I called in & placed an order for pickup to save time. Upon getting there I am told to wait as the food will “soon be ready” & i basically had to wait for 10 mins as the food was prepared & wasn’t already made. Imagine my surprise when the food came out & wasn’t what I ordered, I ordered the General Tso & got sweet & sour chicken. Please, does this look like General Tso to anyone?!

The food was bad but the service was good. She asked if everything was good and I was very honest in telling her no, and that we didn’t want a to go box. She didn’t offer to compensate our meal or if there was something else we would like instead. I have to leave an honest review, don’t go here. I don’t know how people eat this stuff. The sweet and sour chicken looked like Tyson chicken nuggets drenched in sauce. My chicken was supposed to be deep fried but the fried part was kinda gritty. I didn’t want to eat more because I thought I would get food poisoning. Also the wontons were not good either. The spite didn’t have enough syrup, the rice wasn’t soft and was a bit crunchy. It was overall a bad experience.

I have been coming to China Moon for years, and it’s probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Nola area. For takeout and dine-in, I just love this place. Today for lunch I had takeout: Mandarin chicken with shrimp fried rice and eggs roll, shrimp toast, and crab Rangoon. I’m a crab Rangoon fanatic, and these are by far some of my favorites I’ve ever tried. Service is always warm and friendly, and very fast. 5/13/2024 - still my favorite Chinese food anywhere. I’ve never had bad food from here, and the woman behind the counter is always incredibly friendly. I think people saying she is rude are giving her an attitude first honestly, or don’t actually know what “rude” is.

Plenty of parking space. Large and nicely decorated dinning room. Lots of choices on the menu. The food was delicious.

I recently visited China, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was friendly and efficient. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Not to mention how delicious the food is. Overall, a great spot for a casual meal with tasty Chinese food! Would definitely recommend.
