "fine" to "delicious," the friendly and great service, as highlighted by one reviewer, adds to the positive aspects of this establishment. The "hole in the wall" description suggests a casual environment that may be less of a focus than the food and service. For local users seeking a reliable spot for their Chinese food cravings with a wide selection and generous portions, China One appears to be a worthwhile option to consider. It might be particularly appealing for take-out or for those who prioritize food and service over a fancy dining setting. Exploring their menu and perhaps trying some of their popular dishes like beef and broccoli, sesame chicken, orange chicken, or lo mein could provide a good introduction to what China One has to offer. Don't hesitate to call them for any specific inquiries about their menu or current promotions.

While not particularly amazing fare, there's plenty of items on the menu to try. I've had beef & broccoli, sesame chicken, orange chicken, lo mein, etc. And it all comes out fine. You also get some fairly big portions crammed into those containers, which does make up for the prices somewhat. Overall, this hole in the wall is perfectly serviceable when you want your chinese fix.

Totally messed my order up! Egg foo young is nasty. First and last time. Left out other order! DONE!
The website says it’s 10$ a plate of lo mein but when I went to purchase it was 13$ and 3$ for a bottle of Pepsi. Not happy at all. Way too expensive
