About China Max

China Max is a Chinese restaurant located at 500 Winchester Ave Space # 136 in Ashland, KY 41101. As a Chinese Restaurant, China Max aims to serve the local community with a variety of Chinese culinary offerings. They can be contacted at (606) 329-8887 or via their mobile number, +1 606-329-8887.

Based on recent online feedback from customers, it appears that experiences at China Max have been notably negative. One reviewer described their food as "trash," stating they wasted $70 on their meal. This customer reported an issue with menu availability, as the "bourbon street chick" dish was almost out, with only half a scoop remaining. When offered General Tso's chicken as a substitute, they were allegedly charged for a double order simply for having two meat options. This experience led the reviewer to conclude that they would "never go back."

Another customer also shared a very unfavorable experience. They mentioned that only four entrees were available from the entire menu. Upon sitting down to eat, they found the food to be unenjoyable and very dry. This reviewer also detailed a negative interaction while trying to order a drink. They approached an employee who was occupied with their phone and was told to wait "just five seconds." After waiting for over a minute while looking at a cooler of readily available bottled drinks, the customer decided to leave and patronize another establishment, Sbarro, where they received immediate attention and service. This customer stated that their experience at China Max was poor and they would have preferred to eat "literally anywhere else."

Considering these two recent reviews, there are significant concerns raised about the food quality, menu availability, and customer service at China Max. One reviewer explicitly labeled the food as "trash" and felt their money was wasted. The other described the food as "not enjoyable" and "very dry," further indicating potential issues with food preparation or quality control. The limited menu availability reported by one customer suggests possible problems with kitchen operations or ingredient stocking.

The service experiences described in these reviews are also negative. One customer felt unfairly charged for a substituted dish, while the other experienced inattentive service due to an employee being on their phone and a significant delay in getting a drink. These instances point to potential shortcomings in customer service practices and attentiveness.

The environment of China Max is not explicitly detailed in the provided information. However, being located in "Space # 136" at 500 Winchester Ave suggests it might be situated within a larger complex or shopping center. The atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant are not described in the reviews.

In terms of features, the limited information available does not highlight any specific unique offerings or specialties of China Max. The negative reviews primarily focus on the shortcomings in food and service rather than any positive features.

There is no promotional information provided in the text. It is unknown if China Max currently offers any discounts, special deals, or loyalty programs.

In conclusion, the recent online feedback for China Max in Ashland, KY, paints a concerning picture regarding food quality, menu availability, and customer service. Potential local users should be aware of these recent negative experiences when considering dining at this establishment. It might be prudent to seek more up-to-date reviews or consider other Chinese restaurant options in the Ashland area before making a decision.

The mail is the only reason this place gets business. Food was trash i literally wasted 70 bucks. They ran out of the bourbon street chick had a half a scoop. She asked if I would like some General sous chicken instead. I said yes. She charged me for a double order just because I had two meats. Horrible we will never go back.

Where to start. Well, only four entrees off of the whole menu were available and after sitting down to eat we found the food was not enjoyable and very dry. There was a point where I decided that I wanted something to drink with my meal so I went back up to the counter. The employee behind the counter was off to the side and on her phone. She acknowledged me and told me to wait "just five seconds". Not a problem at all. However, after standing there for well over a minute waiting looking at a cooler of bottled drinks that no one would have to take time to prepare; I decided to go over to Sbarro where I was instantly greeted and waited on by employees who were not on their phones. Not a good experience, I would have much rather eaten literally anywhere else

I ordered BBQ chicken, low mien and egg roll. Meal was a little over $12. The server did not hand me my meal until I had to ask for it and seemed very rude to begin with. After sitting down I took one bite and found an animal hair in the chicken. I pulled the hair out of my mouth. It was a black hair with a gray tip. I considered whether or not to forget about it or return it for a refund. I decided to get a refund but when I placed the meal on the counter and told the server what happened she said “No. No refund.” I was shocked and stated again I wanted a refund and asked why she said no. She asked “What kind of hair?”. I told her I had no clue what kind of animal it was from but was an animal hair. She once again said no refund because she didn’t see the hair. I’ve had to call the corporate office. I didn’t get my refund or a meal.
