Based on recent customer feedback, China Moon Chinese Restaurant offers a lunch special that provides a good amount of food for the price of $10. Customers have generally found the rice, chicken, and soup to be satisfactory. However, there have been some inconsistencies reported with other items. One customer mentioned disappointment with the rangoons, noting that the cream cheese may have vaporized during cooking or leaked out.

Another customer shared a very negative experience with the beef and broccoli dish, describing it as bland, lacking flavor and seasoning, with a watery sauce that didn't adhere to the ingredients. This reviewer felt compelled to make their own sauce from scratch to make the dish palatable. They also expressed surprise at the preparation of this classic Chinese dish and provided detailed suggestions for improvement.

While some aspects of the meal, such as the rice, chicken, and soup, have been positively reviewed, it's important for potential customers to be aware of the reported issues with the rangoons and, particularly, the beef and broccoli dish. If you're looking for a budget-friendly lunch special with certain reliable items, China Moon Chinese Restaurant might be an option, but it's advisable to consider the varying experiences shared by other patrons.

Got a good bit of food for the lunch special at $10. My only disappointment was the rangoons were either cooked so much the cream cheese vaporized or it came out during cooking. Usually I get the sweet and sour pork as my side and maybe next time I'll go back to that. The rice and chicken and soup were just great though.

This was my first time ever trying this restaurant and I had a few expectations and one of them was definitely to receive my beef and broccoli dinner with an excellent result. It was really bad. And I am not joking. The moment I opened the tray I knew this was not the kind of beef and broccoli that I usually eat from ANY Chinese restaurant. There’s usually a dark saucy kind of flavor and texture to the meat and vegetable. This had nothing, no flavor, not even seasoning. It was the most blandest dish I have ever had. the sauce was extremely watery and it didn’t even stick even if you add the soy sauce. So I said hmmm let me just try the broccoli. 🫢 NOPE! Okay I’ll try the beef. 🥴 It was so tasteless that I had to actually make my own beef and broccoli sauce. Yes. After buying a meal at the restaurant I had to MAKE THE SAUCE from scratch to be able to eat what I paid for. This is a before and after picture because I really didn’t understand what Chinese restaurant doesn’t make their food this way? I see this place has great potential and people DO order and eat at this place but I’m sure the beef and broccoli is not a best seller. If you do want it to be a best seller or at least good to eat, you need to add seasoning and sauce to the meal China moon. Watery soy sauce WILL NOT WORK. You need water, oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and corn starch with white vinegar and whatever else you want to give it that traditional flavor. Because what I received was not good at all and I’m happy it was so late and I had my kids because if I weren’t exhausted I would have taken that plate back to your kitchen.

Stopped in here while staying the night on Randolph. It seems most restaurants were closed or closing around 8pm so this was our choice. It’s about a mile or so from the main gate. It’s a small place with 10 tables, seen many to go orders though. Our son enjoyed the kids sweet and sour chicken, sauce was flavorful. Wife had the orange chicken but wasn’t too impressed, said a little too soggy but flavored well. I had the broccoli beef dinner with fried rice, egg roll, fried pork and egg drop soup. The egg drop was delicious and not watery. The broccoli beef was skeptical due to not having the dark brown bean sauce to its color but it was still good with fresh broccoli and onions. Overall it was 3.5 on food, not bad.

Food was great I got the House Noodle Soup with shrimp and chicken, the broth was amazing. I added hot oil and soy sauce to taste, if you don't like green onions tell them before hand. My hubby got lemon chicken he liked it.

Good place to eat. Portions were generous, food hot. The fried rice was okay to good - just tasty rice, nothing added. Clean. Staff was attentive and food arrived promptly. The dinners menu was very good value for all the things you received. Try it out.
