Based on recent online reviews, customer experiences at China One present a mixed perspective on the food quality of specific dishes. One reviewer noted that while the food was generally "good," there were specific aspects of their order that were less satisfactory. They mentioned that the shrimp in the garlic shrimp dish was excellent but was accompanied by an excessive amount of sauce. Additionally, the broccoli in their meal was described as being mushy, indicating a potential issue with the texture of some vegetables.
In the same review, the customer also commented on the chicken lo-mein, stating that it contained very little chicken and vegetables. However, they did acknowledge that the dish tasted good overall, suggesting that while the proportions of ingredients might not have met expectations, the flavor profile was still enjoyable.
Another customer shared their experience with the General Tso's chicken and rice. They found the rice to be unusually yellow and very bland, lacking in flavor. Furthermore, they reported that the "chicken bites" in their General Tso's chicken consisted primarily of breading with very little actual chicken inside. Despite these significant criticisms of the rice and chicken, this reviewer did find a positive aspect in their order, stating that the egg rolls were "very good." This highlights that while some dishes may fall short, others at China One are well-received.
Considering these reviews, it appears that while some elements of the food at China One are appreciated, there are inconsistencies and areas for potential improvement in the preparation of certain dishes. The feedback regarding excessive sauce, mushy vegetables, imbalanced ingredient proportions, bland rice, and overly breaded chicken provides specific points of concern for potential customers to consider.
As a Chinese restaurant, China One likely offers a broad menu that includes a variety of popular Chinese-American dishes. These typically encompass different types of fried rice, noodle dishes such as lo mein and chow mein, and a range of chicken, beef, and seafood entrees prepared with various sauces and vegetables. Appetizers like egg rolls, spring rolls, and perhaps dumplings or wontons are also commonly found on such menus. The specific dishes mentioned in the reviews – garlic shrimp, chicken lo-mein, General Tso's chicken, and egg rolls – are all standard offerings in many Chinese restaurants.
The reviews do not provide explicit information about the dining environment at China One. It is not mentioned whether the restaurant has a particular ambiance or decor. Similarly, there is no direct feedback on the quality of dine-in service, although the positive comment about the "good" food suggests that customers might be having their meals either at the restaurant or elsewhere. The fact that customers are placing orders for dishes like lo-mein and General Tso's chicken implies that takeout service is available.
It is not explicitly stated whether China One offers delivery services to the local Manchester area. Customers who prioritize the convenience of delivery would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about this option and the areas they serve.
In terms of features, the "very good" egg rolls mentioned by one reviewer could be considered a standout item. The overall "good" taste of some dishes, despite other issues, also suggests a foundation of flavor that could be appealing. However, the inconsistencies in preparation and ingredient quality, as pointed out in the reviews, are important factors for potential customers to be aware of.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. To learn about any special offers, discounts, or new menu items that China One might be currently offering, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly by phone. They may also have information about daily specials or promotions when you inquire.
In conclusion, China One in Manchester, PA, is a Chinese restaurant that has received mixed reviews regarding its food quality. While some dishes, like the shrimp in the garlic shrimp and the egg rolls, have been praised, other items such as the broccoli, chicken lo-mein (in terms of ingredient proportions), rice, and General Tso's chicken have received criticism for issues like excessive sauce, mushy texture, blandness, and lack of meat content. Potential customers should consider these specific experiences when deciding whether to dine at or order from China One. For the most accurate information on their menu, services, and any ongoing promotions, direct contact with the restaurant is recommended.

Food was good. The shrimp in the garlic shrimp was great, but swimming in sauce. The broccoli was mushy. The chicken lo-mien had very little chicken and veggies. It did taste good.
I ordered General Tso and the rice was very yellow and very bland…no chicken in the chicken bites just alot of bread. I give two stars because the eggrolls are very good. Just not the rice or the chicken.
the food was so bad. my chicken was rubbery and wet, and it tasted like nothing. the rice was okay but had zero flavor. the egg drop soup smelled awful and was so thick. i’m really hoping i don’t get food poisoning because they definitely don’t use real meat..also it was pretty expensive for crappy food. Do not eat here!
Ordered General Taos chicken and was given fake chicken. It was all breading filler. A couple pieces has some tiny pieces of stringy dry meat but mostly was just fake breading. The rice tasted like how cardboard smells. My rice was neon yellow and the sauce was bright red. I should have looked at the food before I left. Hands down the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. How are people giving this place good reviews?! Maybe fake accounts. Attached is the photo of the “chicken”. Eat at your own risk.
I went to pick up food here , gave dude at the desks a Wells Fargo debit card that read ATM card at the corner . He wouldn’t take it , he rudely said that they don’t accept Those types of cards there , and that I’m the first person to ever go in there with a card like that and try to buy anything . I was confused , it was a Wells Fargo issued Debit card , I use it for everything !! But he continued trying to belittle me in front of his co workers , and quiet honestly I felt like he was acting like this because he was a racist . His attitude was that of someone who doesn’t trust you inside of of their store and just wants you gone. If you care for this place still , the food was okay , I had to use my Apple Pay which was connected to the same card 😵💫 in order to be given my food . If it wasn’t because my co workers were relying on me to bring back their lunch I would of just left those plates there. The lack of respect in this one man was enough for me to say I’m no longer going over there , it can happen to you , or it may not , maybe this comment changes their characters around … or it may not … but today I felt discriminated against , 100% less than
