About China One
China One, situated at 2005 MO-7, Blue Springs, MO 64014, USA, operates as a Chinese restaurant aiming to serve the local community with a range of Asian dishes. Easily accessible by phone at (816) 220-9368 or mobile at +1 816-220-9368, this establishment positions itself within the "Chinese Restaurant" category, offering a selection of goods and services typical of such an eatery.
The overall environment at China One has been described as clean, though at times empty, suggesting a focus on efficiency and perhaps a significant volume of takeout business. A common observation is that the interior appears to have undergone renovations, implying an effort to maintain or upgrade the dining space. While some patrons might prefer a bustling atmosphere, an empty dining area can offer a more tranquil and private experience. The practical setup allows for diners to enjoy their meals on-site, though the emphasis on takeout or delivery is often a strong component of such establishments.
The service at China One, based on customer accounts, presents a notable contrast. Some reviews highlight positive aspects of the service, particularly concerning order accuracy and promptness, suggesting that the team strives for efficient handling of orders. However, other experiences recount significant dissatisfaction. One customer described an interaction with a rude person over the phone when calling to inquire about a menu item, indicating a potential inconsistency in customer service demeanor. This mixed feedback suggests that service quality may vary depending on the interaction or the specific staff member on duty.
China One's features primarily revolve around its menu, which generally comprises classic Chinese fare. Dishes that have been mentioned by customers include chicken chow mein, lo mein, egg drop soup, egg rolls, and ribs. The pricing is consistently noted as being quite affordable, with one review mentioning a meal combo that included wonton soup, rice, and an egg roll for less than $9. This affordability is a significant feature, making it an accessible option for budget-conscious diners seeking a full meal.
The quality of the food at China One is a point of considerable debate among customers, showcasing a wide spectrum of opinions. On one hand, some patrons have found the food to be "disgusting," reporting issues such as undercooked chicken, hard vegetables, mushy noodles, and overly sweet desserts. There were specific complaints about "cheese flavored water" instead of cheese, and jello sticking to the roof of the mouth, indicating significant dissatisfaction with certain items, particularly those from what might be a buffet or a broader selection beyond typical Chinese dishes. This negative feedback points to concerns about food preparation and ingredient quality in some instances, with one customer even suggesting an alternative restaurant nearby.
On the other hand, while not explicitly mentioned in the directly provided negative reviews, general online information about China One locations often indicates a basic "bare-bones Chinese eatery featuring all the classics, from lo mein to fried rice." This implies that for some, the restaurant delivers on a simple expectation of classic Chinese takeout. The low price point, coupled with generous portions often bundled into meal deals, may appeal to customers looking for a quick and inexpensive Chinese meal, regardless of gourmet expectations. The experience with specific dishes, like the chicken chow mein described as having chicken, onions, and bean sprouts in a clear sauce, without crispy noodles, highlights that interpretations of classic dishes might differ from a customer's expectation. This discrepancy led to questions about the authenticity of the dish, underscoring the variability in what one might receive.
Specific promotional information for China One is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. However, the mention of a meal that included wonton soup, rice, and an egg roll for under $9 can be considered a form of promotional value. Many Chinese restaurants offer such combination deals or lunch specials to attract customers, and it is likely that China One follows similar practices. The focus on providing a substantial amount of food for a reasonable price is a common strategy in this category of restaurant, inherently acting as a draw for customers seeking good value for their money.
In summary, China One in Blue Springs, MO, serves as a Chinese restaurant offering a range of classic dishes at affordable prices. Its environment is typically clean, and while service can be inconsistent, it aims for efficiency. The culinary experience appears to be highly variable, with some customers expressing strong dissatisfaction regarding food quality and preparation, while others may find its value and standard offerings acceptable for a casual Chinese meal. For prospective diners, China One presents an option for an economical Chinese meal, particularly for takeout, but individual experiences may differ significantly.

Not sure how to rate. I wanted to order something different from a different Chinese restaurant so I order the chicken chow mein. I’m not sure if what I ordered is chow mein. I know it’s not lo mein but I thought it for sure would be a thin fried crispy noodle, however I didn’t see any crispy noodles, just chicken, onions and bean spourts in a clear sauce. Honestly I think they forgot the crispy noodles. It taste ok not great but I’m not sure this is what I ordered. The place was clean and empty. It came with wonton soup rice and egg roll so a lot for less than $9. Not sure I will be back. Please comment if this is chow mein and I will edit this review. In response to the reply from China One. I know what I order. I order chow mein. I know the what lo mein is and I know what chow mei fun is as well. This was slimy, nasty and there was no crispy noodle. The rice was not good either.
The food was discusting we couldn't finish anything that we tried! The chicken was pink all the veggies that were suppose to be cooked weren't they were hard the hibachi cook didn't know what he was doing none of our food got fully cooked so once again hard veggies! The noodles were over cooked and mushy, their cheese was was cheese flavored water cheese shouldn't run off your chips or make your chips soggy, we tried their jello and it stuck to the top of our mouths and their ice cream was extremely over sweet like they added a whole container of chocolate syrup! Everything was just nasty I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy I say go up the street to Legand of Asia! They are trying to cut corners with their food to make their money back from the renovations they made to the resturant
Honestly for a small place with not much flare, my husband and I think they have really good food. We have had it a few times in a few months and it was very flavorful. Also the fried rice is delicious.
Best Chinese food in blue Springs! Promise.
Just paid $30 plus for vegetable and shrimp, egg roll, crab rague and soup. Worst Chinese I have ever ate. What changed? They used to be good. Never again. Did I say everything tasted like grease. Threw it all out after a few bites.
