About China One

China One is a Chinese restaurant located at 2501 E Mayfield Rd in Arlington, Texas, catering to the local community with a diverse menu of Chinese cuisine. As a part of the Chinese restaurant category, it aims to provide a range of dishes and services typical of such establishments. While specific details regarding the restaurant's ambiance and interior design are not available from the provided information, it is mentioned by one reviewer as offering "New York style Chinese take out," which suggests a focus on efficiency and convenience for customers looking to enjoy their meals off-site. It's reasonable to assume that they also offer a dine-in option, typical of many Chinese restaurants, providing a casual setting with tables and chairs for customers who prefer to eat at the premises. However, the emphasis in one review on takeout suggests that this might be a significant aspect of their service model.

The primary services offered by China One likely include both takeout and dine-in options. The positive review explicitly mentions "New York style Chinese take out," indicating that they are well-equipped to handle and perhaps specialize in takeout orders. The presence of phone numbers, (817) 467-1688 and +1 817-467-1688, confirms that customers can place orders or make inquiries via telephone. Information regarding online ordering or delivery services through third-party platforms is not provided in the given data. However, it is common for Chinese restaurants to offer these conveniences, so local users might want to check with the restaurant directly or explore popular food delivery apps to see if China One is listed.

The customer reviews for China One present a stark contrast in experiences, indicating a potential inconsistency in food quality or preparation. One reviewer had an overwhelmingly negative experience, describing several dishes as unsatisfactory. They characterized the curry chicken as a "watered-down mess of veggies and what appeared to be chicken," suggesting a lack of substance and quality in the ingredients. Furthermore, they reported that the wontons "stunk of meat that went bad," raising serious concerns about food freshness. The egg roll was described as cold, and the fried rice was dismissed as "nothing other than colored rice," implying a lack of proper preparation or flavor. This reviewer concluded that the entire meal was "unfit for a dog to eat," expressing extreme dissatisfaction.

Conversely, another reviewer had a highly positive experience, proclaiming China One as the "Best Chinese Food in Arlington!" They reiterated the "New York style Chinese take out" aspect and praised the restaurant for offering "large portions, great prices, delicious food!" This reviewer specifically highlighted the "Combination fried rice" as being "the best around," suggesting it is a standout dish. This positive feedback indicates that China One is capable of providing satisfying meals with good value, at least according to this particular customer.

The significant disparity between these two reviews suggests that the quality of food at China One might be inconsistent or that different customers have vastly different expectations or experiences. The negative review raises serious concerns about food quality and freshness, which could be a major deterrent for potential customers. The positive review, on the other hand, praises the taste, portion sizes, and prices, indicating that some customers find the restaurant to be a great option for Chinese takeout in Arlington, particularly if they appreciate "New York style." The mention of "large portions" and "great prices" suggests that China One might offer good value for money when the food quality is up to par.

For local users in Arlington considering China One, it is crucial to acknowledge the conflicting feedback. The strong positive review, particularly the praise for the combination fried rice and the overall value, might be enticing. If "New York style Chinese take out" is a preference, this could also be a draw. However, the very negative review detailing issues with food quality, freshness, and preparation cannot be ignored. Potential customers should be aware of the possibility of receiving a meal that does not meet expectations. It might be advisable to consider the specific dishes mentioned in both reviews – perhaps trying the combination fried rice based on the positive feedback, while being cautious about the curry chicken, wontons, and egg rolls due to the negative experience reported.

Given the limited number of reviews and their contrasting nature, it is difficult to form a definitive overall assessment of China One. The restaurant seems to have the potential to provide delicious food with good value and large portions, particularly for takeout. However, there is also a risk of encountering significant issues with food quality and freshness, as highlighted by the negative review. Local users might want to weigh these factors and possibly look for more recent or additional reviews on other platforms to get a broader sense of the current customer experience at China One before making a decision.

In conclusion, China One at 2501 E Mayfield Rd in Arlington, TX, is a Chinese restaurant that offers "New York style Chinese take out" and likely dine-in services. It has received contrasting customer feedback, with one reviewer praising its large portions, great prices, delicious food (especially the combination fried rice), while another reported a severely negative experience with multiple dishes exhibiting poor quality and freshness. Potential customers should be aware of this mixed feedback and consider the specific dishes mentioned in the reviews when making their dining choices. Further investigation into more recent customer experiences might be beneficial to get a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of China One.

Where do I even start? The curry chicken was a watered-down mess of veggies and what appeared to be chicken. The wontons stunk of meat that went bad. The eggroll was cold. The fried rice wasn't anything other than colored rice. So confused by this entire unfortunate meal. Want fit for a dog to eat.

This place is the closest to NY CHINESE that I have tasted since moving to Texas 3 yrs ago. The fried rice is the correct the color and so are the ribs (RED not brown). Today was my second time visiting since Saturday!!

Quality has gotten really bad. Not sure if they got new owners but don’t order from this place. My General Tso chicken was heavily over cooked along with the greasiest egg rolls I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Completely inedible! From now on I’m only ordering from Take a Bao. They have freshly cooked/prepared food there.
