About China One
China One is a Chinese restaurant located at 1064 Copperfield Dr in Georgetown, IN 47122. As a part of the local Chinese restaurant scene, China One aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes and services to the Georgetown community. This introduction will delve into what potential customers can expect from this establishment, based on the information available from online reviews.
While specific details about the environment of China One in Georgetown are not extensively described in the provided reviews, one customer mentioned "friendly service," which suggests a positive interaction with the staff and potentially a welcoming atmosphere. Regular customers who "eat here often" also imply a level of comfort and satisfaction with the overall experience, which could include the ambiance of the restaurant. However, another review offers a contrasting perspective on the quality, which might indirectly reflect on the environment if customers perceive a lack of attention to detail in the food preparation and ingredients.
In terms of services, China One likely offers both dine-in and takeout options, as is typical for most Chinese restaurants. The availability of phone numbers, (812) 951-1199 and +1 812-951-1199, indicates that customers can place orders for pickup. While delivery is not explicitly mentioned, it is a service that many Chinese restaurants provide, so it is possible that China One in Georgetown also offers this option. Local users may want to contact the restaurant directly to confirm the availability of delivery services and to inquire about their dine-in facilities.
The features of China One, as portrayed in the customer reviews, present a dichotomy. One reviewer consistently praises the restaurant for "great food and friendly service," highlighting the "consistent" quality as a reason for their frequent patronage. This suggests that for some customers, China One delivers satisfactory meals and a positive service experience. However, another, more critical review paints a different picture, asserting that this "China One" is of "low quality" and that they "cut corners everywhere." This reviewer claims the restaurant uses "cheaper sauces," "smaller fortune cookies," and includes a significant portion of "fried dough" in their fried options. They also allege that the amount of chicken in their dishes is smaller compared to a "China One" in Louisville and that the rice contains "cheap frozen vegetables" and is of the "cheapest" quality, with "small" and "mid flavor" egg rolls. This detailed negative feedback suggests potential issues with the quality of ingredients and the preparation of several menu items.
The critical reviewer goes as far as to explicitly recommend trying the "China One" in Louisville instead, claiming it offers better quality for the same price. This direct comparison, while subjective, raises concerns about the standards at the Georgetown location in the eyes of this particular customer. The stark contrast between the two reviews underscores the importance of considering that individual experiences can vary significantly.
Currently, there is no information provided in the reviews regarding any promotional offers or specials at China One in Georgetown. It is common for Chinese restaurants to offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts on certain days or for specific order amounts. Local residents interested in dining at or ordering from China One might want to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about any current promotions that could enhance their value or experience.
In conclusion, China One in Georgetown, Indiana, offers local residents a Chinese dining option with likely dine-in and takeout services, and potentially delivery. While one reviewer consistently praises the "great food and friendly service" and the consistent quality, another provides a detailed critique, alleging the use of lower quality ingredients and preparation methods compared to a similarly named restaurant in Louisville. This contrasting feedback suggests that the experience at China One in Georgetown may be variable. As there is no information on current promotions, potential customers may wish to contact the restaurant directly for any special offers. Given the mixed reviews, local users might want to consider both perspectives when deciding whether China One meets their expectations for Chinese cuisine in Georgetown.

Great food and friendly service! We eat here often because it’s usually very consistent in quality.
I’m not kidding at all when I say this “China One” is low quality. They cut corners everywhere, they buy the cheaper sauces, the smaller fortune cookies, a big portion of their fried options about quarter will be fried dough. The amount of chicken they put in is smaller compared to the “China One” in Louisville. Even the rice has the cheap frozen vegetables and they use the cheapest rice, and the egg rolls are small and with mid flavor. If you’ve read this try the Louisville “China One’ it’s the same price but better quality everything.. if your looking for good food that’s the same price as this place just try the Louisville “China One” you can thank me later
Ok, we lived close to China One for many years, it's always been good but the last few times (2024 fall) the food quality has definitely gone down. The fried rice today had a bad taste and the sweet &sour chicken was mostly dough, the egg rolls have gotten much smaller. So after 20+ years we decided to put them on our No Go list
I have tried this place a few times, thinking I would like it. The other reviews are amazing. This last time I ordered, I picked up the food came home and the food was clearly cold and left over. If you've ever had leftover general tso, that's exactly what I got for $30. You can see from the picture, the sauce is coagulated.....disgusting! This is exactly 15 minutes after I called in my order. The chicken lo mein seem to be reheated as well. Honestly, in the past when I've gotten it warm, it's still subpar. I will not go back.
General So chicken was great! Egg roll was very skinny and small, almost nothing inside it at all. Very disappointed in the egg roll
