About China One
Welcome to China One, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 8207 Market St B, Wilmington, NC 28411, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, China One aims to serve the Wilmington community with a variety of Chinese culinary options. You can contact us to place an order or for any inquiries at (910) 686-8588 or via mobile at +1 910-686-8588.
Based on the available customer reviews, China One offers delivery and potentially takeout services. One customer specifically ordered delivery during a non-busy time, indicating that this is a service they provide. Another customer who seemingly dined in or picked up their order mentioned "great service," suggesting that their in-person interaction was positive. However, no specific details about the restaurant's atmosphere, cleanliness, or dine-in facilities can be definitively ascertained from the provided reviews, as one negative reviewer did not visit the physical location.
Customer experiences with the food quality at China One appear to be significantly divergent. One customer reported a highly negative experience with their delivery order. They described the egg roll as "half-filled" and "so loosely rolled that the meager filling just fell out." Additionally, they found it to be "soggy and cold." The General Tso's Tofu was described as having a sauce that was "like water and tasteless," and the Hot and Sour Soup was deemed "absolute crap." This overwhelmingly negative feedback on multiple dishes from one order raises serious concerns about the consistency and quality of the food preparation at China One, at least for delivery orders.
In stark contrast, another customer described the fare as "standard Chinese" but praised the "great service" and the affordability, noting it as "cheap." This suggests that while the food might be perceived as typical Chinese cuisine, the service received by this customer was a significant positive, and the pricing was considered advantageous. This reviewer did express a minor suggestion for improvement, wishing that the black pepper chicken had "a little more sauce." This indicates that while generally satisfied, there was a slight aspect of the dish that could have been better according to their preference.
Considering these two contrasting reviews, China One seems to present a somewhat inconsistent experience for its customers. While one diner encountered significant issues with the quality of multiple delivered dishes, leading to a very negative overall impression, another found the food to be standard but appreciated the excellent service and low prices. This discrepancy suggests that the quality of food might vary, or that different customers have varying expectations and experiences.
For local users in Wilmington seeking a Chinese restaurant that offers delivery, China One is an option to consider. However, the strongly negative review regarding the delivery order should be taken into account. The positive mention of "great service" and "cheap" prices from another reviewer might appeal to those prioritizing affordability and good in-person service, assuming they picked up their order or dined in. Without more information, it is difficult to ascertain whether the quality issues reported by the delivery customer are isolated incidents or indicative of a broader problem.
As a platform providing information on Chinese Restaurants in Wilmington, it is our aim to present an objective view based on the available feedback. In the case of China One, the conflicting reviews make it challenging to offer a definitive assessment. The severe issues reported by one customer cannot be ignored, while the positive comments from another regarding service and price also provide a part of the picture. Potential customers might want to weigh these contrasting experiences when making their decision.
Given the limited information about the restaurant's environment and the starkly different food experiences reported, it is difficult to highlight specific features or promotional information. The positive aspects mentioned are the "great service" and "cheap" prices, while a significant negative is the poor quality of the delivered food in one instance. Local users might want to inquire about any specials or promotions when contacting China One, but they should also be mindful of the reported inconsistencies in food quality.
Local users in Wilmington looking for a Chinese restaurant might consider trying China One, perhaps starting with a small order to assess the food quality and service for themselves, especially if price is a significant factor. If delivery is preferred, it might be prudent to inquire about their preparation methods and quality control to mitigate the risk of a negative experience similar to the one reported. Alternatively, exploring other Chinese restaurants in the Wilmington area with more consistently positive reviews might be a safer option for those prioritizing food quality above all else.
In conclusion, China One in Wilmington offers delivery and potentially takeout/dine-in services. While one customer praised the great service and low prices, another reported a very negative experience with the quality of delivered food. This inconsistency in feedback suggests that potential customers should approach China One with caution and perhaps try a small order first to gauge their own experience.

Customer Reviews
This restaurant is just up the road and had good reviews, so I tried it. Ordered delivery at a time that was not busy (4:30 in the afternoon). It was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese delivery I can ever remember getting. Egg roll was half-filled and so loosely rolled that the meager filling just fell out of it at one bite. It was soggy and cold. General Tso's Tofu sauce was like water and tasteless. Hot and Sour Soup was absolute crap. Since I got delivery and didn't pick up there, I have no opinion on atmosphere or cleanliness, but I will never, ever order from here again.
Standard Chinese fare - great service, and cheap. I wish the black pepper chicken had a little more sauce however.
Best takeout Chinese food I’ve had in Wilmington so far. People at the register are always nice and friendly.
Dropped in for lunch’. Ordered the four chicken wings with chicken fried rice. Food was hot and quick. However, the wings had limited seasoning, hoping for more flavor. Same with the fried rice; only onions and chicken meat. Very disappointed.
Felt homely and low-pressure. Service was quick, staff was friendly, and prices were low, considering the quality of the food!
